Ebay has raised their fees and it is not worth selling anything on eBay anymore. I sold and item for $200 plus shipping $28, plus tax equaling to $244. They will charge you selling fee on shipping and sales tax. Not sure if that’s legal. They should be charging fee only on the item sold. Two weeks later they are charging my account $18 for additional shipping. Don’t use their shipping, chose your own. It’s a scam site. You are better off selling on offer up or other app.

List items for auction.Ebay take a listing fee and introduce a buyer ..They have the opportunity to regulate the buying system by taking card details or some sort of deposit from buyers so they don’t back out and get away without paying .This is a simple process and pretty much every auction company in the world does this ..Ebay don’t and when the sale falls through they charge again for relisting ..unlike most auction companies worldwide ..If the buyer backs out via an auction they will re enter for no additional charge ..Not ebay I feel this is appalling on behalf of ebay and they are ripping people off ..

I bought a MacBook Pro M2 14” on eBay and paid in full. I did not see the item delivered in my mailbox nor it is anywhere near my mailbox on the same day and time where the tracking number says it was delivered in the mailbox. I sent a message to seller immediately after I didn’t find the item, asking for signature proof and copy of shipping label where it says it is my address. I never got reply from the seller with answers to my questions about the shipping label copy. I contacted eBay customer support explaining the situation, I wonder how can anyone know that a laptop can fit into a mailbox. USPS confirmed it as seller fraud who sent 3ounce weight of package to a different address in same zip code with that tracking number. eBay supervisor I talked to did not care to resolve by getting my answers about macId, shipping label if the seller sent to my address, instead they closed the appeal in favor of fraud seller. I reported this to my financial institution. I suspect eBay itself is involved in this scam after reading similar reviews about eBay on internet.

Fraudulent activity committed by eBay, a well-known online marketplace. I am a seller on eBay, and I am currently facing a distressing situation where eBay has allegedly facilitated the transfer of both my money and goods to a buyer, leaving me at a significant financial loss. I strongly believe that this incident constitutes a major scam, and I am seeking justice in this regard. The transaction proceeded initially without any apparent issues until the buyer requested a return. I duly followed eBay's prescribed return process, promptly initiated the return, provided the required return tracking information, and awaited the buyer's return shipment. To my profound surprise and dismay, eBay proceeded to refund the payment to the buyer without my consent or any valid justification. I firmly believe that eBay's actions in this matter exhibit a clear disregard for the principles of fairness and transparency that should govern online marketplaces. I am of the opinion that eBay has failed in its duty to protect sellers and uphold the integrity of its platform. It is my contention that eBay's alleged fraudulent conduct has resulted in both a significant financial loss and the misappropriation of my sold goods. As a seller who has adhered to eBay's policies and fulfilled all obligations, I am left with no recourse but to seek legal intervention to rectify this matter. I have taken the following steps to support my claims and substantiate the allegations against eBay: 1. Gathering Evidence: I have meticulously collected all relevant documentation related to the transaction, including copies of emails, receipts, shipping information, return policies, and communication records with both eBay's customer support and the buyer. These records demonstrate the sequence of events and highlight the apparent irregularities and unauthorized actions taken by eBay. 2. Consultation with Legal Experts: I have engaged the services of legal professionals with expertise in business and consumer law to advise me on the appropriate legal actions to pursue against eBay. They have assessed the case and confirmed the presence of valid grounds for legal recourse. In light of the above, I respectfully request that you consider the gravity of this matter and authorize further legal proceedings. I believe that a comprehensive examination of the evidence will reveal the alleged fraudulent activities of eBay and enable a just resolution that safeguards the rights and interests of sellers.

