“Very poor customer care, service and support following a burglary on our home. Difficult to contact initially and unhelpful once we made contact. Will definitely not be renewing with them or recommending them to family, friends and colleagues.”

“Fxxking shocking behaviour from Covea .I'm being threatened by them to go with them on a no fault claim on an accident caused by their client . Instructed my own insurance provider to deal with it and still I'm getting calls emails from them .Emails and phone calls everyday stressing how I won't be getting paid for the foreseeable future as I'll have to wait on their engineer to confirm a total loss of my vehicle and even then they might not agree with my insurance provider's assessment .This is a joke .I'm now left with a mangled shell of what used to be my new work vehicle .Only had it 11 months from new and now not only haven't I got a vehicle for work -i can't hire one either as I'll have to fund it myself as they won't pay for it unless I hire one from them .How is this allowed to happen .They admit liability but not interested unless they deal with it . See you in court”

“our truck got stolen covea is run by bits of kids fast tracked from burger king or mcdonalds they wont pay out the right hand has no idea what the left is doing”

“If you get hit by a 3rd party pray they are not insured with a company underwritten by Covea! They refuse to answer phone calls or reply to emails from my insurance company or the hire car company providing a courtesy car. They have so far delayed the process 2 months and still at it!!”

“Covea took over 6 months to refund my Excess after being hit by an uninsured driver driving a stolen car ! It was a very stressful time and Covea just stopped communicating with me so I had to contact the Financial Ombudsman. I will not be insuring with M&S or any other company that uses Covea for their underwriters !!!!”

“OH MY GOD what a painful experience trying to get a re-quote on my existing policy because the business has changed. Spent 5 days trying to get a re-quote yet ive been passed around that many different offices its been unbelievable. Eventually get through to the correct team to handle my policy to be told i can't get a requote or cancel my policy unless i call the office who arranged the policy, i asked for the details and they said there wasnt any on the system...BANGING MY HEAD OR WHAT. I just wanted a re-quote yet i get buck loads of disappointment instead. 'Simply business' called me bish bosh bang JOB DONE, nice and easy.”

“COVEA IS A TERRIBLE COMPANY. AVOID AVOID AVOID OH DID I SAY AVOID . THEY DIDN’T EVEN KNOW I WAS INSURED WITH THEM FOR YEARS AND WANT PROOF OF MY NCB WHEN THEY WERE THE INSURER , THEN CANCELLED MY POLICY . AVOID AS THEY AREN’T WORTH THE STRESS , WELL OVER 50 EMAILS THEN ALL THE PHONE CALLS AND GOT NOWHERE . AVOID AVOID AVOID TOTAL SCAMMERS JUST WANT YOUR CASH .”

“They took my car following an incident. Cost of repair£60 to replace the side window glass. Insurance initially told me the car was under repair. I went to collect my car 200 km away by train than drove it back. Do not trust them. I was also asked to pay£10 for the yellow jacket to collect the car in cash no receipt or card payment. To avoid.”

“Before you think about taking out insurance with Sainsbury's be very careful as the brokers are coves insurance , should you have an accident, they will keep you waiting, not answering your phone calls and will do there best , not to pay out PLEASE BE WARNED , JUST BECAUSE ITS SAINSBURYS , IT DOES NOT MEAN YOU WILL GET GOOD SERVICE , PLEASE TELL YOUR FRIENDS TO BE VERY CAREFUL AND AVOID COVEA”

“A 3rd party driver rammed into my works van and unfortunately he was insured by Covea our insurance company can't get in-touch with them to sort out the liability, the van hire company can't get in-touch with them to sort out the cover, so far they have delayed the whole process by 5 weeks by refusing to talk to anyone.”

“Have ongoing claim with this company , this is first and only claim in 18yrs of I surance with them, have sent them numerous documents to validate the claim and they ask for more and other documents . They are appalling in the way they treat you , they suggest you are lying and fraudulent, and do not communicate ..avoid at all cost . They are unprofessiona l incompetent and dishonest , my next call is to ombudsman as they are only people I can turn to resolve my legitimate claim for my car which caught fire with my son on board driving to my mother's, full fire brigade and investigators report sent to covea .”

“Dear Mr J Reader On 17th April My kitchen ceiling caved in due to flood under shower. I contacted my emergency cover and corvea insurance I explained what happened and expected the loss adjuster to come out. I explained that I have no washing or cooking facilities. I also requested a hotel room . I have contacted covea for updates on a daily basis. It is now the 24th April and I have no cooking facility the kitchen is full of rubble ,dust and water all over from the ceiling I explained I have a toddler and I am disabled and I suffer with mental Heath ,i am so stressed out with the lack of support. My excess is £250 but I was told it’s £600 for contents and £600 for buildings that’s a joke Their not very good their just brokers I won’t be renewing with them , Their is not concern or compassion about your health and safety And now Iv got to wait till Wednesday for Sedgwick loss adjuster and they have rubbish reviews I have emailed the company excecutive. I like the matter looked into please I look forward to hearing from you.”

“Pet insurance on Dog. Covea have just taken over as insurers for 4 paws and the policy for my dog Toby a 10 year old cavalier has changed from £517.34 for the year to April 21 to £1590.48 for the year to April 22. A 200% increase seems just a trifle excessive. I immediately registered a complaint and even left a message to discuss with one of the directors but nobody cares and I have had no response. I have had to terminate my insurance since as a pensioner I really cannot afford such an increase.”

“Large buildings insurance claim completely mishandled. It is disgusting an insurance company can get away with treating people like this. Covea will not even acknowledge evidence of the mess I have been left with after sending in their appointed builders. Im pretty much powerless to do anything and currently facing £75k bill to put things right.”
