“I used carfax so many times, especially in buying a car from Craigslist. I almost bought a car from a guy who had not had the car very long and had a report from some other website that showed the car as being accident free. I told the gentleman that I would still run the carfax and lo and behold, the car had been in an accident! I showed the seller and he was surprised and I was saved from being the victim of buying a potential lemon!”

“I would never buy a used car without a Car fax. It has not only helped me to see what work has been done to the car and who has owned it but in several cases has noted probable tampering with the odometer or clouds on the title. It's quick and easy on line and you can download and print your report within minutes. And lastly, it gives you an adjustment to the price based on the Car fax report you have generated. It's amazing how many shops, garages and dealerships are now linked to Car fax. It really makes cheating the buyer nearly impossible. Thanks Car fax for a great service to the car buying public.”

“My overall experience was really very good. As I baught car fax report for unlimited plates, it helped me in a big way to check many cars in that duration. At the end I was able to find a good car for me with help of car fax just in time before my account got expired. Thanks to car fax.”

“I used CARFAX to become informed on 5 different Corollas offered by Driver's Mart. I lived 300 miles away, so I needed to inquire before I made the trip. Furthermore, these cars didn't stay on the lot very long. When I got my info together including CARFAX reports on each vehicle, I went and purchased the vehicle.”

“How about a sucess story. We wanted to make sure before driving a round trip of 1400 miles . The car fax matched the owners story of origin. As we discussed it he was able to fill in the gaps. It all matched. I picked up the car and it was and still is amazing. The carfax gave me confidence.”

“This Carfax is great I was purchasing the vehicle and I said before I purchase it lets me see the Carfax and came up with a rebuilt title it save me a whole Lotta money so before you buy a car what does the Fox say show me the Carfax”

“My family has to be careful about what we spend because one of our children is severely disabled. When we went to purchase our last vehicle, we used carfax to check everything out. We were able to see which vehicle had dealer service records, accurate mileage, history of the vehicle and basically all of the information we needed to make an informed decision. Carfax removes the fear out of buying a used car.”

“would not buy a used car without a car fax, you would not believe how much stuff is covered up, like odometer roll backs, wrecked and salvaged vehicles and so much more, the car fax can not tell everything about a car but it is a great place to start. I like it . Frank allen”

“I was interested in buying a car that a guy was trying to sell on AutoTrader. I drove out about 30 minutes to see the car and they car was perfect. The body of the car was in perfect condition and it drove smoothly. I asked the owner was the car a clean title, he told me yes. I went home and thought twice about the checking the CarFax on this wonderful car. I said to myself "what the heck" and ordered a car history report. The car was a LEMON. Salvaged title. CarFax saved my life and the life of my children. Who knows what could have happened to us in that car. Thanks CarFax!”

“CARFAX has always been a valuable tool for both the used car buyer and the used car dealers. As a two-time user of CARFAX, I was more impressed with the value I received this time around. The same price I remember paying for 5 CARFAX reports several years ago now have me the 5 reports from a VIN and unlimited from a license plate. This helped me broader my search for my most recent used car purchase. It couldn't have gone better. Thanks CARFAX!”

“CarFax saved us from buying a car that came with a so-called "clean" title. The seller told us that the car's airbags had never deployed and it had not been "totaled" in an accident. He gave us another company's car history report that was incomplete ( he referred to it as a CarFox!) At the last minute we decided to do a CarFax and so glad we did! The car had been in a bad accident, head -on into a utility pole, airbags deployed and it was totaled and sold for salvage/junk. It was then transferred to two other states and somehow came out with a "clean" title. Thanks CarFax!”

“CARFAX worked very well for us. We chose to purchase 5 reports, just in case we needed them. So happy that we did. As it turned out, the first 4 we either decided not to pursue the automobile based on the facts received, or the vehicle was sold by the time we completed our report. The last one worked like a charm. We purchased it after viewing the CARFAX and determining the 1995 vehicle with 113,000 was the actual miles. Based on this information, we took the vehicle out to our mechanic check the car out. It needed a bit of work. The dealer reduced the price for us and we proceeded to have our mechanic fix it. Upon completion it cost just a couple of hundred dollars more than we would have paid before checking it out fully. Thank you for the service you have provided CARFAX. In the future we will use you again, however, we will take the unlimited package...just in case.”

“This summer I purchased a cycle in Minnesota that was represented as accident free with an unbranded title. I checked VinCheck Pro that confirmed this fact. About a week later I received my transfer documents and went to my Wisconsin Division of Motor Vehicle office to obtain my title. When they ran the VIN, the cycle came back salvaged! I then ran a CarFax which confirmed the cycle had been involved in a serious accident in another state a year before. Because I bought the cycle from an auto dealer and they had an obligation under Minnesota law to disclose, I was able to get my money back. Had I purchased it from a private party, I would have been stuck with a salvaged cycle. The moral of the story is to always check with CarFax before buying a vehicle and accept no substitute! You get what you pay for. M”

“I was a little nervous buying a car from a private seller but the carfax report changed that. I was very pleased to see the previous owner never missed any of his scheduled maintenance. I ended up getting a great car at a great price. It's definitely worth the cost.”

“Using a car fax report helped me determine who which dealer was lying and which were not. I almost bought a car until I noticed some unusual lines on the head lights and a little rust on the seat rails which I figured since it was the east coast was from humidity. Come to find out through a car fax it was in hurricane sandy. I found the right car and am pleased with it and since I bought a package deal and had a couple reports to spare I did a car fax on my vehicle and found that the DMV reported the wrong information on my vehicle so I can be prepared if I should ever choose to sell that vehicle.”
