“My experience resulted in 7 quotes with varying price per watt, equipment selection, warranty durations, and installation benefits / guarantees. The annual production estimates were also wide ranging. EnergySage provided a platform that enabled me to have long message conversations with multiple installers for over a year. When the time came to make a choice I was able to make an appointment to talk to my assigned EnergySage mentor who provided helpful feedback and advice. EnergySage is a good tool, but it could be better. I wish there was more history information about past installations in my area, who installed them, the price, the system size, real world annual production numbers. Also, I would like more installer specific data about the installers to help establish credibility. Also, adding some science based assessment tools to help customers estimate their solar need and proposed system performance would be awesome. Overall, it was a good experience.”

“Wow. Energy Sage saved me from making an uninformed decision about "going solar." My research into this complex new world was tainted by biased information. I couldn't seem to escape sales pitches at every turn. Wherever I went for answers, someone was trying to sell me on their piece of the action. Then I discovered Energy Sage - a solar roofing information clearinghouse with no "dog in the hunt." They got their start with funding from the US Department of Energy with one mission: to help spread the word to consumers about the benefits of solar roofing. I was assigned an Energy Sage representative, Maria Kiley, who had several conversations with me about my particular set of circumstances. Maria helped me to understand the difference between leasing and owning, whether or not to include a battery for storage, how to recoup the federal tax credit, etc. Afterward, I received the link to a dashboard, which provided me with side-by-side estimates from half a dozen companies with significant experience installing solar roofing in my region of the U.S. Maria and I had a follow-up conversation in which she answered all of my questions about the estimates. If I hadn't found Energy Sage, I likely would have chosen the company that does the most advertising in my area. And that would not have been the best choice, as it turns out. Not by a long shot. I'm a big fan of Energy Sage. I'd give them six stars, if I could!”

“Saved me a ton of money, quotes neatly and honestly displayed, at least the contractor I picked was reputable, honest and fair even with a few changes. The local guy looked at their quote and stated " that's a fair aggressive quote "”

“We found 3 bids originally. We worked to narrow down a feasible size system then worked to meet a budget. $1.88/kwh was achieved. It took multiple tweaks and comparisons. 1 company with a 4.9 of 5 stars rating which does all work in house with employees, not subcontractors, met our needs. We entered into a contract. Now we wait to see how things progress. Company gets paid in 3 stages as work progresses. Gave $500 discounts per veteran in house, we have 3. We are excited. EnergySage consultant helped as I bounced ideas and questions off him. No installation yet to share. We are just starting the process.”

“EnergySage did everything that their information said they would do. Nicole was very helpful and ready with more in depth information when I had questions. She was on time when we had a talk sceduled and was always prepared. Since I have not yet received my panels or any work done I can't send photos. But so far my experieince has been excellent. The installation has been tentatively set for mid July so we will see then what information we have to share.”

“Energy sage found me the best 5 options for what I wanted, I also reached out to others on my own and it turned out energy sage was correct on its recommendation for installers also appreciate the research I could do on panels and companies. The solar panel game is pretty overwhelming with options and devices energysage helped tremendously”
