“the seller sent me a defective watch which he did not indicate in the listing. he said that the watch is working properly.but when it came to me its not working. no batteries even. and i contacted buyee for that to at least contact the seller or investigate for a refund.but buyee told me they cannot do anything about it.”
“Do NOT use Buyee service. You will regret it…
Used Buyee service to purchase a $1,800 USD Hi Fi amplifier (Denon PMA 2500) off the Yahoo Japan website. It was for a brand new item (Auction Ref ID: r379264025). Once the product arrived at Buyee’s warehouse, I requested for a paid photo verification and this process alone took 3 days and they send me about 4 photos of the product and the contents inside the retail box. 3 days is frankly a little slow. The product was delivered safely and the outer box checked out to be in a great condition. It was a double box with very well paddings, thanks to the Yahoo auction seller. However, upon turning on the product, I noticed a major issue. The source selection dial (to change to CD / phono / Aux / etc…) does NOT work. Luckily I could change the source via the included remote controller. I sent an email to Buyee and they asked for some photos proof describing the issue. After 24 hrs, they said there is nothing they can do to help me. I said it is a brand new item and at lease you guys could help me to discuss the issue with the Yahoo auction seller but they refused. I was hoping they could provide some kind of support or help me with warranty claim but the product is no longer in Japan, and Denon does not honor international warranty. So the only way to get help is to physically carry this 30kg box back to Japan and get warranty job done inside of Japan, which is almost impossible due to the fact I am in Taiwan and would not want take the risk of flying during the covid 19 outbreak. I could ship this into Japan but there is no way for me to receive the fixed / return shipment from the manufacturer. Not a good experience. As a result I have open up a chargeback or dispute with my credit card company…”
“After seeing some youtube videos on people reviewing this site as their go to place for Japanese Kpop goods i decided to give it a try and see what the sight is all about. After browsing around i found that the site was very easy to navigate and there were different actual sites where buyee provides there services for like Mercari and yahoo Japan Auction. So basically how Buyee works is that people like myself who lives over seas can buy merchandise from sellers in japan and Buyee works as a middle man for you. You buy what you like from the sites Buyee gives you access to and the buyer will ship everything to Buyee's warehouse where your items are held for 30 days, this is in order for you to keep buying more things you are looking for. Once you are ready for shipping you can combine all the items that you have purchased that is in storage at their warehouse and they will take care of packing and shipping it to you. Ive only purchased a few items so far but I must say everything has been very stress free on my end at least. Buyee has sent me emails updated me on every step of my item purchases, from the time I purchase to the time it arrives at the warehouse. I'm loving this site so far. I do know they tend to offer a lot of coupons to help with international fees or coupons for discount on their purchasing fee which I really appreciate. I did have to contact customer service through their email channel about a coupon issue but they replied back within a day which is something amazing and makes me trust this site a lot more. As a avid Kpop collector this site really is the site to go on for rare merchandise!”
“I love using Buyee. I have been a regular user for maybe three years now. I am able to buy Japan exclusive items using its platform, and the addition of the Mercari marketplace allows access to more sellers. I enjoy their free warehousing services, which I was able to take advantage of during the Covid outbreak. I was able to continue purchasing items online in spite of the many shipping restrictions worldwide, as I am able to stock them in the warehouse until the situation got better. Of course, buyee has some additional fees you can find burdensome, but you can take this out by using the various coupons they offer. There are even coupons that discount your international shipping rates. The key is to time your purchases whenever this coupons are available.”
“I have just started using Buyee to purchase kpop goods and I have had an amazing experience. Communication is the best out of a lot of sites I have used. If you ever have a problem, customer service is there to help you always. Promotions are a plus and take advantage of them when they are available. I recommend Buyee 100%.”
“My shopping experience with Buyee so far has been good. They were able to purchase my items that I requested on Mercari within a day. It’s pretty straightforward in terms of checkout, and can choose which plan you’d like to add if any. I was able to buy some rare anime merch that I couldn’t find elsewhere. With the Â¥5,000 off promotion on international shipping fee, I think it will help in reducing the cost. I have yet to see how much the shipping adds up to and how the items arrive. Overall, one thing I do enjoy is how we have the option to choose the difference Japanese sites we can shop from.”
“The customer support is really slow. The chat makes you wait for 2 and a half hours, and then when you do not reply within three minutes they close the chat. Payment is tricky, I have tried to connect paypal but have not succeeded.”
“I use Buyee very often to get things from Japan. There are many platforms for you to choose your items from. Many are rare items which are only available in Japan. The consolidation shipping helped me to save a lot of money when you choose sea shipment. If you choose EMS shipping, there isn't any saving. In fact, it may cause more money when you consolidate your items. But if you want to receive your items fast, then choose EMS. Sadly, you are unable to edit or declare the price of your items purchased through any platforms in Buyee. So be prepared to pay tax when your inbound shipment arrived. Best to check your country tax requirements in order to make the best deal out from shipping.”
“I can find a lot of things that I need in my collection for a really good price compared to here. The prices are like half the price and the execution of the product is easy to understand.”
“I use Buyee to purchase K-Pop goods through Mercari Japan. Buyee makes it incredibly easy look for items and purchase them. I first started using Buyee in 2018 and now a lot more frequently in 2020. They are always having promotions for waiving service fees or discounts on international shipping, so look out for those as well! Overall Buyee is incredibly easy to use and a great proxy service. I definitely recommend using Buyee. If there are problems that arise, their customer support staff is AMAZING. Everyone I've talked to has been quick to answer, polite, professional, and genuinely nice people.”
“Buyee is an excellent platform for buying any items in Japan. I have tried those buying services provided by other companies, but honestly, I rate Buyee be the best. I will keep on using Buyee. Highly recommended!”
“I bought three identical items on this site. Each of them cost about 12 dollars.
To each item, the seller added three types of different fees to the value of the goods.
Buyee Service Fee: 300yen
Payment Fee: 200yen
Plan fees: 500yen
The total amount of the fee is about 10 dollars.
Before buying, the seller did not indicate the cost of shipping the goods. This value could be found only after purchase. Later I found out that the shipping of each product of three items costs about $ 17-19.
The purchasing a product for $ 12.64 ultimately brought me to a total cost of $ 40. I found it very expensive and asked the seller to cancel the goods.
The seller replied that the item is yet in the warehouse and ready for shipping that is why cancellation according to their rules is not possible.
Then I asked the seller to unite all three items in one package and send it to me. The seller replied that in order to do this I must log in to my account and apply for shipping in one parcel. I logged into my account and saw that before I get information about the cost of merging parcel I have to pay a fee of 1000 yen (about 10 USD). Then I sent an email to the seller. In the email, I explained that I would like to know how expensive merging parcel is before I pay the fee of 1000 yen. The seller refused to say me the cost of merging parcel and said again to apply for merging parcel and pay at first 1000 yen.
I logged back and in the options, I saw an action called "dispose". I clicked on "dispose" and information appeared that when you select this option, the three above fees(Buyee Service Fee,Payment Fee, Plan fees) are not refundable. From the context, I assumed that in choosing this option I will get back the cost of the goods, namely US $ 12.64.
However, the seller will not refund me any cent.”
