Just had a new roller door fitted by local company to replace the overpriced badly fitted inferior quality door which constantly failed to work despite visit from their one engineer in the country to service all doors at £500 a time.

Ordered my garage door told the salesman what colour, who replied oh yes we match all the front door colours don’t worry will be the same colour!! At this stage I was waiting for my new front door but had the colour code told the sales rep, forward about 8-10 weeks was told 6 weeks but hey garage door arrived before my new front door ,I know I should of waited until front door was fitted but I was promised this is the correct colour etc etc had garage door fitted then front door arrives the garage door is definitely not the same RAL number as the front door..I let crocodile know who basically said that’s the right colour??…forward to today I had the garage door tested with a colour machine it’s not the same RAL colour number I asked which I already knew from just looking at it..contacted crocodile to say I’m now having to spend out another £325 on getting the door sprayed on top of the£2.5k I paid ,I have had so many excuses as to why the garage door is not the correct colour oh it’s the material blah blah , and the machine that was used isn’t correct crocodile your excuses are unbelievable have said I’m going to trading standards as I feel like I’ve been done over , to which they kinda said good luck with that all I was asking is for £325 back to pay for the correct colour to be sprayed but nope they seem like they are robots reading from script, also the garage door is suppose to stop lowering if someone is standing underneath it , mine doesn’t it continues luckily it was my husband but if it had been a child they would have been injured. This has not even been addressed from crocodile they buy the doors from a third party then sell as their own please think about it before buying, myself I won’t even recommend them..I also add I was asked to take my review down as they didn’t deserve it

As per all reviews below, double glazing salesman arrives, gives a top end quote, miraculous 20% discount and guess what!! Someone local is having theirs done gets lower and lower and you won't get this price again hahahahahaha!

Salesman came yesterday following a 1 1/2 hour sales pitch which reminded me of the double glazing salesman that visited my parents in the 80s. Like other reviews high price then the discounts followed and a call this morning with more discounts. Which I find frustrating just quote the best price and I will make my decision. Had another company around within 20 mins they gave me a price no nonsense no offers of discount that's the price left it with me no follow up calls or pressure, placed my order today sorted .

This company sent a technician that removed our door motor , left it on the floor and drove away. Do not use them and if you get a technician called Danny, stay away he has no idea what he is doing!!! Stay away from these guys

Same as everyone else. Pushy salesman who started at £2500 then miraculously found someone in the area having one fitted. Price dropped to £2000. Told him still not interested so eventually he left. Lo and behold phone call from crocodile the following day offering more discount. Not impressed and got a much better deal elsewhere

Quoted over £2800 for a 2.5 m single garage door + more to dispose of old door gave me credit offers which basically doubled the price l said this is twice the price from the other companies I had approched? So I said I was not interested and sales person left. Next day I get a phone call from head office with a offer to reduce price by £800 Same old story as double glazing salesmen of yore avoid this company see other reviews below.

We have just had crocodile out for a quote.... Blow me backwards - reading reviews below is exactly as we've just experienced. Started at 3500 with 20% off then because there is another installation locally - they could knock off £900 🤣. It would then cost us another £170 to remove the old garage door. Honestly he did not stop talking. Not only did he not stop talking but as soon as he started knocking money off - we were out. We knew the sales patter was coming. Low and behold it did. He has said to contact him over the weekend to book but not to wait too long! His final price was £2650. We had another company 20 mins later turn up, similar products PLUS an alarm - £1500. I mean - no brainer right? The second salesman asked who else we had out and said - tell me it's not crocodile. Everything he told us about crocodile mirrored exactly what happened in the quote and exactly what all of the bad reviews suggest. Do your research..... and steer clear of the terrible sales patter, unless you have money to burn.

As others have said before, Crocodile sale techniques are atrocious. After the sales spiel I was quoted £4,350 for a single garage door. The rep' must have seen the look on my face and said that they would be in the area on a future date, and if I was to have the the door fitted on the same day, he could reduce the price to £3,500!! Alarm bells started to ring. How could they reduce the price by £850? By quoting a ridiculously high price in the first place! Needless to say, in the end, I didn't make a purchase. I've found a local company offering the same quality with an alarm, courtesy light, obstacle detection panel and external override kit for £1,920. What a difference. I feel sorry for the folks that have been lured into parting with more of their hard-earned cash than they needed to. Get two or three quotes before deciding on the one that is right for you. And avoid Crocodile, they just want to get as much of your cash as they can!!

We recently experienced the same as everyone has mentioned here before. The long talk on how fantastic the product is. He quoted just under 5k for two garage doors and that was with discount!. When he left I said, give it a day or so and they will ring with more discount....and sure enough they did. I thought these selling tactics were long gone....but we weren't fooled. We have chosen a local company who hasn't ripped us off. Just avoid this company.

