Dog food never showed up even 5 days after delivery date ???!!! AND CHEWY DOESNT CARE ?!

Our beloved 13 year old white Schnauzer, Gypsy, died on Wed morning. After taking care of her arrangements, we realized that we had ordered her dietary food two days before. We called customer service and they were so compassionate and warm, what a pleasant surprise! They tried to pull back the order, and credited us for the food, and said if the order was delivered to donate it to a shelter. Will do! And we received flowers with a heartfelt note that has blown us away. We will continue to order from Chewy for our 10 year old brown Schnauzer, Max. This is awesome service!

Placed an order with Chewy on 12/6 at roughly 6AM. The order was over the $49 to ensure a free 1-3 Day Delivery. Was sent an email stating that "Your order is on the way! ARRIVES BY Tue, Dec 7" Faster than I expected and was thrilled, Chewy regularly sent my orders the next day in the past. Tuesday came and went, and received my last email from Chewy about this order. "Delivery update: Your package will arrive by ‌Wed, Dec 8‌." Well Wednesday came and went. Nothing, that was the last communication from Chewy. Started looking at the tracking # and saw that both Wednesday and Thursday FedEx claimed that the package was on the Vehicle for Delivery. But nothing. Thursday night I contact Chewy customer service. Woman was pleasant and couldn't explain why the delivery was late but stated that Friday was the 3rd day for shipping. Which confused me, since 1-3 delivery I would assume if I ordered on Monday at 6am, Tuesday Day 1 - Wednesday Day 2 and Thursday would be Day 3. Either way she partially refunded my order and ASSURED me that if I did not receive my items by Friday they would re-ship my entire order at no cost to me. Friday, no package and at least FedEx didn't state they even tried to deliver. Contacted Customer Service again, since I did not receive my order and was told the night before that if I did not receive it, I would have a new order sent out. That's when I spoke to Andrew H. Well Andrew H, he didn't think anything was wrong. It's the Holidays, your package will get delivered at some point, no need to worry. Flat refusal to honor the package being resent as was promised the night before. Stating that the bar code was being scanned at FedEx so they had the package, but were simply not delivering it. I just want my dog food delivered. Like many on here I am not a rich person who can order $50 of dog food on chewy then go out and by another $50 more because my package might still be delivered at some point.

Buyer beware when making purchases on Chewy. I found out for the first time today that Chewy puts a full order hold on your debit/credit card and then charges you the actual amount once the product has shipped and places another hold. So, my $250 item put a hold on my bank account in the amount of $500 and it takes a few days for the hold to be released. So, unless you are prepared to be double charged for a few days - buyer beware - especially on large orders!

I liked Chewy until today. I ordered a bag of Stella and Chewy’s freeze dried rabbit for my cat and it arrived completely opened with a note attached that says “open bag.” Why would they send raw cat food that has been opened?? I’m also in a fix now because my IBD kitty is out of the only food he can tolerate. I’m so disappointed in this company.

If I could I would give this company zero stars. I purchased a flea medication for my cat because I read the reviews on their site and they all seemed really good, plus it’s all over social media & such so I figured they were a trustworthy company. The medication they sold me killed my cat, and after going to other websites I realized that this product was killing other peoples animals as well. There wasn’t a single review on chewys website about this. I’ve tried to post multiple reviews warning other pet owners about the potential danger that this medication has and chewy refuses to post them. They’re very clearly filtering comments to help sell their products better. I can now see why all their products carry such high reviews. If you write a bad one they just choose not to post it. They should be disgusting and ashamed of themselves for not letting people honestly know what buyers think of the products they sell. I will never buy anything from them again, and I will tell every pet owner I know of my experience and recommend any other company over this trash one.

I did a review on some fountain pumps that I bought. The pumps didn’t fit. The next day chewy sent me a refund!! I didn’t ask for a refund, a chewy customer service rep read it and responded! Thank you chewy!!!

We have been ordering from Chewy for the last 2.5 years and have had no issues and customer service is wonderful. We just had to put our beloved dog down and forgot to stop a shipment of food/treats. We contacted Chewy about the situation. They refunded us and told us to donate the food/treats, which we did and then they also sent us flowers with a heartfelt message. My husband and I will will continue to order from Chewy when we get our next dog and will tell our friends to order from Chewy also.

