purchased pebble strips for the garden which i was happy with so purchased more to complete the project. however upon coming to the end of the box noticed 2 of these strips were much lighter and contained fewer pebbles. after a costly 10 minute wait on the phone to customer service told to return full box when i pointed out it was only two strips needed replacing and the others are now glued down was told by the operator i should check these things before starting. needless to say i wont ever purchase from them again

7 reviews Published 2 seconds ago Just Lousy Customer Service I have now purchased five products from Coopers of Stortford. All products were over the UK£15-00 requirement for free postage. Three of the purchases were with a discount free postage voucher???? And still I have been charged the postage for each article at UK£4-99p. On all purchases i queried the postage, (via eMail) got a reply being looked into but never received an acknowledgement or explanation? I think - no! I know; this will be my last purchases from Coopers of Stortford.

We recently bought an Easy use flip mobile for my mother in law, who at 85 her eyesight is not the best! She is not on the internet, and when the phone came she was very pleased with it, but when she has a problem, how is someone who has bad eyesight supposed to read the instructions! The text is so small, it is a joke, but not for her! Does your company not check the products before you sell to your customers! A response would be appreciated! Thank you.

they have a well balanced catalogue where most items would keep most customers happy I recently bought some stainless steel washing line pegs I havent seen them any where else

Bought one of their water filter machines last year and you can only order the replacement cartridges from them. Ordered nearly 2 weeks ago and still waiting for delivery. They have taken the money quickly enough from my bank. They are not replying to my emails and have hung on the phone several times waiting for a reply. Poor, poor service in an age when Amazon can deliver in less than 24 hours.

I ordered 2 bags which according to your website only 1 arrived with a note saying the second one would arrive when in stock . I phoned to complain and was told there were 62 in stock. This is not the first time this has happened when I have ordered from you but it will certainly be the last as I will never use your firm again

Firstly they would not accept my password and even though I requested a new one it never arrived, then they told me to check in as a new customer but their website then said I was already an existing customer. Finally they admitted they had made a mistake and that I was an existing customer, then went back in and password was accepted, goods ordered and paid for, and payment accepted. Five days later I received an email saying I had left goods in my basket only to find when I went into the website it showed the basket as empty. I emailed them to find out what was going on as I should have received goods by this time but had not, only for them to completely ignore me even though I sent three emails reminding them that I was still awaiting delivery of the goods and needed to know what was happening or indeed if I was going to get them at all. Cannot believe a company can afford to treat customers in this way, if I ever get this sorted I certainly will never order from them again. Internet ordering is usually so easy never had this hassle with anyone else.

some months ago we ordered a greenhouse from coopers. when it eventually arrived it was clear that it was not new, had obviously been sent back due to the very complicated instructions also all the parts were mixed up and in the wrong bags so impossible to work out!!! surely if something is sent back and they feel the need to send it out as new it should be checked, we had quite a fight to get our money back plus we had to pay for it's return we now realise how stupid we were to be tempted with voucher offers so ordered yet more chinese junk . one of which just did not work .when we tried to return it we were promised lables to return it, after several requests we still haven't received them.we think this is so you run over the time by which you can send things back? we are really sorry that we didn't think to read the reviews before we got caught be these scammers SO PEOPLE OUR ADVICE TO YOU DON'T BE TEMPTED BY THIS TERRIBLE FIRM

I bought a fly screen curtain for my back door waited almost 2 weeks for it to arrive and when it did the goods were defective. The sewing of the frill round the side of the curtain was very poor and as a result all the braiding was coming away, the screen was £14,99 which is far more than the magnetic curtains which can be obtained for far less than this curtain price wise. The overhaul construction of the item was very poor the only saving grace was the refund I asked for was applied immediately . Why the delivery took so long I dont know but in this age of internet shopping that would go against the company. I would certainly not shop with this trader again.

I purchased a step with handrail after a bad fall, to help me get in and out of the bath safely as I am disabled. One week after they took the payment by credit card, I phoned asking when I will receive the item as I was desperate for it to arrive. I was told they could not give me any details of when I will receive the item, so I cancelled. I placed an order for the same product with another company and got the item the next day. Just as they failed to deliver the item in a reasonable time, they failed to give me my refund back with in a reasonable time. Very poor customer service, my advise don't buy from this company.

After contacting them twice my order was finally delivered 3 weeks later. I have bought the Coopers of Stortford soup making machine. I have used it 10 times and it has only worked correctly twice. A very shoddy product. Appalling customer service.

Feel secure with the four step safety ladders! I felt completely at ease using them reassured by hand rails,wide steps and complete strength and stability and what I consider reasonably priced. If you are still up for Spring Cleaning, decorating or any job at height I can certainly recommend these steps. Be Safe! The only draw back was the time I had to wait for delivery but worth it for a quality item eventually. Anon.

I have to say I am extremely disappointed with the service received from this company, I ordered a water cooler online , my first ever order I must add, paid for it through PayPal and waited for delivery. 6 weeks later I'm still waiting for delivery even though being told by customer services I would receive my item 2 days ago! Now been told I should receive it by Monday! !! Just tried tracking the item through hermes via a tracking number provided by customer services to find that it's not even reached the courier yet!! Absolutely disgusted and fed up will not be recommending or using coopers of stortford ever again!!

I ordered three items on line and after 21 days they had not been delivered. When I asked customer services what was happening they replied that two of the items were out of stock and they did not know when they would be delivered. When I ordered them they did not advertise that these two items were out of stock.

BEWARE!!! I ordered a telescopic ladder from this company and it failed to arrive. When I dialled customer services a recorded voice said I would have to wait six minutes (at seven pence a minute plus the connection charge!). After THIRTY minutes I terminated the call with it still unanswered. It cost me more than five pounds for absolutely nothing. I eventually got my order restarted after sending an e-mail. There was no apology for the deliberate misleading statement about waiting times, nor any offer of compensation for my costs. I wrote a review on the company's web site telling of this and they didn't have the courage to print it. This company's questionable integrity has lost them a customer.

I ordered an in car digital camera from Coopers. It came with a battery that had no charge. I tried to charge it and it would hold no charge either. I phoned them up (at 7p per minute) and they agreed to send me a replacement battery. This too holds no charge. Basically it was a complete waste of money and I now have a worthless plastic box that looks like a cheap camera.

I ordered a leaf blower/vac from this company. When it arrived there was a part missing. I contacted customer services who replied that I must have mis-read the instructions. I sent more details, but my e-mail was returned as spam. Never again will I order from this company! Their customer relations is an insult!
