My IRA Annuity was invested by my Bank to Brighthouse Financial, Inc., 11225 North Community House Road, Charlotte, NC. 28277. On December 19, 2022 (Monday) I completed paperwork to withdraw then rollover the remaining amount into a new IRA Investment Annuity. The withdrawal form that I completed, specifically stated that the withdrawal was to be Direct Deposited into my Bank Checking Account. Today is December 28, 2022 (Friday) as of today I do not have my funds.. On 12.23.22 I made a decision to directly contact Brighthouse Financial, Inc. Directly. Called 1.888.243.1932 I was informed by Robin H. of the Escalation Team that a Check was Mailed out on December 22, 2022 from their Nashville, Tennessee office. Robin then informed me that my Bank Information has to be on file for 30 Days before withdrawal request. Absolutely nowhere on the 6 Year Annuity Withdrawal Form, did it state such extremely important information. Then, on 12.27.22 called them back again & talked to someone named Carol, she informed me again than the check was mailed on December 22, 2022 from their Nashville, Tennessee office. I then asked for the check number.She then informed me that my bank information needed to be on file for several weeks, which is why a check was sent. Feel that something unethical is going on, two different stories from 2 different Brighthouse employees. I personally feel that Brighthouse Financial, Inc. is guilty of Gross Negligence in regard to this issue. Additionally, I feel that their actions deserve serious business consequences, as I firmly believe that their actions are extremely dishonest. My advice, beware of Brighthouse, invest somewhere with ethics, where clients are treated ethically.

I had to bend over backwards- frontwards and then back again to get my money and close my account. Their information is not kept up to date. And when I finally faxed all my requested forms, I had to call them again to find out, they were still holding the funds because they needed an updated signature. If I had to do it all over again, I would stay far way!

Brighthouse is running a scam. Cashed in my contract. They were short a month interest and charged me an early withdrawal fee, after telling me for several months what the maturity date was. (It was actually 3 years in the future) Correspondence from them is no more than a one liner not related to my questions. This is a purposeful act to allow Brighthouse to collect unjustified early withdrawal fees. Phone calls are useless, after waiting and transferring to several people with an IQ of less than 13, I received no help. STAY AWAY FROM BRIGHTHOUSE.

I have been making online payments for mylife insurance for years, then they put in a new system and i cant access anything. called customer service multiple times not helpful unless they pass you to other people. I am literally tryingt o give them money - what a ridiculous company.

I was very displeased at the service that I received while trying to close an estate that I am/was the executrix. They made it very difficult to communicate with someone that could assist in this delicate matter. The person that I spoke with told me that he "was the boss" and that he "had no supervisor". After many years of doing business with them, it was very unfortunate that they did not retain my family or my business.

Trying to get a very simple issue fixed is absolutely awful. Tickets opened and have taken weeks and while escalated nothing ever happens. Tickets, Chats, Calls... And no change, just "we will escalate to customer care". At this point not sure they even exist.

Customer service is AWFUL! I want to send a secure message and all I can find is phone numbers to call. My experience over the last year is they DON"T ANSWER THE PHONE! They sent me an email saying I had a tax document available. I went online to get it but it will not open and it will not download! I've had this account since it was MetLife. Brighthouse really sucks. It makes me feel like it's being run by a bunch of crooks.

lied to and given a run around on and annuity claim.3 months of lying about the progress and still no checks.this company need to be investigated.i still have not got an answer to why checks are not coming.

We mistakenly sent in money to a wrong policy we hold. After many long talks with their customer service, after many calls as such, we did not take our money back for 1+ months, NOT yet. There is no way to even talk to a supervisor, they do not really care what you think of them. Since you put your money in the wrong place firstly, it is your fault and you lost the money, $6000+!!!

This place is disgusting! My husband purchased a policy in April before we had our daughter to make sure if anything happened to him that we were taken care of. Well, in early September he died from a heart arrhythmia. It is now December and they have had paperwork and death certificate for over 2 months. Since he had the claim less then 2 years it is under contestability which I understand. But my husband was a healthy 31 year old with no known issues. Every time I call I speak to a new person who has no clue of what they are doing. Half the time notes are not put in. No one is ever on the same page. I was informed that the funds was being mailed to me within 24 days so I purchased a house to be closer to family since we have a 7 month old daughter and now I am going to lose my EDM money because that information was incorrect. I spoke to Hannah a supervisor and she said she will expedite everything and call me back on a specific date, well she didn't. I had to call. Then I found out that she cannot expedite anything and that it can take several months to get the insurance money. I was going to get a life insurance policy through them after everything was finalized but I am staying far away from this company. I'm grieving that my husband passed and now have to put up with this BS.

When I cashed in my Metlife now Brighthouse annuity, they refused to direct deposit or wire my $38,000 and sent a snail mail check that never arrived. After a month, they would only agree to repeat this incompetent, insecure and irresponsible process again. Meanwhile, I've been in arrears without that money and they have been irresponsive. Hours waiting for customer service, refusal to answer my questions, they are effectively stealing from me. Totally Unresponsive and Unprofessional. DO NOT USE THEM!!!

Bright house financial apparently received the lowest marks from JD Powers customer service survey. Our dealings with them show that this is not surprising. Although they have held our pension money for years, we have spent the last one month trying to get them to cut a check for our funds to roll over into an IRA. Although I do not suspect they are trying intentionally to delay the transfer I do suspect they are incompetent about tracking their monies since every time we call (which has been daily for the last two weeks) they have a different excuse about whether a check has been cut, lost in the mail or not yet cut. As of now we still do not have our money.This is about the worst possible situation with a large financial company.

My mom had a ILIT with Brighthouse, and passed this January. They paid the claim fairly promptly, but for less than the cash value shown on statements. My sister (who is estate's executor) has been trying to get an explanation for over 60 days, has spend numerous hours on hold, and been promised "a claims supervisor" will call her multiple times. Truly horrific "customer service"

The service is zero ... Brighthouse bought my contract from Met Life. Up to 2 hours on hold just to be cut off. If you do option for a call back they will never call you back ... The option is a lie. Finally I just cashed out the annuity and my bank never got the $24,000 check they claim the mailed.

I have just sent this to them For weeks now I have been asking you to collect this watch in the meantime I am still paying for it because if I don’t I will get a black mark against me I am now sick of paying for it and you now owe me weeks of money back and the watch is sat on the side waiting for collection please can you refund me the weeks of money and collect it or I will be seaking legal action
