Installation quick and tidy. Pity the app was produced by a bunch of amateurs. Even in an IPhone you have to type in login details Every time to access which is a pain when your email address is a long one. It seems to register the amount of time the car is plugged in rather than charging. I set the car up to charge on a cheaper tarrif overnight. The app is not able to account for dual tarring cost calculations.

Excellent installation- very well done as required quickly and cleanly. The cost of the work was very poorly communicated though. The cost quoted in the first instance was £439. The invoice sent was for £549 plus the cost of an RCB with no explanation for the increase. I paid to get the job done but when I asked for a breakdown I got conflicting replies. The original quote was not apparently updated to account for the reduced grant from March 1st even though it was given on 11th March. I was then told that BP were only passing on £50 of the £150 increase. I then enquired why my cost had increased by £100. I was told that the increase was really £100 and my dissatisfaction would be referred up but no reply has been forthcoming. I will continue to chase - but I shouldn’t have to!

The Covid19 outbreak caused my original plans to be scrapped, but as soon as BP could install, they were straight back on it. The team kept me informed to the best of their ability. The installer was professional, although I am not sure why the cabling was laid so low to the floor as it now cloggs up with dirt ?

Don't under estimate the amount of potential work required in advance of a home charge unit install. Yes, you will be guided through what is required, but you need to ensure that your home is ready. Your fuse boxes need to be correct, which may mean they need to be updated and you need to think ahead about how the cabling is going to work in terms of getting it from the fuse box to the actual charger. Plan ahead. Install was requested in Dec 19, installation happened in Jun 20. Customer Service was very slow and responses to communication took time - caveat with the fact that Covid hit this process, so benefit of the doubt to those involved, but I would have hoped that this would be a minimum 6 week process in reality. Once we managed to get to the installation it went extremely smoothly. The unit works very well and I have no problems, exactly what I would expect with the installation taking around 2.5hrs to complete. The downside is the app - totally useless, can't even get registered. Reading other reviews for it, it is a wonder that BP Chargemaster want their name associated with it. I would pull it until you can demonstrate that you're actually interested in your own app. Because at the moment it is clear that you are not. Get that working properly and scores and reviews may improve.

Probably due to lockdown, but I found there was a problem with coordination of your various departments. As an elderly user of the internet I had difficulty understanding the procedure I had to follow, but with the help of your Bellinda Bellingham I got there

The only comment I have to make is I think before installing the charger you have to send someone to do a survey.For me it was very difficult as it kept going back and fort.The engineer who installed the charger was extremely professional and knew his job very well.

The application process was long winded and BP where in a translation period of changing email addresses which caused some delays in the processing. However the installer James was awesome, only 2 and half hours for the installation- neat and tidy job!

Lockdown caused a 2 month hiatus in between ordering (and paying for) a chargemaster unit. When it was finally installed it was done very speedily and efficiently (5 out of 5 for this bit!) I have only used it twice since, and it appears to work exactly as advertised.

Contact from BP Chargemaster (even through the COVID-19 lockdown) was good, and appointments were made and kept. Installation was smooth and easy, and today we have plugged the car in for the first time. Our objective is to use solar power, which generates at a maximum of 3kWh - so I have set the charge rate to 2kWh max. I find the app poor - it really does not provide sufficient feedback and control over the rate of charge. The immediate charge option is simply 'Charge full speed now' - which I don't want. Rather I want to know kWh and be able to vary that. The schedule process includes a setting to limit the kWh max, but there is nothing to tell me what it is actually charging at! So good service, but poor app.

Delayed because of lockdown and pleased it has at last been installed. Only charged up once andeasy to use.
