“Ferry from Villa San Giovanni to Messina on 12th June 2023.
Information on the booking documents we received was totally inadequate and wrong and shows they no nothing of the circumstances at Villa San Giovanni.
You will be able to get your tickets when you check in. Wrong the ticket office is no where near the check in to the ferry. Fortunately a local guy helped us for a 20euro bung.
You need to be at the terminal 2 hours ahead of the time. Wrong or at least unnecessary as the ferries are running every 20mins or 30 mins.
Ideally you would just turn up at the ticket place and buy a ticket for 33 euros and thats that.
Very disappointed as i thought buying in advance was a good idea. Think again!”

They are playing games with a lot of money, constantly pass over your problem to someone else, give you the same excuses, and won't even find the opportunity, to be honest. They take your money, try to buy you a ticket and if they cant they say they will refund your money (for 15 days you always get the same polite reply "please allow 10 working days blablabla", but the money never arrives. Just go directly to the boat companies to buy your ticket :) It works fine!”

Direct Ferries will not reply to my 3 emails. They sent a cancellation notice to me about the Salerno-Amalfi route on Positano Jet. However, Positano Jet says that the INAG (booking) number from Direct Ferries is wrong (i.e. false). We booked 3 return tickets which cost us over 60 euros. Direct Ferries will not respond to my requests for a refund. If a Direct Ferries representative is reading this, please check your email and refund me. I will correct this review if that happens. Otherwise, to all future customers looking at booking with Direct Ferries, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.”

Never ever use Direct Ferries, it is robbery in broad daylight. They have just sold me a return ticket with Destination Gotland for 4580,74 SEK, and then at Destination Gotland bought the same ticket for 2574,00 SEK. For a simple booking they charge 2006,74 SEK for themselves. This is a profit of 80%. For the cheapest journey without meals, cabin, reserved seats or cancellation. I will fight for my money to the last krone. Never ever use Direct Ferries!”

“Simply avoid DF service. Booked a ticket and for ferry from Ao Nang to Koh Jum and paid by credit card. Got an SMS with the booking reference but no Email confirmation. When I tried to contact DF this was not possible as the reference number was unknown.”
“I booked a ticket from Wellington to Picton. At the time I didn't know exactly what car I would be driving (it would depend on the rental company) but according to their website that would not be a problem as I would be able to amend it when I have the car available.
When I received the car and tried to amend the particulars in their website they replied that the amendment was not possible.
I contacted the operator and could get a ticket for the same day and time as my original one.
Then I asked for a cancelation of the ticket with DirectFerries (according to their website that would be possible for a fee).
They replied that cancelation was not possible (even after I insisted that according to their website it was possible).
So I got ripped of of the value of the ticket...
My strong advise: DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY - IT'S A SCAM.”

“I bought ferry ticket from Tallinn to Helsinki on Eckoro Line via Direct Ferries website and then received a email with reference no. But no actual ticket. I became slightly uncomfortable when I read online comments alluding to DF bring s fraudulent company. I was worried I had been scammed. Just 2 hours before embarking I went to g to he port terminal and found a machine dispenser and got my actual ticket by entering DF’s booking reference no. All is fine now - verifying DF not a scam. See the picture of the self help ticket dispenser in the port terminal for your convenience.
While DF is not a scam but they do charge extra 2 to 3 euro for their service. Why not just book directly from the actual transport operator to save $? I’ll keep reminding myself to be a smarter user by not going through a broker the next time I book tickets.”
“This company are total rip off . Never ever deal with them again . Absolutely shocking treatment we changed original booking and they charged £43 for this to be told a week before due date to travel that the booking was not available and said they sent a email to say this . We never had a email . When asked to send us proof they only say the date and time they so say sent it . Absolute rubbish never had a email and we could not make another booking as they claim we missed the booking . Furious as they will not refund . I am so shocked at the comments about this company from others with sim problems. I hope karma bites them on the ass 😡😡”
