“While looking at a 2002 Subaru in Oregon, we asked the used car dealer if he had the CarFax information on the car. He had some kind of alternate car reporting document that he showed us that said the car had been properly serviced and that it had no problems. The CarFax report (along with a mechanic we hired to inspect the car) both verified that the car had spent most of its life as a fleet vehicle in the North East part of the United States and had limited service during its life. Parts of the car were so corroded and in bad shape, something we would never have learned if we had not gone the extra mile and checked the car out thoroughly. We dodged a bullet thanks to CarFax.”

“I love carfax.com it helped me buy a beautiful 2010 cheve equinox. I loved being able to customize my search looking for no accidents, only 1 owner, AWD, and low miles SUV, for the price I wanted to pay. I loved seeing the details from the previous owner about car maintenance and mileage. It made me feel very confident when I purchased my car, I knew what I was getting.”

“Living in a remote mountain area, searching on-line was truly my only option outside of burning a lot of fuel driving hundreds of miles to find the vehicle I wanted -- a Cadillac SRX. CARFAX is the clear winner on all counts. The reviews of dealers by previous customers helped me to avoid potential problems with shady offers as well as dealers that had started out very good and then gone to the Dark Side. The other service did not offer near as much data. The only snag was learning to NOT put too many specifics in the search engine for the car I sought in order to get it to show me everything in the 200 mile range I chose, but other than that, the whole experience was wonderful and saved me a lot of haggling stress. The road maps offered were detailed as well, making finding my dealer at 170 miles away very easy. There were more than a dozen clear photos of my beauty taken from all angles, interior and exterior. The best part was finally meeting my new vehicle and seeing how much better she was in person! When time comes to again seek a vehicle, I will definitely use CARFAX and nothing else! I also appreciate the free service for keeping track of my new car's maintenance as it occurs. Thank you!”

“I was going to buy a 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution MR, because it had low mileage and the price for the car was a steal. Good thing I ran a CarFax report, the car was in a wall collision impact, and title was Salvaged. I highly recommend running a CarFax report before buying any car, even if it seems too good to be true. Thank you, CAR FOX!”

“Found a car an expensive car over the internet with a very cheap price tag. Was told no accident history by the owner. Made a cashier check but decided to run carfax before final purchase. I'm very glad I did since vehicle has selvage history. WELL WORTH TO RUN A CF report before buying a used car. Lesson learned!!!”

“One used car seller edited his carfax, & he write down 1 owner car in place of 3 owner car & also he write down personal use vehicle in place of rental, taxi. Another seller told me his car is in excellent condition but later by carfax I get to know the car is salvage. Although I spend money but carfax save me a lot.”

“I purchased my vehicle first, and then noticed some over spray which indicated a possible accident. I then immediately purchased a car fax and discovered it was in fact in an accident, however there was only cosmetic damage and nothing structural. I will continue to utilize car fax going forward PRIOR to purchasing my next vehicle.”

“Well, my wife and I were looking for an economical car and we wanted to buy from a private seller. Buying from a private seller can be risky sometimes due to the fact that you don't know whether or not the original owner took good care of their car. With CarFox, we were able to make sure the miles were correct and that it had not been any wrecks.”

“carfax did,nt have he right information on the van I purchased the van was in an accident carfax did,nt have that report I paid 11500 for this o find out later that there was 5000 damage done on the van”

“Looking for a used car can be really scary, but not with a report from CarFax. CarFax compiles all available data to give a detailed history, including any type of service, the mileage history, and any accident reported to insurance or police. Sadly, we found most sellers to be dishonest, and were saved from buying several cars we had good feelings about. We did ultimately buy a car based on the CarFax report. The price was reasonable, and although the car was far from perfect, we knew the owner was honest based on the CarFax report. I highly recommend purchasing a CarFax report before purchasing any used vehicle. It will lead you to good deals and allow you to feel confident in your purchase.”

“I was try to buy a toyota camry 2009 . The seller told me that the car just have 80 k millage . But after i checked that on carfax.com i saw that the actual millage was 208k !!!! Thank you so much for helping us carfax.com”

“I have been searching for used cars for about two years. I found that the major car sites listed numerous vehicles but there was no way to determine the repair history or negatives about a car with out visiting the vehicle. CARFAX helped reduce the inventory to look at and gave very useful information about the cars operating history. CARFAX reduced my cost of search dramatically and I did buy a car using the new CARFAX used car site and the reports. Thank you CARFAX”

“I was interested in a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee, with relatively few miles. CarFax informed me that it had three previous owners, but I could tell that the first was a few months as a dealers car, then there was a very long ownership by one person and a short time third owner. There was a report of an accident but I found that it was a minor side accident in which someone backed into the car in a lot. The reparir job was escellent with no evidnece showing. So with the history well established I felt comfortable with buying the car and am happy with that decision.”
