An absolute disgrace,ignore emails,ask for paperwork they already have been given.lied to me about buyer still overlooking paperwork when the buyer had still not instructed his solicitors.this is 3 months on while I duly sent paperwork and chased them for 3 weeks.needless to say I swiftly changed solicitors.avoid at all costs...

High standard of service throughout the conveyancing process with regular updates. Clear instructions, staff friendly and approachable but entirely professional. Very fair pricing. I would have no hesitation in recommending this firm.

The speedy and professionalism provided by BPL was amazing, especially by Stephanie Anscombe. We went through many mortgages but never this smooth and very satisfactory experience. wonderful !!!

Have now spoken to no less than six individuals at the Dorchester office, none of whom (bar one) seemed to have any idea of what had happened in previous e-mails, we have been asked for payment for searches that we've already paid on two additional occasions and been asked to complete forms already completed and submitted. No one, including the main switchboard answers their phones, you just get put through to an answerphone. We are on a tight schedule to complete before the chain falls apart and no-one seems to appreciate the urgency or have any idea of progress on the contact. We've had to chase repeatedly to get any action, only to be asked the same questions again. Distinctly unhappy and would definitely not recommend use to anyone else. I'll also be advising Purple Bricks, to whom the company is associate, of our dissatisfaction with the service.

DO NOT use this firm if you are looking for a prompt, efficient and timely service. The conveyancer is likely to push you to their paralegal who has no clue most of the time and are unable to provide any updates. Infact, I am doing most of their work for them. It is impossible to communicate with the conveyancer. Makes me furious and seriously wonder what I am paying this firm of solicitors for and why! I would like to believe not all their conveyancers are this nonchalant. However, I will be forced to take legal action should this sale and purchase fall through due to sheer lack of communication and providing simple updates by the conveyancer. Cheaper does not necessarily mean better or more efficient. BPL proves this all the way! I seriously wish I had stuck with my original law firm for the transaction. Absolutely useless!

As an executor dealing with my mothers estate, BPL has taken five months to complete the sale on a property. It should not take that long too deal with a straight forward transaction with no chain involved and a cash purchase. They would still be waiting to receive the property management pack if I hadn't chased them about it, that itself delayed us over a month! Their freepost service didnt work so I had to send everything by recorded delivery. Unbelievably painful poor inexperienced service, they delivered so little, 5 months in a world of modern technology! This industry is operating in the dark ages

The solicitor and her team were very supportive throughout the whole conveyancing process. They were polite and courteous and my questions were answered quickly. The fees were competitive.

I felt confident at all times during the sale process and was updated at each key event. Kirsty Rutland and her team were helpful, courteous, obliging, cooperative and pleasant throughout the process. I was so impressed I recommended my son use them for the sale of his property.

Pulling my hair out. No one seems capable of taking the final step and exchanging contracts. No one answers their phones and email replies very slow in coming. Having to make it clear that the chain is on the verge of collapsing but no one seems to care. I could recommend this firm to no one.

Tom, Elodie and the rest of the team at BPL Solicitors were brilliant. We were first time sellers. Moving to completion was a frustratingly slow due to delay tactics from the other parties. BPL were always on hand to answer questions and calm nerves. They did well to get the sale over the line.

I was overall very pleased with the service of bpl , as my case was quite difficult, having bought my property as an investment and I didn't have any paperwork as such. I was also living in Malaysia at the time of the sale and Ben Hammond and his team had to find out everything themselves. There were a couple of times they asked for information from me that I didn't have and they sorted it out and other times I got the info from an internet search , which I felt the Conveyancing team could have done themselves, but I have to say, they completed in a very short timescale , without too many problems. I will defiantly use them for my next purchase and their fees were excellent.i didn't feel as though I had been ripped off by them , as youmdo with most solicitors. Thank you bpl.

We have doen 5 or 6 deals with bpl. They are always fast, usually noticeably faster than the other side, a step ahead of me and that is hard, reasonably prices and good communicators. I have now done 6 deals with them and will use them yet again.

Bill is not answering emails or providing updates along the way. We only managed to get through his assistant which gave us vague answers. We have been told that we will have all searches sent a week ago and nothing has happened since. We never know where we stand in the process and always have to chase them to get any information at all. Overall, very bad communication and lack of care for the customer .

Way too slow to deal with paperwork and incoming information. This should be a very straight forward sale - empty house, no chain, standard construction, relatively few issues - but it's being turned into a marathon. We bought our current home just over a year ago and that did have complications, but it was completed in 8 weeks. As I have a relative who works in Land Registry I know that the problems don't lie there in terms of lack of speed. On the plus side emails are SOMETIMES dealt with quickly, but it really is 50-50. I've been ringing for nearly an hour today and it just goes through to an answerphone. I've no doubt as to the proficiency and capability of the staff involved at BP Law. I do, however, think it's massively under manned and that profits are being placed above customer confidence and satisfaction.
