Seller did not fulfill shipment promise and did not ship. Buyee just continued to ask me to wait for seller's response and when he /she can ship. I waited for about 2 months and still waiting. Asked for refund but Buyee just refused. They basically protect sellers. Poor customer service, They either do not response on time or chose not to reply. When a reply came it does not answer your query then you have to ask and wait again.”
“Made some purchases from Mercari and Yahoo using Buyee. The website is easy to use. However their customer service is lousy sometimes as they are not able to accede to customer's requests. They should be more flexible. If only they are able to request seller to combine items when purchasing from Mercari, i don't have to pay for service fee and payment fee for each item. Their service fee and payment fee are very expensive. Buyee should lower the fees.”

“I've come to rely upon Buyee when trying to purchase hard-to-find items from anime series that are not current. Being able to buy from a wide range of websites, and be able to add them with the "Add to Cart" function from the Buyee Chrome extension makes things super convenient.
I think that at times it can be hard to understand which fees will end up actually apply - they obviously give you many warnings about possible fees (domestic shipping, purchase fees, etc.), but I sometimes feel I won't really know how much something is going to cost me until I actually have already purchased it. The fees can be a tad steep - they really add up - but honestly for the service you are getting they make sense.

“Buyee has become a prime place for me to purchase those hard-to-find items direct from Japan. It can be really hard to find things from a favorite anime series unless its the current season, but being able to shop at various sites, including Yahoo Auctions, Mercari, Melonbooks, etc. makes that task much easier - especially when I use the app extension that lets me add to my cart directly from the store website.
That having been said, I think the purchasing fees are a tad steep, but honestly they are probably fair for the work being put in to purchase things. I was buying a number of small items that ended up being split across multiple places, so those fees could really add up. Also, I appreciate being able to select either "purchase all" or "cancel order" if any of the items were not available, but there is no in-between option. What happened with me is 3 of 6 items ended up being in stock (despite what the store listed), so I basically had to go ahead and pay to get the few items that were available. It's not always clear what the fees are going to be once everything is said and done.”

The 1,000yen consolidated package works great if I buy a lot of different items from various sellers. I see some people say it costs a lot, but I have used another competitor service & even though they didn’t charge for package consolidation, their service fees were much higher. I don’t need to receive my items fast so I always choose small package delivery (if possible) and I do receive it within the time frame stated. Overall, Buyee is the best option for me.”
“I am a collector and especially like all the cute and rare items only found in Japan! Recently there was a Card Captor Sakura Kuji that was exclusively sold in Japan only. I was able to look up the item on Yahoo Auctions and snipe bid and win the item I wanted using Buyee. The best part is it is hassle free for me, I just need for it to arrive at the warehouse and ship, it’s that easy. I had the option of EMS, DHL, Airmail, Surface mail so I shipped it using airmail. I like that there is mutiple Shipping options for me. Also I was a little worried during Covid 19 that services will be severely interrupted but to my surprise it has been quite smooth! This item shipping out on May 15 and was delivered to me on June 10. Things usually ship out of japan the very next day I make payment! Very reliable service! Highly recommended.”
“Placing your order is pretty easy. But that's the only thing that is. Getting the actual item or a customer support agent to help you is another story. Ordering a Deathscythe gunpla kit from Buyee Mercari. It was a terrible experience.
I was given a promotional coupon for $50 in international shipping. Great deal right? At least it should have been. The seller hasn't sent the item to Buyee. I tried contacting Buyee to find out what's going one and was told the seller isn't responding. The coupon expires on the 15th and I have nothing to use it on. I tried asking for an extension and the person I talked to said they would email another dapartment and get back to me in my email that day. They never did. Next day tried to get more info. Spent 3 hours in the only chat before getting someone and they ended the chat before I could asked my question. Tried again and after 7 hours I couldn't get anyone.
Currently my money is sitting in limbo and Buyee isn't doing a thing to help.”

“I use Buyee to purchase things off of Mercari! I've always received items in great shape and very quickly.
My only complaint is when you go to consolidate a package they charge 1,000 yen for it and that does not include packing it beyond its original packaging (you have to pay even more for that). I wish it would only cost money to repackage it, not to combine and ship the items as is because it just shows up in this thin bag packaging. Other services i've used haven't charged to consolidate and they actually pack it into an actual box over a thin material sleeve to send it on. That's the only downside I can think of though!”