I am writing this review to thank Brian, a very special person in the Ebay Leadership Team. After being a faithful and loyal customer of Ebay for almost 20 years, this January I went through a very unpleasant experience. A very expensive kitchen appliance (Vorwerk Thermomix TM6) I had bought from an Ebay seller 2 months earlier stopped connecting to Internet and I sent it to the manufacturer for repair. The manufacturer called me immediately to let me know that the appliance was part of a lot of 288 similar items that were stolen whilst in transit in Belgium. The seller had clearly disappeared with my money and the initial customer service advisors weren't very helpful. Being outside the 30 day guarantee they advised to raise a claim with the credit card, but then, strangely, Ebay fought against the credit card charge back "tooth and nail" so the credit card dispute ended up being rejected. I tried every possible avenues with the credit card, including raising a "Section 75" claim, but they were alway able to find a reason/excuse not to pay, advising to resolve the issue directly with Ebay. In the end of March I called Ebay and explained all the above. The advisor was very nice and put me through to Brian and, for the first time, I had the feeling that someone truly cared about understanding the whole story and helping me to find a resolution. Since then Brian has taken ownership of the issue asking me to provide documents, evidence etc. and kept me informed every week about the status of the refund. He was like a real "guardian angel", it rarely happened in my life to find someone that truly cared. If you should have problems with a purchase on Ebay I seriously hope thst you fill find someone like Brian. Yesterday I got the final confirmation of the refund and today the money is back on the card. I cannot thank Brian enough. I hope Ebay will seriously reward him for taking such a dedicated and attentive care of its customers in trouble, going the extra mile to help and support them. I hope Ebay will also rethink some of its policies. The 30 day guarantee is probably good enough for standard transactions etc. but in the case of stolen goods, for example, there must be more flexibility and care to protect the customers from what is real fraud that unfortunately can take place anywhere nowdays, including Ebay. I hope this review is not too long and can be of help to other customers in similar trouble. Brian, thanks so much again for everything, you have been a true support and a guiding star in the middle of all these very unfortunate circumstances/events!!! I wish you all the very best for your future and career in the company!!! You are a living example of how customers should really be treated and cared for!!!

I was suspended and they cannot tell me why! Sort of like getting a ticket but don’t know the offense. I haven’t sold or bought anything in over a year with no complaint from buyer that I know of and payments were tied to current credit card. Their loss deleted account will never use again.

Sellers please avoid eBay for high priced items. My account is 15 years old and my last high priced item was sold over 90 days ago so eBay decided to hold the funds for 30 days(and that is when you have done nothing wrong as a seller). You have to wait a whole month to get your money and for nothing. I am not a business just an individual seller getting rid some of my personal things so you would think that you do that please you needed money right? So then I've gone through a chat session with a rep pretty much repeating generic sentence out of their QA saying it's to protect buyer. So what about sellers? You are taking 15% commission and doing nothing good for us. You think this kind of sh***y platform is worth 15% commission out of your sales? Avoid at all cost!

Ebay customer service is the worst! I've had technical issues with my account for 5 months with the IT team. Talked with at least 10 different Ebay representatives and all promises to get it fixed and call back on a follow-up, 6 months later issues still not fixed and after numerous promises to call back to get the issues fixed ZERO calls and ive spent at least 7 hours on the phone with them. Ebay could care less about the sellers except for changing fees to the seller

Seller Id: retail_overstock The seller above did not return my money greedy seller, warning do not spend your money Dear eBay Customer Service, MAY 1, 2023 I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration with my recent shopping experience on eBay. I purchased the Sound Oasis sleep support insomnia world's smallest white noise machine travel from a seller less than two weeks ago, but unfortunately, the item did not meet my expectations. I received the item in April 19 delivery date was April 17 As a customer, I rely on the assurance of being able to return an item if it does not meet my satisfaction. However, the seller has declined my request for a return, despite the fact that it is within the 14-day return window. I am extremely disappointed with the seller's refusal to accept my return, and I feel that my rights as a customer have been violated. I have made every effort to resolve this issue with the seller, but unfortunately, they have been unresponsive. I urge eBay to intervene in this matter and help me obtain a refund for the item. I believe that eBay has a responsibility to ensure that sellers comply with their return policies and that customers receive the support they need to resolve any issues. I have always trusted eBay as a reliable online marketplace, but this experience has left me feeling let down and frustrated. I hope that eBay will take swift action to resolve this matter and restore my confidence in their platform.

