Following the supply of the appendix information I had to call at least three times to get an answer about when the installation would be completed. Although we knew we needed another consumer unit we didn’t know it was to be installed outside of the main electrical box or indeed not adjacent to the internal main consumer unit. We were also not aware that an earthing rod was to be installed. The engineer firstly wanted to install this onto the surface of the drive which would have caused a trip hazard and we had to insist that this was not acceptable. The installation was eventually completed satisfactory.

My old charge point had stopped working for no apparent reason. Logged a call with BP Chargemaster and very quickly they had an engineer out. Having established that the unit could not be repaired on site, he fitted a new one. All done very quickly and efficiently and no cost to me as the unit was under warranty.

The initial fitting was fine about 3 weeks ago. System stopped working, it was reported twice and still no engineer has been tasked to fix it. Poor after sales.

Convenient to use, particularly with the car's time programme. The Chargemaster itself can be time set, but I found the app less convenient.

The fitter came on time and made an excellent job of installing our charger. Was very obliging even though the weather was fairly appalling.

Very pleased with the installation, it’s location, quality and earthing. Communications leading to the day from the front office team were excellent. Advice given by my installer about the cable ties and fuse were communicated by me to Western Power who raised an upgrade ticket. That work has been done and now I have 80A fuse and 22mm sq tails. Thank you, Excellent work.

The installation was efficient and neat. The mobile app when referenced seems to double the charge usage when it goes over two days ie midnight. The kwh rolls over in a lump sum and therefore double the amount.

Communication from the advisor was very poor. It was not made clear at the outset that if ones electric set up at home is relatively old that this would mean a new fuse board and the involvement of both the electricity supplier and Network Power to change simple cables that the electrician could do as each only allows their employees to touch their connections to the meters. My appointment was also cancelled as I had not yet paid when they had not yet asked for payment!

BP Chargemaster provided great assistance re installation. The only tip that I would give Scottish customers is to ensure that BP Chargemaster remember to also arrange the grant from the Energy Savings Trust.

BP Chargemaster were quick to respond to my order. I felt a survey was needed and that was dealt with quickly as well. As soon as I had completed the remedial work, Chargemaster came and fitted the charger in a timely and professional manner.

The installation of the charger was excellent and very professional, but the usability since via the scheduling on the app has been appalling - the worst app I have ever used. I have to set my alarm now to wake up in the middle of the night to access the EV tariff I have signed up to. Not a great advert for modern tech and the switch to EVs; it negates some of the benefits of home charging.
