Absolutely ridiculous have a 2 seater setter and a poof from DFS absolutely no tears or stains whatsoever and they refused to take as it was a little faded, well they said it was !! Unbelievable!! Charity is charity

Failed to ring 30 minutes before arriving as promised and then refused a perfectly good bed because we had not dismantled the frame. If they had told us beforehand that we should do this we would have done so. Will.donate elsewhere in future.

Excellent service today from BHS Bolton. Kept me up to date on collection times. When they arrived they removed quite a large amount of furniture carefully and quickly without any damage. I will definitely use them again.

Good quality furniture with fire safety certs. Brand new electrical items including TV's with manuals. Disrespectful approach to assessing content of house. Want £600 from us to do the clearance. Was one of our preferred charities but won't be donating anymore.

Hi, sorry to say this but I tried donating 8 bags of nice quality clothes and electrical items for home collection. Total waste of time as I was told its not worth their while to collect. Very misleading as I wasn't told this when I made my online booking. Very rude!

First day they did not come, did not bother to call or ring the bell. Second day they came, were very rude and aggressive , saying they will not do the job. Refused to take a good mattress because it could not be sold. Fair enough. Would possible been better to know this before. Maybe a video call since we called to arrange this anyway ? Forgot part of the other thing I was donating in the elevator.... I'd say very bed experience, it stressed me out. One of the guys who came to collect was terribly rude.

I was looking for an unreliable button to press. I waited in from 09:00/17:00 today nobody bothered to come to uplift or contact although they had my mobile BHF your loss also after reading the reviews I'm glad you never arrived.

I'm disappointed to see that the area I thought was pleasant and welcoming is in fact a place where people are nice to you and throw bad comments behind your back.

Same as the rest, perfectly fine sofa to donate that they simply couldn't be arsed to move after waiting in all day. If they are going to be this picky, they need to do a video review or similar to save people's time. Was my charity of choice. No longer.

Don't understand why BHF came in the first place. Clear from the outset they didn't want to be here, let alone collect anything. Mentioned stains on the underside of sofa they were supposed to be collecting! Given litany of dreadful reviews, you'd think they'd do something to improve relationship with supporters wanting to donate goods. I suspect that BHF doesn't need to funds so has decided to treat its donors poorly.

bought a wardrobe. ridiculous amount of assembly effort, even requiring an impact driver to get half the screws to bed in (not a ‘screwdriver’ as per diagram) may as well have just given us a tree trunk and told us to build one from that. Be warned: if you aren’t half competent at carpentry and own a nice collection of dewalt power tools, putting them together will be a nightmare. IKEA they certainly aren’t.

What is wrong with BHF? Refused my items, sorry didn't know you only take brand new. Nothing wrong with it, it would save someone sleeping on the floor. The drivers were do rude and started to lift my hall cupboard that was not bring donated. I will never be donating to them again which is sad because I have used them to buy stuff as well as donate. Awful service and attitude 😖

Had a 2 seater sofa to donate, colour was a little faded but otherwise nothing wrong with it, was a good quality M&S sofa. I contacted BHF as a last resort as other charities didnt have space - I'd had issues with BHF either not turning up at all or refusing saying stuff isnt saleable but I'D BOUGHT IT OFF THEM IN THE SAME CONDITION IN THE FIRST PLACE so I hoped theyd take it. I'd taken the day off work to wait in for them, fingers crossed theyd turn up, they did but of course they refused to take it. I was moving home and needed it gone quickly so then had to pay nearly £100 for someone to dispose of a perfectly good sofa instead. Such a shameful waste and so frustrating! Wont bother with BHF again.

I had a small American fridge freezer that worked perfectly and was in very good condition and rather than sell it, decided to donate to BHF. Phoned up and explained the size, also gave measurements on the donation form online. When the 2 guys arrived in the van they were rude and unhelpful saying it was too heavy to move and they had no equipment to move it. My husband offered to get it to the front door but they clearly were not interested and couldn’t be bothered. Having had a previous bad experience where a table and chairs were just thrown in the back of the van I will NEVER donate again!

I would even give 1 star I would give zero stars like all reviews they refuse you not take the items you giving away free. I had booked for coffee table hifi and dressing which they said no too only because it’s been painted And you buy from it’s a joke too I live just down 1 road they charge you £25-30 I would give people free on FACEBOOK than these which I didn’t rude

Really awful my uncle has passed and he wanted his furniture to go to BHF so I booked a slot saying I was 2.5 hours away they said they could not give me a time slot but would ring 30 mins beforehand so I arranged if I was not there then the estate agents would let them in, no phone call came arrived at 10.50 with note on door saying missed you . Was told they could not comeback even though I had travelled all that way, they were rude unhelpful and said they did ring I had no missed call or messsge, I am glad the furniture has not gone to them. The staff were extremely unhelpful and no compassion whatsoever will not be using them or going in their shops ever again

Visited Hartlepool branch today with a disabled gentleman I care for he wanted to purchase a desk priced at 40 pounds the lady informed me it was thirty pounds to deliver not even a mile up the road so it would of cost him 79 pounds absolutely shocking delivery prices considering this is a charity and the lady’s attitude was well if you don’t want to pay then so be it very abrupt and unfriendly staff will not be visiting again

Booked a collection for the BHF to collect 2 x sofa's which we paid in the region of £2000 for. Granted it was 18 years old but they point blank refused to take it due to staining and a small rip in a cushion. Surely they would make a few hundred as it is still good and in useable condition? We are now stuck with 2 old sofa's and have a new one arriving tomorrow so has left us in a position!!!! Staff attitude is also not the best considering we are giving it away for FREEI I will never deal with the BHF ever again and would question exactly what their 'research' entails in any case.....

Booked a collection for a wonderful sofa which was in good condition, due to the texture of the sofa, they mentioned it got stained and denied taking them for charity. I will never buy from BHF. We had bought so many furnitures from BHF earlier so thought of giving this good one.