Some of eBay Sellers are genuine and very decent. But there are some sellers on eBay who are extremely rude and you can't trust them. I was giving a barcode from a handbag seller. I took the barcode over to the appropriate place where the parcel was been held. The man in the shop where the parcel was told me it was not the correct barcode. I went home. I went to the shop numerous times. I then texted the seller on the second text. She told me I can't help you anymore. I've done all I could to accommodate you. She was extremely rude. As a seller. She should be ashamed of herself. She should not be a seller. She should do another business where she won't have to liaise with the public after texting her so many times I emailed eBay. Got no answer from them whatsoever. I was into minds to get in touch with action fraud. Anyone would? I thought this was definitely afraud. Not my fault. I had gone so many times to the shop where the parcel was. He told me the barcode was not correct. What was I to think the seller told me on eBay that I had told other sellers on eBay with fraud. Not only me. Lot of my neighbours and my neighbourhood. Tell me that eBay sellers are fraud. I didn't say anything. I just thought with a barcode not been correct it was fraud one of the eBay sellers in Bedfordshire I ordered a blouse. It came back totally wrong size and also not the blouse shown on eBay. I'll send the parcel back. I didn't get a refund. How shameful? I'm sure the seller got the blouse he didn't refund me and the question. Did eBay refund me? No, I didn't get a refund. So please don't use eBay. The service used to be good once upon a time. I must say they're sellers are extremely rude as I say not all of them some of them. They should do another business like a pedicure or something else. They shouldn't be selling on eBay

I have been using eBay for over 16 years. I haven't sold anything for a while but I had some stuff I wasn't using so I put it on eBay. They took £21.98 from my bank account for the listing, the item then sold for £560 plus £10 postage. I checked my payments on eBay they had taken a further £76 off, so I contacted eBay and spoke to a lovely lady polite and professional who told me that was right. Have the heads of eBay lost their f@£&ing minds 15% charge to sell on eBay. I'll never ever use eBay again

Avoid selling on eBay, if you have a issue just suck it up because it’s sooooo difficult to deal with their useless customer service and it takes forever to get the slightest amount of information (which is always miscommunicated) none of them have a clue! Just give up and spend that 2 hours talking to a brick wall instead it’s way more productive.

Last year, I sold a very expensive item through Ebay. I had bought a robot arm off Kickstarter and ended up never using it. So it was brand new, except one of three boxes had been open. I ended up listing it on Ebay, and slowly reduced the price until someone showed interest. I had paid $2000 for the robot arm, but ended up selling it for $1500, which also included $100 of shipping, plus Ebay's $200 cut, so all told I made about $1200. I shipped it. A few weeks later I heard back from the buyer that some components were broken, others were missing. I told him it wasn't broken when I sent it, so he should contact Fedex to place a claim. In addition the missing component was part of the unopen box, so he should contact the manufacturer. A long argument ensued, and for a few reasons I started suspecting a scam. Regardless, he asked for a refund, and I denied it, so he opened a dispute with Ebay. Ebay immediately asked me to reimburse the item and send him a return shipping label, which I also again denied, sending them all the evidence I had linking this case to potential scam. It all went silent for months. Never once did they reach out to me asking for clarification. Then, 9 months after the sale, I got an email telling me they would debit my account for the full amount. While I had received €1051, they debited my account for €1286 (I sold the item in the US but my account is in euro). So not only did they refund the buyer without asking them to send back the item, they also took more money than I originally made. I made many attempts to reach their customer service to get this solved. I did reach it, but "there was nothing they could do". The one time I magically made it through to someone on the dispute team I was told that they had never seen so many escalations on a case. I was hopeful, but the next day I received another email saying they were maintaining the decision. They recommended I speak with the buyer to get the product back. I told them that 1) I couldn't access my account (they recommended I just open another one) and 2) the buyer had sold the item according to his reviews (for $15, when he bought it for $1500). All it all, this was my first time selling after being a buyer for 15 years, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Their processes are obscure and unfair. No wonder the company is slowly sinking.

Kept my selling money for 10 days giving absolute rubbish reasons for the " Hold " on the account. Buyer paid promptly , EVRI picked up as scheduled & delivered 4 days later. Statement from Ebay followed giving the various reaons for the hold. How many customers money is fraudently held on these pretences earning Ebay no doubt a lot of money in interest !! DO NOT USE try gumtree instead.
