My experience in the store was great, staff were very nice and extremely helpful when needing assistance. Robert who dealt with us during my visit was helpful in explaining and helping me through the purchase of my car.

Following horrendous difficulties in trying to communicate with the store by telephone our initial impression on arrival was of a bright welcoming space. All the staff from reception onwards were efficient and friendly. Your salesman Nick Healy was a pleasure to deal with and a credit to your company not putting the usual sales pressure on us, but instead taking the trouble to find out exactly what we were looking for in a car and then helping us to find it. Overall an excellent experience, definitely service with a smile and we would certainly recommend both the salesman and the store to others looking to buy cars in the future. We'll be back.

Very friendly customer service however many of the after sales products were pushed on me and it felt like a rushed sale. There were a couple of minor issues on the car that the store had agreed to fix prior to pickup however these issues were not looked at and I have now had to book the car back in to get it looked at. Overall a rushed experience feeling the sale of the car was all that mattered.

Handover service of my car to get my new car was very poor.I waited an hour & a half & was told 3 times that my car would be ready in 5 mins.Eventually left the showroom & went home very disappointed.Your salesman Craig however was excellent.From selling me my new car & explaining everything & also having to get my car delivered to my house which was great.He also kept me up to date by phone with what was happening as I had no update or received my cash back ,vouchers or 2nd car key which I’m still waiting on.Received my cash & vouchers now though. If it wasn’t for Craig keeping me up to date & retuning my calls your customer service would not be great as I never heard from anyone else.

Overall not good unfortunately. This is the third car we’ve purchased from here but will be the last. We were given the wrong information about the gap insurance and warranty when purchasing the car, so cancelled these and did receive a full refund but still caused some inconvenience after emailing and calling Peter Vardy several times to try to do this with no luck, before finally getting through to someone who knew how to cancel these. We were told the gap insurance was for the full term of the finance, which was false. The coverage of the warranty was also exaggerated after actually coming away and reading the full terms. When buying the car, I also pointed out that one of the alloy wheels was damaged and that this same wheel had a very cheap budget tyre installed, compared to the other 3 Michelin tyres on the car. The sales person told me that they could swap this tyre for a Michelin and also that the wheel would be refurbished. Neither of these were done. One of the other tyres was however replaced for another budget tyre. Meaning it now has 2 good tyres and 2 budget tyres fitted. Had to return to the dealership to also book the wheel for refurbishment, which is another inconvenience. We were told many times that this I would be done before collecting the car and it wasn’t. We were also told we would receive a £200 Miller and Carter meal voucher with the purchase, which we still haven’t received (after buying the car nearly a month ago now). We’ve also inquired about this several times but still not received anything. If you’re going to offer an incentive to buying a car then surely you need to follow through with this? The sales person Krista was very friendly and as helpful as she could be, but I believe she is new and so didn’t have much knowledge about any of the cars or how the finance etc worked when asked any questions. This isn’t her fault, but I feel if she had more help from her colleagues and more training while she learns then it would provide both her and the customers with a much better experience. Another comment to make is about the lifeshine treatment we purchased. I was told it has been done and we did receive the aftercare kit which comes with it but having had this treatment applied to previous vehicles, it does not seem to be as good this time. I’ve got no way of proving whether it was actually applied to the car or how well it was done, but I know there was a rush to get a lot of cars out at the time we received our car (as the sales person said), so not sure if the treatment was rushed. It just does not seem to compare to the previous 2 cars I’ve had it on. Overall from these issues and the many times we’ve had to phone and send unanswered emails, I feel Peter Vardy has gone the same way as Arnold Clark in that they just rush cars out the door and once you’ve got the car you’re no longer important. For this reason we won’t be back.

Overall experience was good. Very attentive staff both pre and after sales. Found sales - Robert was both personable as well as knowledgeable to my questions. He is a credit to himself as well as your company. I would certainly recommend Peter Vardy to friends and family. Regards Robert Stephens

Experience was not as expected from a large national company, in fact it was a shambles and a disgrace. Initial call went well, I paid my deposit of £49, sales person was okay until he decided to increase the admin fee from £169 to £499 because I didn't take out your very expensive finance (he forgot this later in the conversation and reverted to the £169). I arrived in Glasgow (from Edinburgh) on Saturday 8th May as arranged to take delivery - the car wasn't ready and in fact there was no record that I was going to collect plus the handover person was on holiday. I drove home in my own car after which was a complete waste of the Saturday morning. The car was to be delivered to my home address later that week (which it was). I then wasted two hours of Saturday afternoon trying to get through to my car insurers to amend the policy back to what is was - another waste of time caused by your handover team. I checked your website and the car was still available for sale - someone had taken the reserved note off. On Monday 3rd May I received a call from your employee to advise me there was finance o/s on my Mokka - there wasn't and to cut a very long story short your handover team had carried out the HPI check on the wrong car! This then led me to having to call Arnold Clark, Stirling where I had bought the Mokka from and demand they explain why they sold me a car with o/s finance on it. When I asked if the search was done on the correct car your handover team said they had made a mistake! Finally your handover team tried to charge me £20 for fuel despite me getting a full tank - free. The only person from Peter Vardy who came out with any credit is Niall Murphy who took ownership and eventually resolved things and got the car delivered. I'd welcome your response but am not optimistic based on my experience so far. Martin. Delivery marked as not on time as it wasn't even available the first time I tried to collect.

Great service from salesperson, very friendly and approachable and answered all of my questions. One thing I would say though is I was booked in for a test drive at 6pm and wasn’t seen until 6.35pm due to issues with the original sales person I was to see. And then had to wait even longer for the car to be brought out front & fuel put in. I totally understand it’s busy but we booked a time for a reason and feel it was a bit disappointing having to wait so long. This was also mirrored when picking up the car it was delayed by an hour. Extremely happy with our car though, it was spotless when we got it and very quick turnaround between viewing and buying at least.

My overall opinion of Peter vardy was very poor. I bought through head office sales or at least thats what I was told. The attitude I received when I said I was taking a bank loan out instead of finance was shocking. After this the sales rep never returned any calls. I then was told my car was ready to be picked up at 1pm I was then left waiting in the showroom till 3 pm before anyone spoke to me and was told it will be 10 minutes. I drove out the showroom at 5.15pm. During the time in the showroom my brother saw a car he like but was put off by the service he mentioned this to the hand over team to there reply was its ok we have loads of stupid people who buy from us. I would give this whole experience a 0 of I could.
