I'm buying the laptop purely on price. I'm not impressed with the customer service I've received but as I'm buying for someone else and can't find the same spec elsewhere I'm having to use ebuyer. It's very poor to cancel someone's order on a Sunday and give them no means of contacting your company. Yes you wanted to check my ID and wanted a copy of my passport email to you. I feel you should have highlighted this at time of purchase and given me 1-2 days to comply, then consider cancelling my order. Then what you should have then done is re created my order for me instead of just telling me I can order again now if I want. I'm so glad I've order this for my father in law as he would never had understood the process or be able to provide the documents you require as he has no scanner or camera on his mobile. His laptop will now be delayed and there's no offer to honor the original delivery date! Not impressed to be honest in such a competitive market you should be doing better than this.

Hi Ross, Within our business sector online credit card fraud and identity theft are threats that we as a business and you as a customer face on a daily basis, and results in both ourselves and our customer losing precious time and money. We ask for identification in order to confirm that the customer placing the order is in fact the person they claim to be, and is not simply someone who has stolen an innocent persons identity and/or credit card. We check your ID against the latest identity verification services and you can rest assured that none of your personal identification details will be stored or shared by Ebuyer in any way. Your ID will be destroyed as soon as we have verified your identity. I can confirm I have updated your delivery date to next working day, which due to the New Year will now be 2nd January 2014. I hope you can accept my sincerest apologies for having to request this information but we do this to protect all of our customers from the growing threat of identity and credit card theft. I do not like to register my details to make a one off purchase. I do not have to do this when I buy in a shop! I will now cancel my registration.

I'm trying to make an order since last Sunday-they've cancelled it twice, asked me to email scanned copy of my passport and utility bill, paypal service on this web shop doesn't work like you expect and I am sure that my kids will not have the computer for this Christmas .........:( I've spent over £500 and how they treat me

I was very disappointed with the billing process. I changed payment cards but then my new card address was different from my account billing address (which I had never updated so maybe paper bills were still going there) BUT YOU DON'T SEE YOUR BILLING ADDRESS UNLESS YOU REVIEW YOUR ORDER. You can't change your billing address except in the middle of paying for an order, and ebuyer doesn't tell you the billing address at the time of the order. You only find out when your order is on hold, so Christmas is a bad time to discover all this. Aargh!

This company uses Yodel, possibly the worst delivery company in the UK. The first delivery was left on the back doorstep, even though we were in at the time and a signature was required. Yesterday's delivery was left on the front doorstep, even though we were out. Thankfully it was not stolen. Yesterday, as those in Devon were aware, was a day of torrential rain and high winds. The package was soaked through, and again no signature was taken, even though one was required. By more luck than judgement, the contents inside were only damp and inside their boxes, turned out to be dry. Ebuyer, please dump Yodel, before I am forced to dump you.

Hi Michael, I am very sorry to hear this, we have a contact with Yodel to which this has to be delivered to the addressee, they are unable to leave without a signature as per our contract. I have passed this over to Yodel with your order number as a complaint to ensure this is taken up with the driver and ensure this does not happen again. Order laptop and it kept saying declined card. Phone bank and they had tried 5 times. Banks fraud section said they have not declined card for any reason. Phoned ebuyer and changed card and that declined 7 times. Bank said they hadn't declined. Spoke to management and they just kept saying it wasn't them. Deffinately is ebuyer they do give a service they promise.... Don't use them poor service.

I have had the most miserable experience, ordering desktop computer equipment from Ebuyer. I began the process nine days ago. My first order came back saying my card had been declined. I ordered again. I was then told I'd been selected for random checking of personal details. I submitted the required information. I was then told the required information hadn't been received. I submitted it again. I was eventually told the information was satisfactory and I could submit my order again. I had to re-do the entire order. I submitted it. I was then told my card had been declined. I have now re-submitted it. God knows whether I'm going to end up going round the entire circle all over again. The experience has been frankly awful. I have wasted a week and a half in the process. I have spent hours doing it. And I'm no nearer getting the equipment I've ordered. You MUST do something about your customer service. Chris Smith

With regards to the payment been declined this is not something that Ebuyer can advise on, it is not in Ebuyers interest to decline any payments, payment is declined by the bank. If this is declining I would advise to contact the bank directly. I can advise that customer security is paramount to Ebuyer and online fraud is unfortunately very common. I know its picky but Crucial UK get my items to me next day even when i buy saver delivery. Ebuyer NEVER get items to me next day when buying saver. After adding £20 delivery for larger items. Its cheaper from AMAZON.

Hi John, I am sorry you are unhappy with the delivery prices on our site, we do offer next day delivery and pre noon next day delivery, however, there is a charge of £9.99. After nearly a decade of service with them, they failed to honor a return because I missed a deadline while on an extended holiday. So much for loyalty. It was cheap too.
