“Dreadful. I ordered a product from a leading high street store and was offered an interest-free credit arrangement via Creation. I phoned Creation three times over five days to find out why I hadn't received confirmation of my order. The first two times I was fobbed off with false information first wrongly blaming the store then wrongly saying they now needed further information from me although they couldn't say what. The final time they admitted their computer system has a 'glitch' which means my application, although approved, had got stuck and they couldn't fix the problem so I'd have to cancel my order and start again. If I hadn't kept calling I presume they'd never have told me. Abysmal.”

They lost our payment, admitted their mistake and continue to send us demand letters ( 54 letters) we have settled our account because we wanted nothing to do with them, one month later they have still continued to send us demands for payment. Have nothing to do with this company. Awful experience”
“I ordered a kitchen with B and Q. When it came to finance Creation Finance refused me credit. I was told to check my credit report which I did. There is no reason for me to be a bad credit risk and I was given credit for a sofa last year. I called Creation Finance and was told they could not tell me the reason. I visited Citizens Advice Bureau who said I may be too old to get credit at 73.
Having read these reviews I am glad I did not make a contract with Creation Finance.Finance.”
“This company clearly does not know what it is doing. I have a buy now pay later account which the 1st payment is due in May 2024 however today (Feb 28th) I got a letter saying my account was in arrears!! The letter also goes on to threat all sorts of various things in relation to the arrears which even in the letter says are zero!! They even added a £30 late payment fee to the account which of course is breaching the contract on their part as no payments are even due yet.
I would have no faith in Creations systems or staff and I would definitely not deal with this company again and have raised a complaint and i if no satisfactory outcome I will be raising with the Financial ombudsman.

