“Pros: great way to sample cakes in your own home at your convenience. Carrot cake is the best tasting one Cons: not as flavourful as I would have expected for the price and compared to other cakes I have tried. For example the lemon needs more flavour”

“Strangely, my review didn't end up appearing and I am having to type this all over again. I would recommend purchasing a chocolate cake over the fruit cakes. The cake sponge was moist and paired well with the custard, crispy pearls and freeze fried strawberries but the strawberry buttercream was greasy and cloying. This made for an unpleasant combination so we scraped off the entire frosting on top of the cake and cut out the buttercream bits sandwiched between.”

“I ordered a Passionfruit And Pistachio Cake for my husband's birthday. Paid extra for delivery between 8 - 12AM, but cake arrived at 2PM. Cake is well packaged but noticed a very strong fishy smell that I think is coming from the thick paper ring around the cake. Smell didn't exactly transfer to the cake but it was very off putting! Think overall is expensive for what you're getting..”

“I’m a regular customer but I was disappointed with the quality this time. They tasted delicious but the finishing on the desserts was so messy it was difficult to figure out what some of them were. Not up to their usual standard.”

“Unfortunately the Mother's Day afternoon tea never arrived as DPD seemed unable to find the address despite numerous attempts which was disappointing. I spent a lot of time on the telephone waiting to speak to you customer services trying to rectify this & although you did organise a re-delivery nothing ever turned up. I did receive a gift voucher to use for a future order which was appreciated but what I really wanted was for my 88 year old mother to enjoy an afternoon tea with my 93 year old father!”

“Love these eggs been buying them for years, however this year on arrival both eggs were broken and pieces of the egg was mixed into the net packaging. The customer service team were great and said they would replace the eggs. So I re-ordered two more eggs, the second set were even more broken and the outer packaging was waterlogged from the delivery service. Hopefully next year the packaging will be sturdier to handle the postal journey. The flavour and the actual eggs are amazing but the effort and quality work put into them was lot of arrival.”

“The cake was too sweet, to the point of hearing the sugar crunch in the cream. And the delivery person left it on the side, and not flat. You know you're delivery cakes, why would you do that?”

“Even though the product itself was lovely and enjoyed when it arrived it was extremely frustrating that a Mother's Day Afternoon Tea that I paid £9 extra to be delivered on the Sunday ON Mother's Day arrived the day after. I also put in the delivery notes to leave in the enclosed porch or with a neighbour and it was left outside the door. It wasn't noticed until they arrived back and it had rained slightly. Also other than the link to leave a review afterwards there was no response to my delivery query on Sunday, or until now. I specifically ordered from here so it was delivered on Mother's Day....and it wasn't.”

“Afternoon tea was nice however the change of brand from Roddas to a long life smaller version was not great, with the new supplier not providing the same great taste we are used too. Had to go buy Roddas from the supermarket, as long as this is not included I don't think I will be returning to buy an afternoon tea anytime soon.”

“It’s a nice looking cake but it didn’t taste fresh…the cake felt dry mostly and was too sweet for us. It felt like a store bought cake and I wouldn’t reorder this unfortunately.”
