over 45 days to resolve a dryer replacement under warranty, I have been told I need to wait one more week and I may get a response to confirm if I get store credit or a replacement. Ridiculous processes that take weeks to provide an outcome.

I am a established landlord & have been for over 20 years. I insurance are property appliances through different firms to get the best prices. I recently cancelled a policy with domestic & general & got a renewal reminder & telling me not to worry we will reinstate your direct debit. I did not authorise this & I been trying to contact them via email phone Etc. Can’t get hold of them. So I have had no choice but to leave this review I hope the sort they selfs out as they are going to be losing customers.

No reliable bad service with very little help from staff Just promises excuses and no results.since the 18/2/22 without a w/m !1st they said only appointment available on the 1/3/22 the engineer came 4 hours late called me to complain about one way system and no parking outside my door (central London) and left .trying to communicate with them impossible .waiting for hours being pass from one to another .gave me another appointment for the 9/3/22!!! who knows if they find parking this time!!!!rubish company

Still haven't repaired , returned or replaced my phone. Total con then when you try to review or complain using there facebook page they block you and delete you comments pure shady

I tried to register a warranty for new boiler in England, UK today. Rang your customer service - they took my name and address but DID NOT TAKE BOILER SERIAL NUMBER and i was told the boiler is now registered. When i asked for confimation reference number - they did not have one and the customer service agent hung up. This happened 5 times. I had to ring the manufacturer who will be escalating this - Domestic and General are probably not keeping their side of Service Level Agreements with the Manufacturing company. Domestic and General Your customer service team needs to be sacked !!!

No delivery of fridge freezer to my in laws who have waited for seven weeks for the item!! Disgusting treatment of two 80yr olds.

Never buy a customer extended care plan from ApplianceOnline.com.au, that's my lesson learnt. A screw inside my dishwasher fell off because they became rusty. Rust is excluded from Domestic & General irrespective of any context. This is a screw inside the dishwasher that's meant to be rust-proof.

Been with them for years and previously had good service. The last 5 years have been dreadful. Im waiting on repair on washing machine since beg of nov still not resolved! Tumble drier needs replaced i have a 10kg black one they have tried to palm me off with a candy 6kg white ( how is that same spec) so matter still not resolved. Arrogant on the phone when you finally get thro to them after hours of being on hold . My rangemaster cooker could be repaired but they wanted to replace . Mine is dual fuel 110 wide and black gloss , integral grill in 2nd oven , handy rack on door and griddle plus a defrost facility. So far they have offered a 90 wide , a red one, an induction hob, a cream farmhouse one. None have a griddle, handy rack or integral 2nd grill in oven and defrost facility. So how is this the same spec. This has gone on since nov 2020 yes 2020! Im done and could have paid for my appliance ten times over. They dictate what you get, dont get back to you when you put a formal complaint in so im now taking this to the ombudsman as getting nowhere with customer services. Once its sorted im cancelling my policy. Dont touch them with a bargepole!

Never known a company like it, zero ownership. How on Earth they are still in business I don't know. I've been waiting 3 weeks for them to fox a dryer, excuses at every opportunity from them.

WORSE COMPANY EVER!! BEWARE Been with this company for years but when called out for a radiator leak, the engineer came out but refused to repair the leak as he said the condition wasn’t good in the property. There was a baby in the house with no heating for a couple of days but the engineer will not show any sympathy. It was only a five minutes repair I’ve done myself. After paying this company for years. Tried to ring the Domestic & General a few times and was put on hold for hours and then put my phone down. After trying for weeks finally got through to a complaint department then they refuse to refund me and disconnect my phone and cancel my policy too. Now I’m writing to the directors of the company to make them aware of the situation I hope they will help. Please stay away from this company the worst company ever once you need to call them out.

Cancelled all of my appliance cover, they are useless! Can’t call them or on hold for 35 minutes, engineer didn’t have parts, took weeks to order them. Came late, complaining about parking and left without fixing the washing machine. No one seems to be able to tell you what’s going on! I have had to buy a new washing machine as I can’t wait any longer! Not worth the stress!

Don’t waste your money on thinking you are getting a service with D&G. Waiting two months now on a replacement tumble dryer still haven't got it. They do not follow up on your complaints either. Terrible service. Getting one star is too good for them should be no stars!

A bad company that doesnt care whether you have a vulnerable person in the house or not. I would avoid as i have engineers out who just pass the buck, promised phone calls not made, shocking service.

Se ci fossero state 0 stelle sarebbe stato meglio, una truffa vera e propria. Ti dicono che coprono i costi delle riparazioni e ,nel caso in cui non fosse riparabile, ti sostituiscono l'elettrodomedistico pagando una percentuale del costo di quello nuovo. Avevo assicurato un frigo ad incasso, ebbene, si rompe, non si può riparare e mi propongono la scelta obbligata di un frigo nuovo che costa tantissimo ( ho visto il costo online dello stesso modello e il prezzo da loro era gonfiato a dismisura) e quindi mi costerebbe tanto quanto comprarne uno nuovo per i cavoli miei! Noj mi hanno dato scelta fra diversi modelli, ce ne sono tanti che costano meno, no o quella oppure ti arrangi. Vergognatevi!

Honestly, domestic in general is just a horrible service that do not seem to care!! They never pick up and keep passing me on to other services that I wait 2 hours just for them to not even pick up. It has been more than a month that I have been trying to get through to them!!!!

I have waited for 3 cancelled appointments and still waiting for my washing machine to be fixed. 6 weeks so far and it is beyond a joke. I will never take out their insurance again and don't try and phone them as they don't pick up.

Promised to repair a Hotpoint washer/dryer, given a 3 hour slot starting 7:40am which I was ready for, engineer didn't turn up at all, not just for the slot but for the whole day. Worse, 3 'live chats' through the day (hard to get through) said the engineer would definitely come that day.

WILL ONLY REFUND BY CHEQUE... CHEQUE FAILED AND WAS RETURNED UNPAID. STILL NO REFUND RECEIVED AFTER 5 WEEKS OF WAITING. I cancelled my iPhone insurance with Protect plus for £255 which was purchased through John Lewis. I was told I would receive a cheque in the post for £255 for the refund in December 2021. I received the cheque on end of January 2022 and paid it into my bank. This cheque failed and returned unpaid. Domestic and general stopped the payment. Still having to chase this refund. Is the company going bankrupt?

I urge people to find a different insurance company. Had an engineer out today after 2 weeks without a tv only to be told that the insurance company had fixed it before had bodged it (which was them) - instead of welding the clips on they used a glue gun and cut bigger holes in the back to fit. The man told us today that it was a fire hazard and could burst into flames at any point not only that but if my 1 yr old had 'tapped' the tv then it could have electricuted him! So glad it broke rather than the other 2!! We have always used D&G and no others. Didnt bother taking it away just condemmed it and told us not to plug it in - no explaination of what the next step is or what to do. Anyone know of any decent insurers that will do things properly
