The dispute resolution function is exceedingly poor. They ask for evidence which is difficult to provide and then they don't evaluate it well. Importantly they give you hardly any time to respond or reject their proposals (say 48 effective hours total when one allows differences in time zones). Regarding a poorly made Saxophone mouthpiece, which I asked to be replaced, they contacted me on 2 Feb asking for evidence by 5 Feb, which I supplied on the same day. On 3 February they came back, offered me half my money back but agreed only half of the evidence but I hadn't given proof that the mouthpiece wasn't playable - how could I do that? I tried to make a counter proposal but they timed me out on 5 Feb and closed the dispute (was going to send the item back but by then I had no postal address to send it to, so couldn't do it immediately and was automatically timed out). Don't buy from them unless you can afford to write off the purchase. I have bought three items from different vendors through DHGate - two good and one bad. However without a decent means of dispute resolution I would strongly recommend avoiding DHGate. Chinese goods can be excellent and excellent value but one needs an effective returns and dispute resolution system: they don't! They are allegedly sending me and inadequate US$20 in lieu of return which I did not agree. Maybe I'll get it and maybe not. Dreadful!

Attempted to buy guitars twice several months apart from two different sellers. Each time the seller closed the store and removed inventory. First time seller gave a invalid tracking number. Second time seller closed up and did not ship. Avoid the urge to buy on this site. Dishonest sellers everywhere. Beware.

The Chinese culture is one of dishonesty. That is a fact. There are very fer dealers/sellers on DHGate that are trustworthy. They do not understand the concepts of great customer care, ethics and responsiveness. Nearly all sellers will not respond to email inquires. Escalating to their customer care team is not worth the time. They will make up excuses and tell you to work with other dealers. Its a ridiculous culture and selling market. STAY AWAY FROM DHGATE AS THE SELLERS ARE DISHONEST, NON RESPONSIVE AND NOT WORTH THE TIME>

I received 2 items from DH Gate and was totally happy with both items. The quality was good and the shipping time did not take long.

I'd give negative stars if possible. Getting a refund is extremely hard and you have to actually liaise with the sellers directly, and trust me, many of them are gonna play hard ball. It cost me USD65 for this mistake (seller name is niceshoestore). Seller was not cooperative at all because she wants me to state my reason as something else that's not my real reason because she didn't want to be investigated. I decided in the end to report this to my bank. I suggest all other buyers do the same instead of liaising with the useless admins and scammer sellers, and to never engage with dhgate again. Go aliexpress. I never once had a problem with their platform.

Customer service is all done with automation. Getting a human contact is impossible. My order never arrived and forget getting a refund. You are encouraged to deal directly with the seller which is not realistic in international transactions. I placed an order to try it. I am out that money but it was a cheap lesson. Stay away or at least know that the source of your order is reliable.

I placed an order for a supposedly Silky Straight Human Hair Jet Black unit and ordered it from seller zero_ff. First off I was sent a unit that was in the color brown. Secondly when I was using a curling iron set on only 210, the hair burnt and wouldn’t curl properly. That tells me that this was NOT human hair. Be extra careful when ordering hair from this seller. Fortunately I requested a partial refund and it was honored. It was so bothersome to have to get the hair dyed and then to top it off it is not curling as human hair should curl. Shameful seller!! BEWARE of seller zero_ff on the DHGate website!!

Made a purchase for 45 items. I received one item and it was the wrong thing. Contacted seller Huangwei345 several times through email and dm, no reply. Requested dispute. No response from anyone not even customer service. This is a rip off. All of the positive reviews are from Friends of the sellers out of China!!!! Everyone needs to post to BBB. I’m filing a police report!! It is illegal to take money without giving up the goods!!!!!! Also it took 30 days to receive the wrong item.

Awful experience buying from a company called Eunorau via DHgate. Seller makes a point of stating they will pay all import duty to UK & other countries but after my item was delivered to my home address in UK, I received a bill from FedEx for £83 import duty on my order and the seller wouldn't pay it. DHgate don't respond to my emails and very limited in choice when trying to raise a complaint. Absolute rip-off and will avoid in the future.

Sellers on this site are definitely scammers I ordered twice and I had problem with them for both items. I never received them and the main problem is they referred us directly to seller for an agreement for refund that is stupid there’s no agreement for that!!!!!! Definitely it is a SCAM

The truth is they are scammers. or they iet scammers. use their site. If you like putting money in the trash can just go ahead and oder from dhgate. THE BEST OF LUCK YOUR GONNA NEED IT

used it on two separate occasions, different sellers each time. The first item (earrings) arrived looking nothing like the photo and terrible quality - no response to any of my emails. The second item (shoes) never arrived at all but I was able to get a refund for this one.

I purchased a pair of tailgate struts for the lift back of my car. They were shipped from China. When they were arrived they were not the same length as the original (they were supposed to be for my car). However I installed them and found they would not let open all the way and when extended would not hold it open. I sent a message to the company selling it and got no response. So I then contacted DHgate after two weeks. No response. I did follow their instructions by first try contact the seller. Then I filled out the form required by DHgate including pictures of the the old struts next to those sent to me as replacement. I got no response from DHgate and it has been a week and a half. I have been a member of the original and better known site like DHgate since it's inception and all the years I have had few problems and if I did it was taken care of by the seller with the knowledge that the company would take care of a problem if the seller did not. This was my first and last experience using DHgate.
