“We went today to Costco and one of my family members had a disabled pass, unable to wear a mask. First they treated her like a criminal, very uncomfortable and embarrassing situation. Second, even though she had the pass and the letter of the CEO stated that with proper identification you don't have to wear a mask, they didn't let her in. That's against the law.”
“I order 4 containers of ready wise survival food and had it shipped directly to my children in another state. Costco took it upon themselves without asking to substitute it with a totally different item and not even the same brand food. Never. Never order from costco online, they cannot be trusted. The only way I found out they switched my order to something I did not order, is my children had to tell me. I consider what they did is fraud. They owe me approx $200.00 for food i ordered.”
“I ordered and received my microwave. My HUGE complaint is that my receipt and the Costco confirmation email I received both indicated that I would receive installation and removal of my appliance. I have proof of this occurrence and I called customer service. Customer service gave me an apology. Well an apology doesn't fix the fact that I ordered from Costco because they said they would install my new appliance and remove my old appliance. I would have ordered from Lowes or Home Depot if I would have known this would happen. I would love to send my receipt and email I received but customer service can't receive emails and I can't upload photos onto there feedback form.”
“Went to buy a battery for my car. Livonia Mi. store, 0 batteries, Brighton store 30 miles away, 32 batteries. Ask, can you get some from the other store? Answer, No. Horrible customer service. Each year Costco service continues to drop. Sad that a store that should have everything I need doesn't. I guess someone else will get my business. Al Smock, Livonia,Mi.”
“I'm very dissapointed i order a samsung package from costco which included refrigerator, stove, dishwasher and microwave. I moved in to my new home with no appliances and was really looking forward to this i order on july 7th and they said it will take a month for me to recieve my order. On august 12 no updates from costco so it took me more than an hour to get through i finally did and they said my order was delayed and i had to wait until august 29 or just cancel at this point after all the waiting i didn't want to cancel it's very easy for them to say and not put themselves in our shoes first week of september i get an email saying order delay until october. Yesterday september 20th they send me an email saying my order was cancel and they will compensate me with 200 dollars i find it very unfair that no one could call me to tell me this or even try to make this better for me i wasn't the one who cancel and they are canceling without an explanation and they feel that with 200 dollars it will be good for us. I have done all my purchase at costco and even if samsung cancel on them they should try to make this better for their customers.”
“I am so disappointed in Costco making the decision to remove Palmetto Pimento cheese because a man makes comments against a Marxist organization who finances looting, murdering, burning businesses and comments about a white couple murdered in their driveway by a black man. I know you don’t need any of my money my but it’s a good thing because I won’t shop there ever again. I’m not a racist and I want to see our country unified with answers. BLM movement isn’t the answer. Our police are getting beaten and killed and not even allowed to protect themselves. You think BLM wouldn’t loot and pillage your stores if given the opportunity? Color doesn’t matter to them, saving black lives doesn’t matter to them. It’s power and money while destroying this country with racial division.
You have made a decision based on someone speaking their heart. He speaks the truth and you yank his product off your shelves for punishment. Sick of seeing business after business show support for this domestic terrorist group. I’m out Costco.”
“Do not order furniture online. My daughter ordered furniture over a month ago. She can not get through to online customer service. We could have drove across country to get this furniture to pickup before they answer or help with this problem.

“One day I ordered something from Costco. It was delivered to me and a 2 guys delivered in a BMG truck. They accused me of not being able to speak proper English and their service was bad. They didn’t explain clearly and it was super confusing.”
“I am a bit confused. Back in April when the Pandemic started, I ordered paper towels and was charged almost 40 dollars because of the demand. They said it would take more time because of the demand. By June, I still had not received my order. I received an email apologizing saying they would refund me. I have sent many emails and still no refund. It’s August!!!”
“I recently ran into an issue buying tires at Costco in Independence, MO 64057. I originally that I needed to buy a 17" tire but was told by a tire tech my make/model takes a 18" tire but it would be the same price. I was contacted an hour later saying my vehicle actually had 20" tires on it and they didn't have them is stock. I was told the 20" tire was actually an option that was on the car when we bought new. Again, I thought the vehicle was equipped with 17" and was surprised when I was told it was 18" by Costco. Long story, (Dan - Asst, Store Mgr,) at Costco advised me they were ordering my new tires and they would replaced them at "no additional" costs because of the confusion and mis-understanding. I can't explain the satisfied level of service I received from Dan!! I have been a membership holder for over ten years, and once again Costco provides the best products, and services than their competiton. I will remain a loyal Costco membership holder.
Thanks again,
Terry Van Winkle”
“Costco received my returned items on June 10,2020 . I still haven't received my refunds, after more than a month.
I have called them THREE times to follow up, I spent more than one hour of waiting time each time and was told that I should get my money back in a few days .
Why are you still holding my money since you already received my merchandise a month ago?”
