“Terrible support!
I have been out of my medication for a week because my prescription wasn't sent to the pharmacy in my profile. I then had to evacuate Florida, and when contacting Brightside, I was told to transfer scrip inside the app (no such feature that I see) or call the pharmacy myself.
I don't know if you've tried to transfer prescriptions from state to state, but it's not straight forward, and I've had to call multiple pharmacies myself. Still no medication.
When I brought this up to support they were sorry to see I wanted to cancel, but did nothing to help me fix the situation. It's either use a feature they don't even have or do it yourself.
It could have easily been sorted out if the provider had resent the prescription, but after asking them to do that or support me, I'm one week off of Paroxetine COLD TURKEY. If you know what that's like, then you know this is not a good service.
No medication and after using their check-in feature I said the side effects were much worse and I was tearing up or getting emotional over a silly reality show. Still nothing, and still no medication.”
“I’m a little upset bc I’m not getting any feedback from my ~provider~ and I just got charged $95 again … any way I can get a refund bc I don’t know if I’ll be continuing”
“I don’t care for the Psychology, but I do like my Psychiatrist. I feel Psychology is not the best over a video conference personally, and I don’t want to try another person. The Psychology feels like all I get out of it is by completing from the virtual lessons and don’t get any real help during the video chat. The medical records don’t even show some of the things the Psychologist said that are pretty crucial in my opinion. It’s not worth letting Brightside charge $475 per appointment to my insurance company. I also kind of don’t feel a 15 minute appointment for Psychiatrist shouldn’t be paid that same amount either but she’s helping me better than I thought actually. I’m just thankful my insurance covers everything, otherwise I wouldn’t use Brightside. Truthfully I wouldn’t even recommend this company to anyone who’s got serious mental illness(es). It seems like you can only help the minor problematic patients. And don’t even get me started on your customer service. They might be friendly but they lied over speakerphone to me and my primary care physician and then tried to resist giving me my medical records, even after doing the ROI form and requesting full psychology notes. You guys are poor at best.”
“I was told there would be no charge. I understand you can’t control my insurance company and their rules But I should have been told by Brightside that this was an estimate as opposed to false advertisement and misleading me to rack up charges then tell me it was a guess and it was not accurate to say there was a zero co pay.
As these photos show your company states that they “ENSURES YPU GET CARE BEYOND WHAT INSURANCE PAYS…” No where does it say this could change or may not be accurate. Very wrong and bad business”
“Response time from “help and support” has been disappointing. My therapist did not unlock any of my therapy lessons and missed 2 of our appointments. Yet I missed a few sessions and was charged $70 late fee. My last session(lasted 20 mins) I requested a letter from my therapist to extend my LOA; I finally received it after 2 weeks. I had to call, email, message those 2 weeks for follow up. When I reached out to help and support, I didn’t receive any response until I requested that my therapist be changed.”
“My therapist is great, the billing transperancy is not. You should be upfront and show me the cost before and after insurance and then I should be able to see what I'm being charged for before you rob my credit card. I'm here for depression and anxiety but then you create a process that causes anxiety.”
“The website is very misleading regarding the extent of services your staff can perform. They are not full service psychiatrists as they cannot prescribe controlled medications like ambien or clonazapam.
The app doesn’t work for making appointments.
The app says “review this new medication prescribed” but clicking into takes me to a menu that has nothing to do with the medication.”
