They might sell you a car with hidden faults (such as a faulty turbo in my case). Be aware that if you need to take the car back due to a mechanical fault... 1) Their warranty is not worth the paper its written on. You'll still end up paying most of the cost of repairs and all cost of parts. They charge rip off prices in those repairs such as £236.03 for an oil change. 2) They won't provide a courtesy car so you'll have to pay for your own replacement transport during the months that you are without a working car. 3) They won't allow you to leave your faulty car at their car park (even though its large). They insist you tow it to them on the day they look at it. 4) They will drag their feet for months making you wait just to look at it (and charge you fees for doing so). 5) They will be rude, helping to increase your stress levels considerably for something that is not your fault.

Bought a Fiat 500 Abarth from the Treforest branch in Cardiff in August 2019. Took it back to them in November 2019 as the gearbox was whining in 3rd and 4th. They took the gearbox out, stripped it and replaced most of the internal components after having to get a lot of parts from Italy. Got the car back the week before Christmas so without a car for 6 weeks. All seemed ok for about another month or so but then the whine came back again, still in 3rd and 4th. Took the car back to Cardiff branch and a technician agreed there was a problem again. I was told to drive it for another 2 weeks and if it got worse to book it in to be repaired again. Did get worse so car was left with them on the 11th of March and told it would be ready at the latest by 20th of March. Then lockdown came in and even though the sales department was open no-one would tell me the score with my car. I can get no answers from my phone calls or emails and up to date have been without my car for 84 days this year and 41 days last year. I've made 26 phone calls to them with nobody having the decency to answer the bloody phone. Shoddy customer service all round. Would never ever deal with bunch of clowns again. Avoid like the plague.

Okay, we are in lockdown but other dealerships are offering good customer service. In over 12 weeks I have got absolutely nowhere with my enquiries. I would give NO stars if I could.

Excellent. I have bought a car in the past and was very pleased. Just in the process of buying another and again service really good. Cannot fault them.

Absolutely awful. Sold me and my mum cars and BOTH are broken and have needed to have work done every month for the past 3 years but we can’t return them or anything as we’re paying on finance.

Well I just went to trade in an insignia that’s I bought from the Chester branch a couple of years ago, only to be told by the dealer that it was a category 5 writeoff in the past, so I was sold this car under false pretences. Beware of these bandits

The workshop service is outstanding all work done properly and at reasonable costs, I HIGHLY recommend this company. The service manager Craig is very knowledgeable and very helpful if you need help. My mother in law died of cancer and we needed the car servicing we were 500 miles North and he bent over backwards to help us and even did it whilst we waited. This is true old fashioned service in a modern world.

I am me George wade on the 20.3.20.20 i was just looking at cars i was on my day of pulled in to Hyundai gateshead it was nice to be able to walk round no one on your back trying to sell you a car i had a look round then i asked one of the sales staff if i could get the keys to have a look at I10 There was no problem he showed me two cars the staff were fantastic from the manager to all the sales staff so polite asked if i would like a cup of tea there was no stress felt like iwas at home all the staff that passed asked if i needed anything it was a nice experience in the end i did buy a car i would recommend anyone to buy a car from Hyundai gateshead. This should be your flagship. Your company should send people from other dealerships to do training at this dealership i would rate this dealership over a hundred this is the first time buying a car no stress i will recommend friends to go there when you think the staff must be under with the corna virus Very professional yours sincerely George wade. .

