I sold a item on eBay for 450$ the customer wanted to return the item, i accepted his return,,, eBay told the customer he can keep the item ,, so he basically got the item for free. And me on the other hand got screwed over over big time. I called eBay and they can’t even give me half or even a quarter of the items price.... EBAY SUCKKKKS

Ebay not the same . When you look for women's clothes and shoes etc all you see are companies based in China selling poor quality items. Have purchased twice before and items received were total rubbish and went in the bin. Puts me off ever buying clothes now on ebay. Why does ebay allow these companies to use their site.

Ebay was a lot more fun in the days when it was an auction and you got the rush from winning a bid war than the now everybody has their own business selling venture posted. Not for me any more!!

Customer service is rude, not willing to resolve problems and tell you off. They suspended my account for no reason. I tried to login from another country, then they said it wasn't me (of course I knew it was me), and they say they refuse to reinstate my account and refused to provide feedback or help reinstate it after wanting to prove that the account belongs to me. When I want to speak to their managers, they hand up on me! If you did this at Amazon for example, they would almost beg you to stay with them and sell on their platform, but Ebay is pushing its customers, users and sellers away, and don't value them at all! Management should really take this seriously and take further actions, as this will not end well and people will turn away from ebay on the longer term... My suggestion is for other users, sellers, etc. is to try alternative platforms where they love to have you! Ebay does not value it's customers and sellers, so be prepared when you deal with Ebay...

I have been with Ebay for years I have been with Ebay for years, I have sold and purchased. Lately they are going down hill I've had 3 people scam me of thousands of dollars and Ebay doesn't do anything to help they leave it to you and wash there hands off. Leaving you hanging dry. As long as they get their fees. The worst when I first started they were great to resolve issues but now. Your better off giving your stuff away because the scammers know how to abuse the system and Ebay let's them get away with it. if you're looking to sell or buy go through Amazon. At least Amazon is fair and has the ducks in a row. Ebay has gone to the gutter. better off with craigslist or some other sources. stay away from Ebay. I'm surprised no one has started a class action lawsuit against them yet. if they do I'm definitely joining them I have a lot of documents to backup the lawsuit

If I could give it a negative 12 I would. I ordered a ceramic black bear cookie jar. the seller was an Asian company. I needed it for a gift. The item came quickly. However it was the wrong item and it was broke. I received a Honey Pot cookie jar. The bee was broken off. I called ebay. They said I had to wait until the seller contacted me. Two days later the seller writes in broken english, "we noticed you receive wrong item. Please send a picture. I am unable to answer the email. I call Ebay again. They say i have to wait 5 days and then have Ebay itself resolve the issue. I was unable to answer the email as i checked out as a guest. All the while my intention was just to reorder the correct item. Time was running out as it was a gift. I waited and today called Ebay. The lady said I needed to get approval from the seller for the return. I again say I cannot send them any email as the email wont take my answer. In addition I did not have the capability to send a picture. I do not have a camera phone. The consultant basically talked to me like I was stupid and how in the world don't i have a iphone. Suggesting I use a friend's phone. I was getting upset at this time as All I wanted was a replacement and I would have sent it back a week ago if they would have let me. she just said they could not refund me. I am now out 40 bucks and do not have a gift for my friend. I told her i suggest she post that there are no returns without a picture. She hung up on me. NICE JOB EBAY.

I have been with ebay 8yrs and have been swindled on 5 occasions, 2 time i got refunded and 3 times i got shafted by a crooked seller and shafted again by ebay, they let any and every crook try and con you out of your hard earned money and then make it impossible to contact them. I have been with Amazon the same length of time and never conned, i know i can shop without worrying about being conned.

I have very bad experience with ebay customer support, as they did not do anything to help. Refused to help in anything so I lost money, my item ( as a seller) . Buyer sent back the item ( which I refunded) to wrong address. item was delivered and signed by someone ( at wrong address) . Royal malil refused to go back and redeliver to another address as item was taken by somebody. ebay refused to help . ( my returned address was written properly on ebay site but they are saying it was missing). so seems item disappeared, ebay refused to help. of course its not Royal email problem as they delivered. Looks luke scam. Do not use ebay , as its really not proper organised platform

No protection for the seller. Summary below of my experience 1. We correctly advertised the item in line with Ebays policies and the item was advertised as described. Ebay later confirmed the item was advertised correctly following a review. 2. The buyer had buyers remorse and returned the item. 3. Ebays policy is to allow a refund because they “have not seen the item”, even though they confirmed it was advertised accurately 4. The item should have been returned by signed for delivery, this did not happen 5. The item was returned damaged, however as ebay “have not seen the item” their policy is to do nothing. We were told we should budget for losses when using Ebay to sell items. 6. We should seek damages via a third party as ebay do not offer any sellers protection in these circumstances. (not possible as our contract is with ebay not the seller) 7. We have requested details of how to raise a formal complaint 7 times and not yet been given these details. Awful experience you never get one person handling the issue either so everytime you email in you get a different and conflicting response. I think this independat review site gives a more accurate picture https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/ebay.co.uk

I clicked on an item to purchase only to realize it does not ship to my location. I had no way of knowing that prior to purchase, and now the only way I can cancel the item order is to reach out to the seller and have them cancel it? Poor service, with information necessary to order being withheld. I'll happily take my business to Amazon if this is how eBay sees fit to organize their website.

terrible service. withheld my payments and i’m still waiting a week later for no reason. The time spent on the phone to them and Paypal (as ebay kept blaming Paypal) is stressful and costly. Lets hope they release the money that we legitimately have by their estimate of tomorrow 3.15 jokers when the funds were available last week

My FIRST and LAST time using E-bay. WTH? This company is so amateur. I went to e-bay and bought a Spiderman suit costing $96 which included postage. NOW......... when I filled out my order on E-bay it gave you a section for billing address and delivery address. Also, it asks you to include your telephone number. I completed ALL of the latter. When I filled out my delivery address, I even made a comment about the delivery address and billing adress in order to clarify that I wanted the delivery address to match my current residence. I eveen stated that I would like the delivery guy to take my number as I paid the extra for home delivery. Now I see that seller has sent to my billing address that I do not live at, did NOT provide my telephone number, and sent it by regular post and NOT direct home delivery. There is CLEARLY a disconnect between E-bay and its buyers. It is clear that there is a disconnect between the company and the sellers. Shame really, the reputation of E-bay is all but gone as is clear from many forums. I guess hindsight would have been good in my case. I wish I had done research and I would NEVER have used E-bay. The problem is that I could not find what I wanted on Amazon and chose this Mickey Mouse company instead. What kind of a company does not provide e-mail? What kind of a company only has call back if you live in one of 4 countries? Love the question: How did the company communicate, by live chat, e-mail or telephone? What if I am in Kuwait and neither of these three choices is an option? Amazon all the way.

Idiots run the company. Numerous errors in design make for a risky venue compared to what could be. Automated returns mean that any idiot can borrow anything or change parts. There is apparently no provision for seller expertise or experience. I have been there over 20 years, so don't argue. Ebay was there before Amazon and is 15 times smaller now. They didn't listen to the veteran sellers. Now they can't even spell correctly, just look at some of the auto parts listing forms. Its obvious there is no proper management or leadership and never has been. I remember when they removed the ability to rate buyers - that was the deciding crippling quackery. Instead of healing their self inflicted headache, they cut out their brain.

eBay is only out to take your cash! Customer Protection but ZERO Seller Protection!!!!! Sell an item as described, buyer tries, tests, changes mind, returns under false pretences in a damaged condition and despite pleading with eBay they issue a full refund??? Crooked to the Hilt!!!!