Very disappointed, Engineer said that I would feel the difference, that the garage would feel warmer. That certainly isn't true, it is much draughteer than my old door. I can see daylight under the door, not looking forward to the winter. Dust and leaves coming in from under the door.

I wish I had read the bad reviews on here before booking Crocodile for a quote. Funnily enough I have had almost identical experiences to many people on this site which shows this company to be unscrupulous and manipulative. Sales person turned up to quote which resulted in us sitting through a 1h presentation on the Crocodile garage door. Told us this was necessary as we would see how superior the Crocodile door is and that other "trade" people would just measure up and leave (exactly what I wanted to be honest). Sales person was very pushy, discredited all other garage doors and had many, many stories of other customers which we were uninterested in. Typed numbers into a comically big calculator and quoted us ~£4500 (for a single garage door?!). Before I could tell him this was absurd, he said well, I can see you've got a lot going on with your finances right now so I can give you the "winter discount" of 20% off even though its summer. This brought the price to ~£3600. We said this was way out our budget (we had told him from the start that £1500 was our max figure). He said "Crocodile don't like me doing this but.." and proceeded to give us some other kind of discount for there being another fitting in the area. This brought the price to a "dump the deal" price of £2800. (This was excluding door disposal as they charge £350 for that or £80 for them to chop it up - what a joke). We said that we would need time alone as a couple to consider this price (basically just wanted him out our house at this point). He was very reluctant to leave it there, pushed us to make a deposit of £290 to "secure the deal", but we eventually said he could call us later and we would give him a final answer. He even said "what will change between now and then with your finances?". He also tried to push their finance deals with 9 months 0% interest as this meant we could just pay £290 now and worry about the rest later, in his words! Finally managed to get him to leave, he rang at 3pm and we said no, way too expensive. Surprise, surprise, Crocodile sales team rang me this morning saying they could knock another £400 off and do it at "trade price"! Despite us being told the previous day that £2800 was a final offer and once he leaves it expires! I said no on the phone, Crocodile said bye and hung up. What an awful experience. I would warn anyone away from using this joke of a company. Can totally see how they could prey on vulnerable people. Sickening.

I had a person from crocodile come to look for new doors. First thing he said i got 20% off there price. Then he said that he could lower the price by another 20%. I told him i was having other people to give me a quote. He left his phone number for me to ring him. At 9am he text me then 4 times that day. Three days later i recived a call from there head office offering me a lower price. This reminded of the old double glazing companies. I feel this company should not be considered they are a C........ 2023

Had a fault repaired just before warranty ran out. The repair only lasted a few months which took it outside the warranty. It was my belief that the repair should have lasted a reasonable amount of time so I contacted crocodile doors for ankther repair to be made. There response was very negative and used grammar that was very unhelpful. "You cannot expect us to repair outside of the warranty". When I suggested I would take the matter further through legal channels, they accused me of black mailing them, very bizarre and defensive. I was very disatisfied with their after sales service, especially regarding the very expensive garage doors purchased. One expected a much better product that would have stood the test of time.

A company that attempts to lure you in with free site survey and quotation out comes the samples and then the no nonsense pricing that they shows you. Start high, oh then there's a special 20% discount today. Still a mile off, it goes back to the office and a day later we can knock a further grand off by combining with a group fit. Load of absolute poor business. Contemptible stay clear!

All I have to say is don't make my mistake by not getting a detailed quote in writing. When the salesman tells you what you are getting, make sure to get it in writing and, get at least one or two quotes from different companies so you have comparisons before making a decision, it will pay off in the long run. I was told by the salesman that the rollers and workings would be hidden inside a box, it is not, it is completely open. After phoning the office I was told they don't put a cover over the rollers on the inside of the garage, but if I wanted one they could make one for £500. Mmmmmm let me think about that. So now my integral garage which we use regularly throughout the day looks very pretty on the outside, but not inside.

The sales experience was dreadful! The product looked OK. Priced at £3,900, then offered discount of 20%, then offered reduction because of claimed nearby installation. Finally came down to £2630. Finally, finally offered to include second remote at same price. I declined. Surprise, surprise. Telephone offer next day from office at £1950. Crocodiles bite you, piece by piece. Ouch! Obviously learned the sales technique at double-glazing school.

Awful people. They gave a quote over £4,000, they were told it was too expensive, they said because they had a job in the area (15miles away, in London traffic is not in the area) they dropped it to £3,249. Said no to that, he then dropped to £2,600. Got a call from the sales team the next day, said they had looked at the priced and were found some savings and offered it for less. Every other installer is quoted around £1,000-1,500. I remember by dad telling me about double glazing salesmen in the 80's and before, with this attitude. I thought that sales tactic would have died out at the turn of the century.
