I have been a loyal customer for many years, spending $200 - $300 a month. I'm done. I cancelled an autoship within the timeline. I received an affirmed cancellation notice via email. I called to confirm. They charged me anyway. When I saw it was Pending at my bank, and not shipped, I called. I was told by two different reps in two separate phone calls that if was cancelled and I would be refunded. Nothing. I called again, that rep said they would reverse the partial shipment that had gone out with FedEx, and cancel the other half that was still in the warehouse. Okay. I looked online, they charged me for dog food that was out of stock and not even in the shipment ($58). I called again. That rep said there were no notes of any conversation or cancellations. I deleted my payment from their website. I will use this shipment that no one cancelled to transition from American Journey, their store brand, to another and never order from Chewy again. They've gone from being great to deceptive thieves. I'm done. BTW - you can remove the payment forms and autoship but you can never delete your account. I will now need to contact my bank and have them issue a new debit card with a new number to prevent Chewy from once again going rogue. So disappointed! I raved about this company to everyone for many, many years. Greed, that's what destroys companies. I assume they think this stunt was worth $230, which caused the loss of more than $2k annually in my purchases. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because of what they used to be.

I reached out to Chewy to process a return for a harness, and I was impressed by their immediate response. Not only did they handle the return promptly, but they also generously suggested that I keep the harness and donate it to a dog in need. Additionally, I asked them to cancel my active autoship essentials, and they were understanding and efficient in fulfilling my request. I shared with them the heartbreaking news of my beloved boy's passing, who was only 3 years old. In response, they showed incredible kindness and empathy. To my surprise, when I opened my door, I found that they had sent me flowers, a gesture that touched my heart deeply. Although I am currently without a furry companion, I am certain that when I become a fur mom again, I will definitely turn to Chewy for their exceptional service and products. They have consistently exceeded my expectations in every aspect, and I truly appreciate their support during this difficult time.

Our cat passed away. Order had shipped. Contacted Chewy they refunded my money and told me to donate liter to local pet shelter. Most companies would not do this. Will keep using Chewy!

Thank you to JC with customer service. He quickly solved an issue with an authorization for Callie's dog food. I enjoyed chatting with him. Very nice guy! Her food is arriving today after speaking to him yesterday. Thank you again!

I have always been impressed with Chewys customer service but they really surprised me this time. I called to make a change to my order that had nothing to do with losing one of our dogs. The rep asked me how Thor was doing and I let her know we had to put him down due to cancer. A couple days later I received a dozen yellow roses! wow that is incredible. This is a wonderful organization.

I received an unexpected, wonderful surprise from chewy today. My beautiful dog, Peaches, has her profile on chewy with her photo. I received a small gift-wrapped painting of her!!! It's really beautiful and looks just like her!! I was blown away at such a heart-warming, thoughtful gesture!! I have always loved chewy. Deliveries are fast and easy. But they surpassed all my expectations in the best possible way. They have a customer for life!!♥️

My Chewy purchases have always been delivered quickly and without damage. After my dog was put down, at my request, Sharon, a customer service representative, per my request, canceled my prescription dog food auto-ship subscription without any hassles. A couple of days later I received a sweet, fresh cut, floral arrangement with a sympathy card from “Sharon and Chewy”. That’s what I call customer care and support!

I placed an order on Sunday and received my confirmation email. Later that day, I received a second email (which I didn’t see until days later) needing confirmation of my information. When I called them all they needed was to release my order. There was no actual confirmation needed. However, the representative explained that they do this to prevent fraud. Very frustrating business practice. It’s a $80 order. My order will now arrive later because of this.

We tried Chewy for our dog food. They are a great company. Sadly our dog passed. I called to cancel auto shipping. The girl on the phone was very compassionate. I told her I was donating the left over food. She said that was fine and then preceeded to give me a refund to. I could not believe it. Then we received beautiful bouquet of flowers. Never have I been treated this good by another company. Thank you Chewy for your kind gesture and compasion.

