The engineer was on time, very efficient and he installed the charging point precisely where required. Polar really need more fast public charging points to the South and West of London, probably nationally. Even with a 250 mile range, journeys need to be planned very carefully.

My local DNO advised that under the code of practice all installations should be subject to inspection to assess their suitability. Chargemaster did not do this. The Chargemaster installation engineer was unable to obtain a suitable earth reading and ran out of time. I was obliged to engage (at my expense) my own locally based specialist who quickly secured a satisfactory earth. Once informed of this Chargemaster were slow to follow up to complete the installation.

The initial contact was very poor : slow, with confusing documentation requests. Our house needed a survey, which was done well, but then nothing happened until I chased. Finally, the same fellow who did the survey came and fitted and did a good job. Very happy with the outcome. So, poor back office, good product and fitting is my conclusion.

From initial enquiry to the completed installation of my home charge system, the whole process was a breeze. I was kept well informed at all stages of the process by knowledgeable and helpful staff who even took care of handling my government EV homecharge scheme as well as my car’s manufacturer”s rebates - and I am delighted with how quickly the installation was carried out. Overall, an excellent service that I’m happy to recommend.

BP Chargemaster need to keep up to date with any changes to paperwork etc. e,g, change to Registration document.

The engineering side was excellently undertaken, with minimum fuss and a very neat install. However, the arrangements to get the visit organised was very clunky, you are too regimented in the need to have a vehicle in the pipeline before proceeding with the date of the install.

Simplicity itself. All paperwork and installation booking online. Able to amend installation appointment and when the day came everything went so smoothly I was able to go out for a couple of hours and get things done whilst the work went ahead. Very satisfied. David, Shropshire.

I am rating overall as poor, which summarises a very poor experience with the administration and a very good experience with the engineer who actually installed the charger. The administration side was appalling - I got pushed around numerous people, they lost forms I had already completed, couldn't tell me what the next steps were to enable me to book an installation date, didn't call back when I asked them to and didn't respond to emails. Extremely frustrating!