“Don't buy appliances at Costco unless you want to wait for weeks/months.
I purchased a dish washer one month ago from Costco.com website, which was delivered one week later, but the installation did not happen as XPO (Costco's delivery partner) did not have the spare parts to do the install. I was told they will come back in 2 days to do the install, but its been 3 weeks and no one showed up.”
“Absolutely Horrible online service!
They could not deliver us our Dinning table till now, it’s been 2 months, though they have delivered us the chairs and the legs of the table in 3 different attempts. And when you call them to check on the rest of the order, they have no updates. I'm just losing my patience now.
An advise to them - they should just shut their Online service, if they cant handle it.”
“So... Due to Covid, Costco is no longer putting air in people's car tires. Because suddenly, three months after Covid hit, they care. Yes. They care. In fact, they all of a sudden - magically even - care SO MUCH about everyone's safety and health that they want to reduce the contact between people and customers to eliminate any possibility for a Covid outbreak. So they've set up a station whereby people who pay $155 a year for a Costco membership and who buy Costco tires for the specific reason of having Costco maintain them, can fill their own tires. Apparently tires are now a Covid threat.
Because usually before I go to Costco I spend some up close and personal time getting intimate with my tires. I talk to them, breath on them, maybe accidentally pant or sneeze on them, or cough - maybe - on them, touch them - tires need love too. I don't know; it's possible - I mean it could happen that I might accidentally lick them if I get too close, just because. You know how things can go with tires. So, I can see how the kindly people at Costco would be concerned that their employees might get Covid from my tires.
I am thoroughly disgusted and disappointed with Costco's latest excuse to back out of providing good customer service under the guise of pretending to care about their employee's and customer's health.
Dear Costco, if you truly cared about your customer's health, you would have had a jumbo size container of Clorox wipes by the pin pad at every checkout counter at every Costco across the country from day one, because if Covid really is the threat that you are pretending it is, your credit card pin pads would have killed hundreds of thousands - if not millions - of people by now.
And FYI, spotlighting one of your customer's complaints about forcing your customers to wear a mask THREE MONTHS INTO the so-called pandemic, is a despicable way to utilize fear, hate, and mob idiocy to shame a person who is voicing a fair concern about your tardy and pathetic store policy, and the worthlessness of masks as documented by OSHA on their website.
If I could give zero stars for customer service and using Covid to go as cheap and low as a store can go, I would.”
“For decades I’ve been a true Costco member. But as of late with what’s going on in China and the world Costco realizing that most everything It sells is made in China, I decided to distance myself from this retailer. With the real possibility of Costco turning a blind eye to slave labor and child labor Costco is profiting from this horrible act and I just can not be a part of Costco and its allowed practices.”
“in November 2017 we purchased a set of Michelin Tires from the Costco Tire Center in Burnsville, Minnesota for our 2014 Hyundai Elantra. The Tires we purchased supposedly had a 60,000 mile warranty on them. When we recently took the car in for a regular oil change, the mechanic told us the tires on the back of the car were almost totally worn out. We only had 24,000 miles on those tires. He called me into the garage where he had the car on the rack and I saw that the outside of each tire was completely bald, while the inner side of the tire had some tread, but not much. The front tires were in better shape, but at least 3/4 of the tread was gone on them too. I took the car in to the Costco Tire Center, expecting them to provide me some discount on a set of new tires, based on the premature wear of the tires. I expected some type of pro-rata discount. He said that the wear was funny and that it must be some type of mechanical problem. He also said that the tires hadn't been rotated twice, as they should have been, and they weren't going to warranty the tires in way. I admitted that we probably hadn't rotated the tires, but there is no way they should have worn that way in just 24,000 miles. Long story short, I had to buy a new set of tires after just 24,000 miles. Just beware that when you buy tires with these supposedly high mileage warranties, and you do have a problem with the tread wearing out much earlier, the Tire Center at the Store will look for any way to void that warranty. I am convinced that even if I had rotated the tires, they would have simply said it was some type of mechanical problem. I had truly come to expect more from Costco.”
“I love Costco and enjoy my 2 trips a week for the last 25 years. My issue with Costco is all the Chinese products you carry. If I had to guess its 70% and that’s only because of meat and alcohol. Only because nobody would buy either product because we cant trust them enough to put in our body.
I’ve always bought American and I find I can only buy 3 things from you. Meat, alcohol and Milk.
Even when you claim it’s actually American! It’s most of the time wrong and packaging and print of box is American. Don’t put USA on packages if not made here. It makes you as liar!!! And not to be trusted especially when the majority store is made in China.
Hopefully you start buying American products and stop supporting China.
Thanks”
“This Costco has the worst service ever. At the membership area at around 2:30 PM, a worker named Giovanna just ignores customers is being extremely rude and prejudice towards them for no reason. What kind of service is this? Rude service. Do NOT do membership with rude workers. Sam's Club is better than them.”
