In the end, I was very pleased with the installation and the service, largely through the intervention of an ‘ ambassador’ , but before that communication and personal service was very lacking. There is the potential of a good company here, but these issues need attention . The answer to the next questions are based on the pre- ambassador experience

I have very recently purchased a RenaultZoe ZE50 which came with a Chargemaster unit. I received an untethered unit which works really well. It has a locking key which restricts access to the charger. I do not use that as I doubt whether anyone is going to park on my drive for a few hours to steal my electricity, but I can see how this would be very useful in some locations. I do wonder whether I should have had a tethered unit installed as it would be less hassle, as I would not have to keep getting the cable out of the boot. Overall I am really pleased with the charging unit.

Company a nightmare to deal with phone selection all wrong. Get through after half an hour only to be transferred to another dept. Another half hour hanging on.

Mohammed was the electrician who installed the unit and he explained exactly what he was going to do. He was very polite and professional leaving the site very tidy. Well done.

It charges cars, but I think it needs a cover to keep the rain and sunshine off the plastic

Charge point AND the fuse board was positioned outside. Was told it is waterproof. It isn’t. Needs to be resited urgently.

The 1st more like fitter than engineer, fitted the wrong charge box, that kept flipping the trip out, so after a week of us chasing charge master , they sent another engineer who changed the box & customer unit for the correct one, which now workes fine.................shame we had to chase charge master so much as no one could answer my requests / even bother to phone me back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