Let me tell you I will definitely be a lifetime committed customer to chewy.com customer service is absolutely 💯 the greatest I've had in a long time I've switched my dogs food to a different kind to be auto shipped had 4 unopened bags of the old kind they were eating not only did they they refund for 4 big unopened bags of dog food they are letting me donate it to a animal shelter I can honestly say chewy.com has the best customer service I've had for a couple years you guys are awsome and you really helped my local animal shelter out thank you!

We ordered a box of canned cat food. The outer box was in perfect condition, as was the inner cardboard tray. However, every can was badly dented. They sold us a collection of damaged cans, and charged premium prices for it. Never buy from them.

Ordered dry food and upon receipt, the box was in perfect condition. However, opening the box was a different situation. The dry food had been tampered with and the entire top of the bag was red taped. I requested an immediate replacement. I was lied to by a night supervisor that it would be received in 3 days. Received the shipment notification and will not received for a week. Why would someone send a tampered bag of dog food out to a customer. Who is going to feed this food to their dog if it was tampered with and why should we have to wait 2 weeks for his food.

Excellent products & service I never had any issues /also i would like to thank Opal for the beautiful flowers i recieved from her & chewy for the recent passing of my dog Simba on 11/08/21 he was 13yrs old yorkie we love him & miss him so much & Opal & chewy were part of his life as well thank u again thank u sincerely E.Rivera

I don't write many reviews but I want people to know what a wonderful company Chewy's is. We have been using them for around 2 years. We normally shopped at Pet Smart but my daughter used Chewy's for her dog food delivery. I went online and found out the food I bought was cheaper than at the store. Plus the toys are a whole lot cheaper and my animals love their toys. I like that you can set up auto-ship and not have to worry about placing an order each month. It's really easy to add to your auto-ship if you want to order a toy, extra treats, or a bed they have it all. I usually get my shipment the next day. Although I have had to wait for 2 days before. Shipment is truly extra fast. One month we received our dry dog food, and it had an opening in it. So we called customer service to find out how to exchange the bag. Unlike other companies, there was no wait to speak to a customer service representative.The representative told us not to worry about returning the bag to throw it out and they would get us a new one out that day. They also refunded the price of the food just for the trouble. Tell me what other company does that. My 84-year-old mother started using Chewy's because of the great service I had received, plus she didn't have to go out each month for supplies for her dog. She has an older dog and ordered a set of steps to help her get up on the bed. These were not cheap stairs they were made of wood and cost over $100.00. Well, I went over to put them together for her, but they were way too big for her bedroom. So we called Chewy's and explained the situation. They immediately refunded my mother's money, ( she had it in 2 days) and told us to give the stairs to someone who might want them or to a local animal association that could use them. I recommend Chewy's to everyone I know or talk to that has a pet. I love Chewy's and their customer care is wonderful!

I just received a very unexpected package from Chewy. It’s a painting of my cat who passed away just over a year ago. They used the profile picture from the profile I deleted after she passed away. I can’t get over this thoughtful gesture.

This Company is by far my favorite. Customer service is excellent. Shipping is so quick it amazes me. And their compassion when one of your beloved animals has died goes beyond what any other Company I've known, does. Thank you!

Do not order from pharamacy unless you want to have meds delayed. Two ways to get prescription approval. They call Vet ( closed on weekends) or snail mail paper script. No fax or email or photo upload. Say there's Fed regulations. Won't cite ref. Customer service like robots. So is IM. My dogs meds aren't life threatening but time for Chewy to join 21st century.

Chewy customer service representatives are incredible! My dog passed away a week ago and I contacted Chewy to stop my auto-shipments and to inquire about returning an order that I no longer needed. I was told to donate the order and my account was credited for the full amount. Last Saturday, I received a delivery from Chewy that was totally unexpected. Thank you Chewy for your compassion.

I absolutely love this company. I used their chat feature to return an item and they immediately issued my refund and asked that I donate my item to a shelter or rescue; no need to return it. This is an amazing return policy that benefits so many. I will continue to order from this company and highly recommend it!

Can no longer order from Chewy. They only use FedEx. FedEx orders go into a black hole and sit there forever. Last order still sitting in facility close to my home for 8 days and counting. Contacted Chewy and they will use no other carrier. Goodbye Chewy.
