“Terrible service. TSA Pre check is faster. Almost every time I use clear the TSA Precheck line goes faster. Clear asks me for my ID even though the scanner identifies me. They say Oh it’s just a random check. Well that random check takes longer that just giving TSA Precheck the same ID. It’s not a service I’ll renew and if I could I’d get a refund. The Clear agents seem overwhelmed or poorly trained. Don’t waste your money and respect your time.”
“Clear is awesome. I first used it when the TSA lines were an hour long at the New Orleans Airport. We both signed up right there and the process was fast. I bought the family plan so both of us could use it right then yet I could still add my wife and mom later when they traveled. The Clear agent did everything quickly and walked us straight to the TSA Agent for screening and we made the plane. I used it for travel myself later even through I had TSA precheck as that line looked just as long as the standard one. It was great - best of both worlds walked up to TSA agent and into the less involved TSA precheck screening. Then, just three days ago, I added my wife to the family plan as we were starting a long trip. They enrolled her quickly and she loved it. We used it again departing LAX for our international flight. Very much worth it for us.”
“Sky harbor, phx - time to replace FADI from your terminal 4 B gates!!!! My husband and I walked through the Clear line, as I had both our boarding passes on my phone. After we were done with Clear for my husband, there were only 3 people in line for TSA Pre, so I walked around the barriers and got in line for TSA Pre (5 feet difference from where I was standing). Fadi proceeded to raise his voice and exclaim that he told me 3 times to go to the TSA line (where I was standing). Global TSA is a federal check and there was no reason for him to behave in this offensive and inappropriate manner. My husband is cancelling his Clear and I will share this experience at every opportunity.”
“It is totally unacceptable for any third-party business to ascertain 1) a clear "selfie" photo of my face, 2) confirm my email address through the verification code, and 3) verify my phone number again through the confirmation code. And then- upon verifying the 3 above things- this third-party site wants my Government Photo ID. So they need my phone number verified, my email verified, a clearer image of my face, and then either my passport or my driver's license. Just so that I can use LinkedIn!! This is insane. “I was passing through FLL airport and a guy was offering the service for free, asking who had an American Airlines creditcard. I went to see how the procedure worked and he took my credit card details and said that he had charged absolutely nothing. To my surprise, the amount came to $189.00. I contacted American Credit Card and found out that there was no promotion with CLEARME. Be careful with offers from this company.
I need to cancel this improper transaction.”
“CLEAR's "support" page told me that no one would be able to assist me with my identity verification. So I'm just stuck with an unverified LinkedIn profile, with no way of fixing it. >:(

“My wife and I signed up about three years ago for air travel. Although we signed up together at the airport, we were not told of the family add on discount, so we have overpaid for our memberships. We also have TSA PreCheck and have not found Clear Me to save any time compared to using TSA PreCheck. When I used Clear Me, over halftone time I had to use the same ID method as PreCheck because the scan did not work. The last time, the scan did not even have me as a member. It has not been worth the money or time for us. We have cancelled our membership.”
“I wanted to cancel my clear membership last year because I didn't use clear and didn't seem it was worth my money. They charged me ~$200 and I called them within 30days to let them know I want to cancel. They canceled my membership BUT NEVER REFUNDED MY $200, I tried calling several times (a span of 3 weeks) and they keep saying they would BUT THE REFUND NEVER CAME THROUGH. I decided to just take the loss and be happy knowing I canceled my membership, I would rather clean my hands of them than deal with them for a prolong period of time.
TELL ME WHY 1 YEAR LATER, THEY CHARGE ME $200 AGAIN?!? WTF?!? I immediately called their customer service and the lady was helpful to claim it was a FALSE CHARGE and will refund me the $200. They said it'll take 2-3 business days so I am counting down the days before I check my account again to make sure they don't scam me out of $200 again. I am incredibly upset, DO NOT SIGN UP FOR CLEAR, THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY.”
“Staff: opposite of warm. Borderline aggressive. Against the white glove treatment you are led to believe Clear offers.
Benefits: next to none. Yes, you skip the first line to check ID. So you think you've saved like 5 min tops. Then you're confronted with their computers which can't handle anything that's not happy path.
You still have to do the regular line of no shoes, no belt, etc.
Save your money, don't subscribe to Clear.
And if you travel a lot or plan to, just do the airline status challenge and get priority boarding.”

“I used clear once for work for a year, luckily my work paid for it. It was worth it at Love Field, but they are not at every airport so I actually really hardly used it. I canceled it and my husband and I thought about trying it out again. We went out of town and they did not have clear at the airport we went to, so we never even used it. I went to cancel my account, I already got charge the $189. I had to cancel my debit card, asked for a refund. Then my refund did not go to my card because I had to cancel it because of this payment. I emailed several times to clear, they were super unhelpful. This took over a month and I still have not received an email back, I undated my payment information and still have not received my refund. Then I got an email saying my account is going to activate in 30 days, why?? when i canceled it. Are they just trying to take more money from me and never pay me. I NEVER EVEN USED THIS AND NOW I AM OUT ALMOST $200. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. DO NOT USE THIS!!!”
“Tried this at phoenix sky harbor and the staff were very unprofessional and rude The agent i dealt with said he was an embassador since 2024 his name is Abdi. Clear should do a better job training. They were not knowledgeable about the jobs they were doing or the service and they were bragging about it. Absolute waste of time and money.”

Of course, there was no human support but the generic one elaborated that they couldn't help and suggest to try again later. Huh, what a nonsense!”

“Im very disappointed in the service of clear over the past year. Clear is supposed to make traveling quicker and more convenient but the longs are longer than the regular lines. The past 3 times I traveled the TSA pre check line moved 2x faster than the Clear line, so Im not sure what exactly I am paying for. Then you have the nerve to raise the prices. I will not be renewing after my subscription is up. I do not see the value for the money I am paying.”
“I was at Salt Lake City Airport. The Clear employee was Extremely disrespectful, rude and mean. When i asked her to behave properly and talk properly, she kept disrespecting me and continued to be rude and condescending. and then she pushed me out of the CLEAR line and asked me to go through the general line. When i said I pay for the family plan and she is being very unrespectful and rude, her response was that that is not ton of money that I pay and she didn't let me in through the CLEAR Line. We have a family membership for 4 people and we travel very often. I have not seen such unrespectful behavior from a customer service company. I am very disappointed and I plan on cancelling the family membership.”
