It's a little pricey and can be very slow at peak times, not as fast as advertised. Very annoying that speed becomes even slower when 50% of allowance is used.

The system is poor. As I ordered online there was no explanation of "lag" which effectively means that my VPN drops and online gaming is pointless I feel stuck in an expensive contract that I am getting virtually no use out of. AND setting up the router to a wireless network is virtually impossible (see various online forums for the problems encountered, although it seems that the odd few people manage to do it simply by plugging in?)

We feel we were tricked into believing that the system would be adequate for our needs. Since having it installed,the only way we can make it work for us is to have a restrictor on the router, to stop guests using anything other than very basic needs, ie email. We have holiday guests on and off throughout the year, with long periods without guests. Despite this, our allowance regularly runs out just 1 or 2 weeks into the month, despite the fact that we do not even use the system ourselves. We have had to have a separate internet installation fitted from a company in our village, to use for our own needs, and have the europasat just for our holiday guests. This is the most expensive internet we have ever had, yet it is, as I have said, virtually unusable. the 20 mbps may be fast, but we can't take advantage of it, as it uses the allowance too quickly. OUr connection from the village is only 3 mbps but we can do everything we need with this, including even streaming tv. We believe that your service is totally unusable and is being mis sold. We have tried contacting customer help but have basically been told it is our problem. When we submitted the required speed tests etc to prove we were restricting the use and still having problems, our emails were ignored. We feel completely trapped and would cancel today if we hadn't been forced to sign up for 2 years. We advertise to our holiday guests that there is free wi-fi, yet most of the time this is not true, and it is very embarrassing for us.

I have a holiday home in southern Spain with a Europasat satelite insatllation. When a computer crash occured I had to install everything again. With the incredible support and patience of Europasat customer support we managed to get everything up and running again. All by phone and step by step. Since installation i have been having frequent speed drops from the 20mbps down to around 1.5mbps. Support have investigated on a number of occasions, and i have been given every excuse from dish out of alignment, i have changed satellites which involved changing the transciever (involving significant travel costs for myself) until finally it was agreed it was network conjestion at which point SES used the weak excuse that capacity will vary from time to time due to demand. Given the technology can deliver a constant 20mbps, to have insufficient server capacity to meet demand is inexcusable. I can accept some degredation but 1.5mbps is totally unacceptable. Furthermore, i feel like I was mis-sold as i clearly explained as it is for holiday home usage, i needed to downgrade during wintertime as i only use the service during summer months which i was told was no problem at all. What they neglected to mention was there is a fine of 1 month charge at the higher rate to downgrade, so i feel totally ripped off. Additionally, on the billing side, for no apparent reason, on occasion the system fails to debit my card correctly even though there are adequate funds in the account, then the system threatens to disconnect my service until i manually apply the payment (from the same card), once i have had to call the accounts dept to check what is going on. Why cant accounts deal with your own system failures rather than relying on the customer to resolve Europasats problems. On a positive note, when operating at capacity the service is excellent, and the hardware is solid and high quality. Had i known what i know now, on balance, i would have chosen to remain with telecom italia. Whilst they could only deliver 6mbps, at least it was constant and did not suffer significant degradation and was never rendered unusable as my SES broadband is when it drops to 1.5mbps. I moved to an area where I couldn't get broadband by telephone line so I searched the internet for a company who could supply a satellite broadband system and I came across Europasat. Very impressed when I contacted them for information, they were so helpful. I placed my order and it arrived very quickly. The instructions for assembly and mounting were really good and I installed the dish and set it up myself without any problems. I have been very impressed with the company and the service they give and I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Generally good but Netflix films freeze the picture frequently until I move the mouse. This does not happen with any other film site.

Fantastic team. We arranged payment through the Access Broadband Cymru scheme. Europasat were very helpful and the equipment arrived without issue. The installation team were fab. The system works really well and meets our day-to-day needs perfectly. The only thing that's missing is the ability to buy a boost. We would like to be able to pay extra to buy maximum extra band width and unlimited data for a week say, when we have the grandchildren to stay. It encourages them to come and they use all the available data in no time which leaves is with nothing, having to buy a basic reset. Generally, we're very happy with it though and it got us online when no other option was available.

The whole process, from the initial e-mail enquiry, through the follow-up responses to queries, the arranging to undertake a test run, the placing of the order, the delivery and finally the installation, has been conducted in a very friendly and professional manner. What I thought might be a fraught process, has been relatively pain free and I was able to get on and use the internet without any problems. Many thanks..

Speeds are slower than advertised. Sometime we loose incoming completely. Not very happy and have been considering alternative options

It works very well overall but can be a little slow at times. I would use it again in another location where landline broadband is poor

The system works well once we got it up and running after a few teething problems. We had to guess at the usage level at the start and are probably on the wrong package now. I was offered one for £50 a month and double the volume for another £10. I wish I had taken that up now instead, but a higher usage package now seems to be much more expensive. I've found it impenetrable to work out who to speak to about this to get any answer other than it will cost a lot more to increase the volume now.
