Customer service friendly but company inflexible in face of COVID - I lost the opportunity of full £500 discount as my instalment was booked for late March but not confirmed as it quickly followed lockdown. Charging unit satisfactory though had to reset within a few weeks due to red light warning - very easily rectified following company’s clear instructions.

Installer was excellent. Thorough and tidy. Really well done. However, iPhone app to control the unit is useless - can't even log in due to obvious bug that should never have escaped beta testing. Customer services are slow to respond.

Due to the virus it was a long wait for the charger to be installed but it works well. The application process for grant aid towards its purchase was far too complicated and needs to be made simpler. It would be useful if the amount of electricity used to charge the car could be identified so that the cost of the car was separated from the rest of the house. Some sort of smart meter as part of the charger would be helpful.

I have been attempting to get the app to work so that I can monitor my installation, but to no avail. I have emailed BP Chargemaster a couple of times seeking assistance, but no help has yet been forthcoming. As such I can only use the installation on a manual basis - which is fine, but not what was intended.

First I will comment that we are in COVID world, however besides the positive support from installation engineer (who replied to an email because I guessed he knew people in office might not), I have found BP Chargemaster customer support 100% awful. Send emails asking for help and no response. Long waiting times on phone to talk to people, many promises to solve and update me. Only the last customer service person did something that really solved the issues. Regarding the unit itself, so far it operates OK but not at kWh I expected. Although there is a lock on the unit to stop unauthorised use, there is no light to say its been locked. Would I use them again..... NO

Installation delayed when Hallmaster engineer called to fit and found inadequate power input and no double poll isolator. He told me Hallmaster should have completed a survey before instructing him. Installation delayed for a second time as my first Hallmaster point of contact had left the company and the photographs I had sent had not been retained. Installation finally went smoothly although I was left with a few heavy garden pots to replace. I needed help to do this. Neat job and sensibly sited . Items belo are not relevant

Was very happy the quality of installation, the installer was pleasant and put the charge point exactly where I wanted it. The only thing I wasn't particularly happy about was he didn't want to take any of his rubbish with him and basically bargained with me to put half in my wheelie bin. Extra waste is a problem for me as it only gets collected every 3 weeks by council.

Chargemaster was fitted but was alerted to unit not working to full capacity. It is taking many hours to charge vehicle at 16 amps. Have tried to make contact via email but had no response.

The process getting to instalaltion was very painful; the installation was very slick; the unit itself is very good; the App is one of the worst pieces of consumer-facing software I've ever had the misfortune to use.

The charger looks fine and was located right where we wanted it. The electrician who fitted it was great. Minimal fuss and no mess. Great job.
