It was long but the videos were very helpful and kept it entertaining.

Boatsmart was a lot more in depth then I thought it would be. ( No pun intended ) A good starting point for anyone who wants to buy their first boat or somebody that hasn't owned a boat for a long time. The online course took a few hours to complete because of long videos. I found it disappointing if you had to review the entire video because you failed to pass the exam in a particular section of the course. Shorter videos would make more sense and move things along much faster.

I think it's mandatory to everybody who wants to to get a boat license.

It was good except for the final exam you never got to know what questions you answered wrong. Knowing what you answered wrong would help you in learning what's right.

this course is VERY informative and you learn A LOT it just takes a long time to get through the modules I wish they weren't timed I'm a fast reader so that was a bit frustrating but overall a good experience getting my boating license through boatsmart!

The course was well laid out however the ability to fast forward to the quiz was not possible, you have to move through each video or slide regardless if you had the book. The course content itself (no fault to Boatsmart) appeared to be focused on ocean or great lake regulations and actions, specifically many lakes in AB, BC and SK do not have the size or markings that were so heavily taught in the program.

Each module takes to long if you have to repeat

Very functional way to get a Boat Smart Card...learned alot of details, but, although done online still a bit of a stress factor. Great idea, and hopefully everyone comes away with one new boating point.

I found the BOATsmart training and examination process very informative and easy to navigate. The entire experience was excellent from beginning to end and I really appreciated being able to leave off my work when I had other things to do and then pick up again where I left off. Over all, I would definitely recommend the BOATsmart program to anyone interested in obtaining their pleasure craft operator's certificate.

Alot of info for large vessels... To me that should be its own license.. Like driving a school bus or transport. A lot of useless unformation that people will never remember. Keep to the basics, safety, management, gear, in the event of an accident stuff .. Just my opinion

While the program is good, it seems a little over the top for someone who wants to ride a seadoo in a lake. This is especially true given that any yahoo can rent a seadoo or boat and is not required to have a license or go through the course...how does that make any sense? The course itself was well laid out, but again is a huge time commitment. Thank you

Hi there ... I am thinking if you could add something to help a new boaters to buy the first boat and more information about the engine inboard outboard etc. Although if possible to mention some recommended names for dealership or mechanic to do service And some tips to make easy for us to choose the first boat .

Overall a very positive experience. Two suggestions - advise people taking the exams the results of their exams including the correct and incorrect responses. How can someone improve their skills, if the results are not shared with them? Secondly, it would appear that the BOATsmart software cannot distinguish between those that have taken the course and exam and those that have not. In the last two weeks, I received two e mails requesting that I take the course and exam when in fact I took the course and passed the exam earlier. Thanks,

I thought that each slide was to vague and that Boatsmart should add more information on each slide or combine slides because then the whole course takes much longer to finish. I realized that a lot in lesson 2.