“Try not to use Creation as years ago got refused credit for £300, and never had this happen before. Can't get better score than mine, never missed payment and already had settee with them so can see I'm a good payer. Rang them as never been refused before and they couldn't tell me why. I can only assume its because just took out new mortgage and applied for other credit same month. So out of principle would never use them again. Up until recently whe purchasing game console for my son for Xmas though I'd try them again. 12 months BNPL, and same as all the other comments can't log into my account, technical issues, freezing, using currys link, Web also the app. This company is beyond a joke, unprofessional worst system ,how are they in business. Its like its set uo because they want you to miss a payment,,or get charged all their ridiculous interest. After this I swear I will never ever ever use these people again, at any cost for any product, and will.be tempted never to shop at Currys just as they are associated with them. Want to give Minus stars. Hope theh get liquidated..”
“Curry's sold laptop as brand new. It broke down within 5 months. Their IT techs tried to reboot the machine, but it would not reboot, they couldn't find the operating system, they stated that it had a serious hardware fault, asked if I was the second owner. I returned the machine back to currys telling them to cancel the finance agreement. It was a 'buy now pay a year later.' Curry's manager stated that if he did this he would have to refund creation finance and that he was not prepared to do this, stating that under the agreement I had to allow them to repair the fault. I did not agree to purchase a faulty machine sold as brand new and found to be second hand after discovering that it was missing its original operating system. Creation Finance first told me that curry's need to confirm that the machine is with them before they would cancel the finance agreement. I provided creation finance with proof that curry's had the machine. creation finance would not reply to my messages until the year was almost up and the payment plan would come into force. Both currys and creation finance are the same as each other, knowingly thieving and defrauding the public.”
“Avoid at all costs, unless you enjoy technical errors being made your personal problem! The payment system is beyond a scam, let alone the portal where any change made doesn't actually get processed e.g. change of direct debit date.
Having been told twice to ring up and make a manual phone payment (of which I did) due to an technical issue with the Direct Debit system, I was then placed into arrears day later. Creation then confirmed it was a technical error yet, still took the second payment to clear arrears (which was incorrect) and made NO attempt to resolve the credit file history as requested. This then happened the following month in January 2024, being informed I should once again pay over the phone. Thus, they were happy to admit a technical error not being my fault yet, still took 2 payments and did nothing / nor even care about arrears showing on credit file, having followed all instructions correctly. Whilst it did arise the direct debit issue was a NatWest technical error, Creation accepted phone payment but this never transferred to payment history. Why? They stated phone payments do not count towards 'direct debit arrears'...despite telling me...twice...to make a phone payment.
To make it worse...I changed the payment date TWICE times on 22/01/2024 and then 01/02/2024 to the 26th of each month. I did this twice as despite having email confirmation of the change...Creation portal still showed the date as 22nd of each month. They then confirmed today on 16/02/2024 that payment date can only been changed 8 days before due date...I did it twice...starting 1 whole month prior.
When contacting Creation, customer service is NOT logging notes from previous calls so the new responder can confirm prior actions and next steps discussed. This is actually a complete breach of information security standards as you MUST be able to evidence the outcome of each 'incident'.
So when ringing today to ask why my payment date was still showing as 22nd, I was advised to let the the account go into arrears by seeing if their system can take payment via direct debit. Having already been WRONGLY placed into arrears because phone payments do not transfer to payment history / balance clearly (TWICE), I was actually advised to allow further credit file damage because you guessed it...THERE TECHNICAL ERROR. WHICH WAS ADMITTED BY THE TECHNICAL TEAM IN DECEMBER 2023 HENCE WHY PHONE PAYMENTS WERE REQUESTED!
So if you want a £33.54 phone contract to damage your credit file and then spend half your time trying to send Creation their own email confirmations as proof - this is the perfect company for you.
If you do not want damage to your credit file, I suggest avoiding Creation at all costs. The technical systems and operating standards in how they log/report/share outcomes with customers is non-existent nor do they actually care. Imagine advising someone whose already followed your instructions correctly TWICE to actually wake up to see if an account has gone into arrears.
Despite admitting errors, they refused to even add credit back to balance. My monthly payment is £33.54 yet, I paid £67.08 as they then said phone payments do not count towards 'direct debit arrears'. So I actually paid £67.08 in December and then January - which is DOUBLE the total amount each month.
I was also asked to send a full copy of my credit file from the company placing me in arrears for their technical arrears, to maybe see if they could reverse the error working with credit agencies. Talk about impertinent.
I am currently progressing with legal advice, dealing with the Ombudsman and raised reports to Watchdog / Panorama / Martin Lewis. Mistakes happen but trying to dismiss claims, then confirming you are in fact correct and continually getting it wrong more than once is unforgivable.
Fortunately, NatWest and the Ombudsman have confirmed remedial action for my credit file is more than likely with initial evidence already. It is the stress, saying one thing and then doing another and impact on my credit file as to why I am deeply disappointed / shocked.
A financial company actually advised someone to let an account go into arrears to see if payment is made...all for...£33.54.
Sorry for the rant, I have nothing but frustration and upset towards Creation. I do not want anyone to make the same error.”
“Don’t use, they hold your payments for your credit card for 9 days then uou can call fir an investigation which takes 7-10 days and you only get 14 days to pay, they are doing it on purpose so they can charge you interest and fees on the account as you clearly cant use the credit card if payments dont go through meaning you gave to use the money you need to pay the card with, its fast payments now and FCA and my bank say the acc should show money on your bal immediately, the processing has nothing to do with the balance. Its caused me a breakdown, stress & anxiety, complaining to FCA. Credit card not fit for purpose, creation steals your money its fraud!”

Creation just went from x to £0 without a consultation or warning, just done deal. I hadn't used them for a year but was handy for emergencies or large purchases in future. I won't be using again, and likely not use Currys again.”
“I purchased an Apple Watch through Creation Finance's 24-month interest-free option. Despite paying by direct debit, a remaining balance of 18p was left at the end of the 24 months.( This happened due to their wrong calculations)They charged £30 for this, and now they're threatening to add interest monthly for such a small amount. “I had a credit card many years ago, and paid it off in full before the terms changed. This was about 5 or 6 years ago.
This year, I received an email to say I owed £4 something. I checked the email and it was a legit email, and when I rang up, they told me the account was last paid into in 2021, and last used in March 2022.... I haven't got a credit card with them anymore, and haven't since BEFORE covid. The card was cut up once received (before COVID) and I had also received a letter to say my account would be closed from not being used.
Fraudulently try to get you to pay extra charges, and when you ask for an itemised bill to see where this charge is, no surprises, they cannot find the bill to send to you.
Disgusting service and extremely stressful.
