“Booked a car for two weeks with the wrong pickup time, honest mistake from my side. We arrived with boat to Dénia at 13:15 and the took a taxi to Alicante. I arrived 6 hours later than the pickup time and my booking was cancelled and doyouspain kept all the money. The funny thing is the car I was going to take was still available at the car rent company. So basically I had to pay for the same car again. This is a deceiving business decision doyouspain has made to earn more money. They basically get to keep all the money and don’t give anything to the car renting company. They earn more money when people miss the booking time than when people actually make it to the booking. My advice is just do the search on doyouspain, but then contact the car renting company directly and they will for sure match and give you a better deal. I could not reach the customer service at all. For your own good and for your pocket avoid doyouspain at all costs.”

“DO NOT pre-PAY THEM. They left me stranded at Barcelona Airport on a rental I made on the 21st of May 2022 on line on a specified type of car I rented and paid in full with my credit car on line. They sent me a voucher and I took it to Gold Car rental (actual car rental) On arrival on June 5th in Barcelona Airport. Gold Car rental denied their voucher and told me that they have NOT received any payment from DoYouSpain.com and I was request to pay the rental again and to take the insurance. When I refused I was told to contact Do You Spain. When tried to call no one answer the phone. I was left my self and family stranded causing a great deal of stress and expenses. Have tried to get my money back but DYS refused to reply my emails.”

“Warning: Their Platinum Excess Waiver Full Protection is useless. Do not book with this company. The insurance they sell will not remove the excess deposit, so you must pay a €1350 deposit when you pick up the car. This is a scam, and nobody should use this third-party website. Instead, book the car directly with the rental company, so you don’t have to pay a deposit when you have paid the full insurance. I called their support five minutes after I booked the car to request a full refund because I was misled as it was not mentioned in the booking form that I would have to pay the €1350 deposit. The information about the deposit was only provided by email after I paid, obviously because they know that nobody would book a car with them if they said that there was a €1350 deposit to be paid when collecting the car. Their support is terrible, as they said there would be no way I could get a refund because I could just have read the small print in their terms and conditions. This company is nothing but a scam company, and I will now report to Visa and MasterCard and request my bank to do a chargeback because of fraud. Lesson learned, and in the future, I will always book direct instead of booking via third-party scammers Do You Spain Do You Spain: I will keep posting bad reviews until I get the refund. I guess you know who is going to be the loser here ;)”

“No car, lost my money, it’s a scam! It is the 2nd time I use this company and the first time was ok. Nonetheless the 2nd time when I arrive to collect my car it wasn’t available and I was told to contact DoYouSpain. It was almost impossible to find the phone number but eventually I did. I stayed on hold for 45 mins before I was disconnected. I eventually called a taxi. The next day I tried again to call the support line three times with the same result, 45 mins hold than disconnected. I tried to email them a few time than twitter…..nothing…. I never got the car that was hired for 9 days nor my money back. Despite the decent looking website, this is an absolute scam. Avoid at all cost!”

“Having used Goldcar via DoYouSpain probably over 30 times I believe I have a very good appreciation for their service. I have never had a problem. Goldcar is my preferred hire car company. Rather like using budget airlines everything works well as long as you understand and comply with the rules.”

“Disgraceful company who left me stranded in Milan airport with my 3 small children without a car, after initially accepting they were in the wrong and I was due a refund and compensation they soon backtracked and then started to ignore me. They effectively stole money from me because they did not provide the service I had paid for.”

“Worst company ever....they just steal your money...the policy in Ibiza airport is that you book the car and because you land late they simply cancel your reservation so they keep the money and the day after the real rental company like Goldcar say:it's their fault, we can do nothing...it's a legal fraud..”

“Do you Spain and Goldcar scam me 400€ in my trip to Gran Canaria. When I arrived... Surprise! The Insurance bought online was not valid if you do not have credit card. There was no alternative, only pay another 200€ Goldcard "good one" and of course you have to pay because the alternative was to lose the other 200€ for the 4 days rental. After fillings scammy government complain they gave me a garbage car that left me in the middle of nowhere because battery problem. And this was the first day. They fixed the problem so I was so disappointing that I did not want anymore so they bring it back and of course they didn't return me any money back for not using it. To date nobody has return any money... Pirates of the Caribbean. Avoid this SCAM!”

“Looks like Great offers! They dont tell you that you will be charged triple the amount when you go to collect the car. From €100 to €366!!!! And there is nothing you can do about it. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY”

“You are a rip off, We got to Malaga and was reused the car because we would not pay nearly 300 uros we were told my driving license was not good enough we needed an international license, we argued that no where does it state that our UK license was no longer valid and as We booked from uk there was nothing to say UK drivers needed to get this additional license, further more the person at the airport was rude and made it quite clear he was not intrested in that there was nothing on the doitspan website, when we called the telephone number we spoke to somene who said his name was Mathew hid employee number was 5000 and when we said the same he just said we no longer accept uk drivers license and when asked where on the website he said he didnt know”

“Auto en verzekering geboekt in België en betaald met creditcard Bij afhalen gisteren in de luchthaven bleek deze verzekering er geen te zijn. Omwille van het late aankomstuur en geen contact mogelijk met office do you spain taxi genomen naar competa ( ong 80 euro ) Uiteindelijk vandaag rechtstreeks bij een verhuurbedrijf een auto gehaald die een stuk goedkoper was ( verzekering incl) Zo wordt auto huren een heel kostelijke zaak Graag compensatie huurgeld auto, verzekering en daaraan gekoppelde taxirit Mij zijn ze als klant voorgoed kwijt Is de 2de keer dat ik bij do you spain boek, de 2de keer problemen en een ganse dag vakantie kwijt”