Where to start...6 months in with a DS3 purchased from them and whole engine completely malfunctioned 4 months out of its warranty,3 years left on the PCP deal and ABSOLUTELY no help whatsoever from the branch, quoted me £11.5k to repair a £9k car at the time. Through nearly a month of chasing and me doing all the work we got a discount to get the repairs done, they lost my service book so wanted to void any discount to repair the car, so it was only when I told them how to do their job they pulled their finger out (by getting them to ring up the previous Citroen garage). Incompetent after sales then charged me 3 times the amount due to not being trained on how to use a “new” system, literally had no money to pay any bills in my bank for 2 weeks whilst they sat back and did nothing to help. Have lied about what MOT criteria is required to get non mandatory fixes through, I was quoted £500 to replace a whole DRL... took to my local garage who found it to be a lose wire, billed me £40 for their time to get it fixed. BEYOND dissatisfied with Evans Halshaw... how they sleep at night I don’t know, right from the bottom to the management there is no interest for the customer whatsoever, sad thing is this isn’t all of the issues we’ve had with them... AVOID AVOID AVOID!

If I can give 0 rating I would. Awful, Negligent, Irresponsible and Careless are the some of the words I would use to describe them. They called me to inform the part has arrived and that I can bring my car in, booked my appointment for Friday 9am to pickup my car at 4pm. Dropped it off at around 8.45am and was not provided with a Courtesy Car. Called them at 3.30pm to let them know I will be there in half hour to pick up my car, I was told oh wait your car is not ready as one of the part is not yet arrived. How can some one call me to tell me part has arrived and accept my car and open it up and then realise oh, not the right part. What kind of Mechanics do they have ?!. Anyway I need to pick up my son at 5 but no car, refused to provide courtesy car so I had to use a taxi. I was told car will be ready by 6 so I can pick up Saturday first thing at 8.30am. Then later on Friday got a call saying it not be ready on Friday 6 rather it will be Saturday 9.30, then I called them at 9.15 on Saturday to let them know I am coming. I was told no part has not arrived it will be 11.30 now. They rang me at 11 and told me can't do 11.30 anymore as it's incorrect part still and told me it will be Monday now and offered me finally a Courtesy Car by which time I had completed all my shopping using Taxis (as in more than one). I had to take the day off on Monday to pickup the car and again, not ready at 8.30 on Monday, then it was 9 and then it was 11.30 and finally completed and pickup my car at 12.30. I had 3 issues to resolve with the car, fixed 2 and told can't fix the other as they think everything is fine ?!! Worst dealers ever, they just want new customers and once you are a customer then forget about anything, you practically don't exist. A word of advise even after all this if you are going to use them then call 3 or 4 time to get them to check every single part and ensure it will fit your car or better yet get them to send you the part number they have so you can check yourself, after which it will be unlikely that things can go wrong but I am sure they will manage to surprise you. This was in Evans Halshaw Vauxhall Leeds in Gelderd Road near Shell.

My Mum bought a car from the Wrexham branch 9 months ago. They lost the service book to start off with, we should have taken this as an omen! She has just found out that although she was told a year tax was included it was only taxed for six months! They also haven't even registered the vehicle to her hence no tax reminder...disgusting. Looking at her paperwork the log book is a photo copy. My Mum has been distraught and we are angry to say the least! I bought a car off them which was more expensive and they couldn't have been more helpful...funny that isn't it.

Great service by all staff, really friendly and helpful, especially Luke and Sam in the Norwich Centre, although I cannot complain about any of the staff in there. I have just brought a Mercedes Benz A Class and up to now I cannot fault anything. Quick, efficient service and I feel confident that if anything is to go wrong, then I can approach them and know they will sort it out. Thanks lads.

Bought a car last month and paid a refundable deposit of £200 to bring my new car from another Evans Halshaw showroom for me to look at and buy. It was agreed that this £200 deposit would be refunded straightaway once completion of the sale was completed. The sale of the car was completed on 22nd Feb 2020 and i was told i wiuld receive the refund no later than 5 days later (24th feb 2020). It is now 3rd March 2020, 21 days after deposit was taken and still NO REFUND! Contact Evans Halshaw they said they have processed it but checked with my bank and there are no refunds showing or even pending. MORALE OF STORY DON'T BELIEVE A WORD CHESTER BRANCH OF EVANS HALSHAW TELL YOU AS IT IS ALL LIES!
