Who On March 16, I placed an order with Costco.com for a brand new Dell computer.
on March 19. I received a used computer showing a service tag number on the box showing it went under remote repairs from September to December 2024
Costco is claiming that the computer was mailed to me from Dell and Dell was responsible for this while Dell is claiming Costco‘s responsible for this
I was informed by Costco that I would be receiving a return label which I still will not receive but i did receive an email indicating that the process to return is taking longer than usual

Costco seems to have lost its way, prioritizing profits over customer convenience. The increased membership fees, the TSA-like check-in at the door, and the long checkout lines make shopping there more of a hassle than a benefit. Unlike Sam’s Club, which trusts its customers and allows seamless mobile payments for a quick in-and-out experience, Costco forces unnecessary steps that slow everything down. Every visit feels like a chore. While they may offer quality products, but their rising prices on products, membership costs, and overall inconvenience make me question if it’s truly worth it. Shopping should be easy and fun—Costco, unfortunately, no longer delivers on that.”

“My complaint is with your Citi card program. Wanted to use Costco's HVAC program to replace my system and get all the rebates I could. With a price is $23K, my Citi card limit wouldn't be enough. Asked for an increase and was only given an extra $1k with a credit rating of 850 and no outstanding debt. Then told I'd have to wait 6 months for another increase which, is decided by a machine and not a person. So, I can't use my Citi card and get all the rebates. What a disappointment. The 2% back lost is enough to go elsewhere. Maybe a different card company would be better.”

“I received the Costco Connection monthly promotional magazine on Feb. 5th. ( I usually receive a coupon book but that never came.)
I saw an add with $15 off of their Kirkland Nicotine gum but then noticed that it said
“Valid 1/20/25-2/2/25.” I called my local Costco. They just said it’s expired, and even when I explained that I had just received the ad, they didn’t care. I called their corporate office who transferred me to their online c/s who didn’t seem to care either and would not honor the coupon. I then called back to corporate and was transferred to the Southeast regional office and spoke to a Mr Christopher, who had the same attitude-nothing they can do. I am thinking of cancelling my membership and only using local stores. Much better customer service.”

Accused me of stealing and followed me to the car at the parking lot and checked my receipt which was already checked at the exit door and told me I believe you had items did not pay for it and after he checked the bill he said oh you can go now everything is okay.
F*** that I escalated the matter and the store manager called me and all what he did oh we are sorry as Shaun ( the loss prevention guy) has an attitude like that. “I went to Costco to renew my card and in the entrance they did not let me go in , I explained them I need to renew my card and any way they did not permit me go inside . I am writing to express my concern about an unpleasant experience during checkout at your Bayer’s lake location on 26/1/2025 in the afternoon.
As I was leaving, the employee at the final check-out station—a young woman wearing a winter hat—took my receipt to review my purchases. She claimed that I had not paid for some items and asked me to step aside while she called another employee to verify. After waiting, the second employee confirmed that I had indeed paid for everything.
What disappointed me most was that the first employee did not apologize for the inconvenience or acknowledge the mistake, which I found disrespectful and unprofessional.
I understand that thorough checks are necessary, but I hope this situation can be addressed to prevent such issues in the future by skilled person who can read items in receipt rather untrusting customers.

“Brutal. Prices have gone up, produce quality has gone down. My son got tires there and they wouldn't put them on bc he didnt have a spare. They cited safety reasons. But, if he bought the ones that were 1000 more, they could do it. Funny how Canadian tire had no issue! But honestly, they are price gouging. So much for buying in bulk is a good deal. I'm taking my business to bulk barn and my local grocery store who is competing nicely with them. I'm done with corporate greed.”