“Het zijn een bende klootzakken .sn brussels verandert de vluchturen en weg geld ,weg resevatie ,welke ik NOOIT KON HERBOEKEN. DIE SMEERLAPPEN HEBBEN NU GEANTWOORD MET LEUGENS. Vele mails en telefoons NOOIT RESPONS ook al was het maanden op voorhand. Wel kon ze vor vertrek zelf éen mail sturen voor een extra verzekering. Wie laat zo'n lafaards toe op de verhuur markt? “DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE! I REPEAT DO NOT RENT FROM THEM! I mistakenly selected the incorrect dates for my pickup. So I immediately tried calling the company to change the dates. They did not answer the phone for 2 hours! (And many other people keep saying the same thing. They are impossible to get ahold of. They don't even give you a contact email.) So because of the fact that I was unable to contact them, the booking began without me being able to pick up the car. And therefore the booking was labeled as a "no show" and then canceled. They refuse refunds even though it's their fault that the booking was a "No Show". So now I have already paid for this booking but is stil left without a car. It would be better just to flush the money down the toilet. They will not let you modify the Pick-up dates or times even though you selected the incorrect dates. Do NOT pay these people. You will regret it! THEY ARE SCAMMERS!”

“Позволю вам рассказать об одной нечистоплотной компании занимающейсся арендой машин в Испании. Это DOyouSpain. Машина была забукирована из дома Через DOyouSpain в Enterprice на десять дней в Барселоне. Когда мы пришли на стойку DOyouSpain нас начали оформлять и сняли с дебетной карты 722 евро. Затем проинформировали что заказанная машина относится к лакшери и потребовали дополнительно две кредитные карты. Их у нас не оказалось. На основании этого букирование отменено и деньги БЕЗВОЗВРАТНО остаются у DOyouSpain. С нами был маленький ребенок и к счастью мы получили аналогичную машину у Hertz. Для нас 722 евро это деньги и мы обратились в офис DOyouSpain с просьбой вернуть деньги тк мы не держали даже ключи от их машины. От DOyouSpain мы получили ответ в стиле ИДИТЕ ЛЕСОМ. Мой заказ DYS-41813248.при необходимости готов прикрепить-показать ваучер. Офис ведет себя не корректно и требуют убрать наши посты о воровстве с туристических ресурсов. В общем очень не советую иметь дело.”

“We are booked a car throuh the DoYouSpain website on 21.12.2021. and was charged 722.34 evros ( DYS 41813248). 22/12/2021 i could not pick up my car n Barcelona Airport, as i didn`t have any credit cards and i was refused to pay with my debit card. Reservation rules (provision of two credit cards) DoYouSpain sent after accepted our payment 722.34 euro! Money that I paid for the car booking before 8 th of January has not been refunded into my card. Please help to sort out this issue as soon, as possible. Because this looks dishonest and dodgy. P.S. I was travelling wit my eight year old child, and unfortunately this incident stressed my daughter and myself out!!!”

“This company, like others, take your booking and then you deal at the airport with Goldcars who are awful. They refuse to acknowledge the insurance u have and work hard to sell theirs. They didn't have car we asked for and we got a much smaller one. WE BROUGHT IT BACK FULL AND THEN THEY CHARGED US FOR PUTTING PETROL IN. THERE HAS BEEN NO COMMUNICATION ABOUT OUR COMPLAINT. DO NOT USE.”

“DoYouSpain war für unseren Mallorca-Urlaub meiner Frau und mir (53 und 58 Jahre) vom 20.09. bis 26.09.2021 Vermittler für einen Mietwagen Mini Cabrio der Fa. Click & Rent (Nähe Flughagen Palma). Aufgrund der uns unbekannten PIN für die Kreditkarte fielen 170 Euro Zusatzgebühren an, obwohl meine Frau als zweite Fahrerin eingetragen war und auch eine Kreditkarte hatte. Ohne diese Zahlung am Empfangstag hätten wir keinen Mietwagen erhalten. C & R will diesen Betrag nicht zurückzahlen und verweist auf die Geschäftsbedingungen (wo dieser Betrag legitimiert dargestellt ist). DoYouSpain antwortete bis heute, 28.11.2021, nicht auf unsere Anfrage (vor ca. sechs Wochen), warum dieses Geschäftsgebahren von C & R einfach so hingenommen wird. Die Portale sind voll von Warnhinweisen vor C & R und bei DoYouSpain sieht es auch nicht perfekt aus. Ein Trauerspiel!”

“Booked a car in Tenerife through DoyouSpain. Paid E664 for a Clio which seemed excessive but there was nothing else available. Price paid included "Platinum" comprehensive insurance. Surprised therefore when picking up car from Goldcar to be asked to pay again for insurance - about E388 including tank of fuel. Had to stump up or else I wouldn't be given keys. Turned out Clio was a clapped-out base model (40 thousand kilometers on clock) that smelt of tobacco, already had its fair share of knocks and the door frame was covered with adhesive from the many "your car is now clean" stickers that had been applied previously. Can't get sense out of DoyouSpain or Goldcar.”