I just had to put my dog down after 13 years and to my surprise received a dozen yellow roses from Chewy on my doorstep today. I bought my dog's insulin from them. The jesture was so sweet and much needed in the sad time. I fould their customer service was awesome! Thank-you Chewy!

Chelsea, the CSR, went the distance. I was short on my purchase amount to receive the $30 e-coupon. I called for expiration date on coupon. My SS funds wouldn't arrive in time. We had a pleasant conversation, about me with 2 cats plus caring for my daughters 2 cats during her crisis, and laughing how I often missed out on good deals in general (in supermarket also etc.). Chewy sent me my package immediately WITH the e-coupon. I cried. It felt like I won the lottery. I'm not one to win things.. What she didn't know was how bad my year has been. My Mom passed, then my Son on Easter. I've had surgeries and procedures. I have become isolated with my grief. This month my vacuum broke, my heater and my fridge. And more negativity I won't go into. I sit in a chair all day. It is the cats that make me get out of bed. That Chewy delivery broke something in the air. The next day I fixed my vacuum myself and for a couple days deep cleaned my LR and kitchen. I feel like I lost 1000 lbs. of darkness. She didn't know that her actions would affect me this much. I guess I just needed 1 single nice thing to happen to me. This won't solve all my problems, but it was like an air hug and put me ahead a little with their food as I've been just getting by. Thank you Chelsea. Thank you Chewy. And anyone reading this, when you go out of your way to smile or chit chat or be kind to someone, it might be the only good that has come their way in a long time...

In a world where I’m convinced customer service is DEAD, Chewy renews my faith in the world. Very pleasant people on the phone. I needed to switch up my auto-ship orders so they didn’t come staggered anymore. Super accommodating, no hassle, easy transaction. She even asked how I was feeling and if I was having a nice day. Thank you. It’s really refreshing. It only took a few minutes to fix things. I love service with a smile. It used to be the norm. 🤷‍♀️

We had a bad experience. It has taken two weeks and 7 phone calls between the vet and chewy only to get the same message, it will be there in 1-3 days. It's been two weeks! Our family pet really needs this Medicine daily to save his life and I'm disappointed that they couldn't get their act together to make this crucial decision to get the Medicine to us when they said it was coming in the first place. We will be using a different pet pharmacy from now on.

I am so pleased with the compassionate response from Tammy. I had to put my dog down and asked to cancel my autoship and refund the last prescription order I received. They not only did that, but sent flowers with condolences to me. This is so above and beyond, and thoughtful, will always be remembered, and I will share this story with many people. So refreshing for amazing customer service! Thank you!

I cancelled my Chewy account after short term business dealings because FedX wouldn't deliver directly to my front door. They left it wide open on the ground in front of my garage. I guess FedX hasn't heard of package stealing.On the first WRONG delivery, I called Chewy to lodge a complaint. They said they noted it on my account and there shouldn't be any more problems. The last delivery (two was ago) STILL at the front of my garage in the pouring rain (box was soaked, hard to handle a wet 30 lbs). SO, PROBLEM SOLVED.

I love Chewy. Their prices are great, always quick shipping and if you do have a problem you can talk to a real person. I wouldn’t shop with any other company for all my pet needs.

Today, January 25, 2024 I had the displeasure of speaking to Sarah, one of their pharmacist. Sarah was by far one of the most unprofessional, unpleasant, and condescending people I have ever spoken with. She refused to apologize for my autoship being removed and blamed me for their mistake. She spoke to me in such a mean and belittling manner I requested to speak to someone else. Susan, Customer Service Representative was extremely unfriendly and rude. She is definitely in the wrong field. Kaitlin, Pharmacist Lead was my third transfer. She was incredibly friendly, kind, and helpful. Kaitlin apologized for the oversight and went above and beyond to assist me. She was exceptional and extended amazing customer service!
