“They are very dishonest people. I ordered the prefilled communion and i called to confirm the expiration date. The customer service told me it would be far out, and if the date didnt work out i should return it. I got it 500pcs and it expires in July 2025. I call back and they go oh i cant return it. For a christain store who is suppose to be at the least sincere.. stay away....”
“I received an email from you that was purportedly to update my credit card concerning an unpaid bill from ATT. ATT said that this was a scam from you.”
“I ordered this book, actually 4 of the same one, titled Ultimate Bible Dictionary. The way it looked on website was larger than actual size. It's very small with print so small you can barely read it! Just like the figurines I bought , very small ! Won't order from them again! They're using the name "Christian" to lure unsuspecting people with false representation! Couldn't get picture to upload.”
“I ordered a book over 5 days ago and paid for upgraded shipping. A shipping label was created but it has sat for 5 DAYS!!! I contact customer support and first they tell me it’s shows shipped. I provide a picture to show that the tracking says label created, awaiting carrier pickup. The customer rep then replies with well we use an independent carrier to get our packages to FedEx, your tracking should update shortly…….that means they know they still have the order and don’t want to admit they messed up. I was expecting more integrity from a Christian book company. This was my first order and it was my last. I don’t like being lied to about petty things. Own up to your mistake and it’s easy to forgive but we all know what the word says about liars.”
“I will never order from Christian Book.com again. I am a grand mother with 9 grand children and have ordered their personalized quilts, but when I ordered my baby grand daughter a pearl bracelet on the 1st of July for her birthday on August 19th that should have given ample time to get here I just received it in October 3 months after I ordered and paid for it so I couldn't give it to her at her birthday party.”
“It appears that I have been charged $14.95 a month from Christianbooks.com by purchasing something from them and then the charge automatically started. I don't remember a clear disclosure; because I would have never agreed to that. I will NEVER buy something from them again.”
“Just like everyone else I was scammed into joining a rewards program that I did not authorize. I'm not sure how many times I was billed but scared to look after all the books and cds I have ordered for this company in the last year. It's a shame that they would use the word christian and do this to people. That's ok though because God sees everything! And that's all that matters!”
“i found that amazon prices were cheaper then Christian books and i was also unwillingly put into a monthly subscription without my knowlege.be careful when doing business with Christian books”
“I've been using them for years and the items they have are quality. However, they promised me a free delivery rebate to join their club back in February after placing a decent sized order. It's now July and I haven't received it. I've communicated with them severally and they continue to push the date. I was even lectured by a CS rep about my canceling my membership due to their dishonesty.
My complaint emails are yet to be responded to. They don't seem to care any more about their customers, which is a real shame.”
“Scammers ! Be very careful. I thought I will support them since Bible is asking us to support household of faith. When checking out they offer $3 rebate for signing up for Christianrewards.com at a monthly fee of $16.95 per month. Trust The Lord but steer clear of companies like Christianbooks.com”
“I was happy with the Bibles that I received for my two kids. My kids have loved them. However, it was not clear or boldly stated that a rewards monthly subscription was going to be automatically attached to the order. Three months later I see the subscription on my statement report. That one is on me for seeing it so late but I do not like that I was automatically given a monthly subscription. I doubt that I will be ordering from Christian book again in the future. This is a very poor business practice. I also was only refunded for this month's payment and only because I was a few days away from when the payment was made.”
“Tried to order a book, they were up front and told me they were backordered so I cancelled the order and somehow got on a subscription for 16 bucks a month. Seems shady for a Christian store.”
“They need to repent from scamming customers. When ordering a book, you can inadvertently end up signing up for a trial subscription. You will be billed on your credit card each month without receiving an email receipt. Do not ever give them your credit card number!”
“Their practices are deceptive and unethical. I didn’t know that I was enrolled in their rewards program until I got a bill after purchasing a book the month before. It would be interesting to know how much this seemingly Christian company has made from people by ripping them off this way. Do not do business with this company!!!”
“I recently learned this company automatically signs you up for a reward programs and charges 14.95. It was difficult to cancel and would not refund. If you order be very careful and check you credit card monthly for this charge.”
“I saw a charge on my credit card for an enrollment in their membership. They claim I did this, but I haven't been on their website for almost a year. The charge was just one day ago. I feel they are being deceptive. If I hadn't noticed it, I would have been out money I didn't spend. I will never buy from them again.”
“I ordered a book and it was delayed 4 or 5 times always indicating it was available in 3 weeks but it was continuously on back order even after I asked they check with vendor.
Ultimately I canceled the order. I will not use again.”
“I somehow got enrolled in their $15/mo membership program. They claimed I knowingly signed up but I do NOT enroll for programs, so it was so super fine print. Do NOT accept a rebate, membership, or rewards program!!! They only refunded part of the charges, basically what I would be able to contest with my payment method. I am so disappointed in this “Christian” company. Guess I’m going back to Amazon and Barnes and Nobel.”
