I bought some lamps on Monday 13th November.
You paid £60.00 GBP to DEBENHAMS.COM ONLINE LIMITED
I changed my mind due to finance 2 days later. I've been trying online and on email FOR TEN WHOLE DAYS to return the items to NO avail.
The online return form doesn't work. And customer services on email mention TWO separate companies the lamps are from. And the link they provide to return the items asks for a reference number I don't have as it's a company I've never heard of.
When a company doesn't have a customer services telephone number, RED FLAG! They don't care re the customer.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR £££ WITH THIS INEPT, CORRUPT COMPANY PLEASE FOLKS!!

“Terrible Beware. When you buy, its most likely not from Debenhams but a 3rd party store. This means if you have things to return, you will have to return each item to whatever place they came from which is a difficult procedure in its self and pay £1.99 per item! On my order Debenhams supplied me the wrong returns label so it went to the wrong place and they now refuse my refund. Disgusting!!! Who ever bought them out are not running it like the Debenhams I remember - don't assume you will get the good service they used to supply. Such a shame”

Completely dodgy. Do not buy anything online from them. In years of ordering online (all the way from the 90's even) I have never once received an empty package with a perfume box that's been broken into and has the box and packaging broken but no perfume? Clearly, these guys must be pretty bad. Looking at all the reviews I've never seen or heard of a service quite as bad as this one. My order number was DUX022812429.
I am escalating this under section 75 with my credit card provider but also will be trying to get these guys investigated by a regulator. It is just not acceptable. They should have been shut down by now.”
“This is the worse service I have ever used in my entire life, I purchased some goods through what I thought was a reliable organisation, I had my items returned by evri courier, to what I've just now discovered on the news that thousands of people have complained about this courier losing returns or returns being pinched. Because of this debenhams are refusing to pay me back for the refunds because the items have not been returned and its now been 4 weeks since I returned them, do not use debenhams for online purchases I urge the public to avoid this for their own sakes”
“After reading some reviews maybe I’ve been lucky but I have never had any problems and this is from someone who hates online shopping. My deliveries are often free and always arrive promptly. The goods I’ve ordered which are usually, though not always, perfume and cosmetics are a better price than I can find elsewhere. Quality is good though admittedly when you have a favourite brand then obviously you know the quality is there wherever you purchase the product. I have no issues at all but I do miss their High Street stores.”
“Customer service, where are they ? Literally no contact details , email bounced back and the only way I could contact them was through Facebook messenger 😱 Put the wrong house number on an order 78 instead of 76 , contacted them ASAP Literally a few hours later when realised and , they tell me they can't change the number ! ANGELIKA was her name, from this so called customer service respone This is for my parents in their 80's what a awful service you provide..”
“Debenhams have no phone number to call. I have tried to communicate with them regarding a very dangerous situation in which a broken mirror was delivered, causing broken shards of glass all over my floor, that I have cleaned up but now cannot move / remove, whilst having young children and animals in the house. All I received was an email saying they would return to me in three days. I tried communicating twice more, and begged them to phone me to deal with the matter immediately, and have no received further communcation. Absolutely unacceptable and hugely negligible - if my child knocks the box whilst walking around the house, he could be severely hurt. I am absolutely livid about their response.”
“bought 5 items from this shop. all of very low quality. not what debenhams used to be. They are over
returning and getting a refund has been a nightmare. they have no contact centre, take days to reply to emails and I'll only hear back now in 5 days to get a refund as the order was from a commissionary. Blatant”
“I placed an order at the end of September and still waiting for it. I have contacted customer services many times and all I am getting is wait another few days. I even contacted the delivery company to find out more as Debenhams refused to, they are looking in to it however they have told me to contact Debenhams again and ask for a replacement or refund on doing this I have been told to wait another 3 days. I would definitely not recommend this company for online shopping.”
“If there was the option I would give zero stars . I’m still awaiting for a refund from nearly 3 weeks ago . If you get in touch with them on the messaging service it’s always an automated response ,frustratingly you never get anywhere with them !!
I’m just waiting for a delivery which again is long overdue and for my refund and then I’m not ordering from Debenhams again ,they need to get their act together.”

“Absolutely disgraceful customer service. If i could give zero stars then i would. I originally purchased a faulty item from a concessionary brand but subsequently feel there has been unreasonable barriers to make a simple return. This has so far taken me over 4 weeks to get to the position where the item has now been collected but they have confirmed i need to wait a further 11 days for my refund to be processed. If not received by this date I AM expected to chase again. Over 13 emails i have sent to their customer service team over recent weeks on the matter, purely to return an item. In addition to that they seem to have unreasonable barriers to make a complaint. COUNTLESS times i have asked for the matter to be raised as a formal complaint and yet this still hasn't been completed as apparently they don't have a formal complaints process. Latest response was 'We don't have a department for complaints this is dealt with by Customer Services.' I don't care who it is dealt with i just want the complaint raising. I fully appreciate the order was through a concessionary brand, but they really need to review their existing processes & improve the customer service they themselves offer. I am truly shocked by the service received with such a reputable brand.”
“Appalling customer service, takes up to a week to reply. Its like having a conversation with a tortoise. I wanted to return some faulty goods but as they took so long to respond to my emails and anserwed incorrectly initially the 30 days has now exceeded and they will only give me a 25% refund!! I am totally disgusted and will never use again. Rubbish product, Rubbish service”
“Found what I wanted £6 cheaper than anywhere else and got free next day delivery ..I'm impressed
I've never had a problem in the past not orderd anything for while .

“The item was cancelled by myself and Debenhams. It was returned to them before it was even delivered to me as they didn’t meet the delivery deadline I paid for and so I purchased elsewhere (therefore I haven’t even seen the product never mind been in possession) which is now 5 days ago. After numerous attempts to email and Facebook messenger them (emails ignored altogether), messenger messages they ask for an extra day every single day. Where is my refund Debenhams - you still haven’t agreed to a refund despite receiving the return and you only have 9 days left by law to process my refund. I will progress this matter as it’s over £500, I will contact the ombudsman.”
“After a week, I still have not received the parcel, although I even paid for the next day delivery. customer service is in no way problem solving oriented. Evri company acknowledged that my parcel was lost. I have a flight tomorrow and I will go abroad. Customer service told me to wait another week as if making fun of it.
How can I receive a parcel and make a refund while I am abroad? Debenhams is regrettable. I will never shop again.”
