I used Fixter for a simple car service, and it turned into an incredibly stressful and disappointing experience. During the process, personal items were stolen from my car — including expensive sunglasses, membership cards, and other valuables — while in the care of Autoelite Ltd, the garage Fixter assigned. These items were easily accessible from the driver’s side, so it’s clear they were taken during collection or delivery. Fixter’s response? • No compensation. • No accountability. • Hiding behind small print and disclaimers. • Expecting me to provide photographic proof the items were in the car — because apparently, we should all assume our belongings might be stolen when using Fixter. Fixter has proven to be unreliable, untrustworthy, and completely uninterested in doing right by their customers when things go wrong. I will never use this service again and will be warning as many people as possible to stay away. Avoid at all costs. Absolutely disgraceful experience.

After initially depositing $97,000 into my account and growing it to $510,000.00 in a short period, withdrawing the funds turned into an incredibly difficult and frustrating experience. I was devastated by the situation. Fortunately, a friend introduced me to the team at Linda Caro Recovery, who came to my aid with their effective strategies. They guided me through every step of the process, ensuring I recovered every penny that was rightfully mine. I regret ever registering with this Trade Company. They are just being dishonest when they promise to let you know but never follow through. If you find yourself in a similar situation, I strongly suggest contacting Mrs. Charlotte Scott to avoid making the same mistake that I did. They gave me great assistance in getting my money back. It is strongly advised that you take advantage of this opportunity to get in touch with "Charlotte Scotte and her remarkable team". Booked timing belt replacement with fixter. After replacement weird noise appeared, so was sent to the same garage for diagnostics. Mechanic said he dont know what the problem is and if i wish I can try to go to another garage for diagnostics, so I went to Nissan garage and was found out that timing belt have not been fit and timed correctly and dodgy tensioners were used. Fixter says its not an evidence of poor workmanship. Please stay away from Fixter if you do not want to waste your time and money.

Actually awful it’s near laughable. Third time in a row Fixtr have messed me around and I’ve had to go elsewhere (somehow I thought this year would be different). I can’t even get an MOT with these guys. I had a phone call about my MOT to which I advised the lady I wasn’t going with Fixter due to no collection and delivery option in my area and past years of disappointment. She then advised they have credited my account and they can arrange delivery and collection. Date booked and then 2 phone calls later saying the date is fully booked and moved to the next day, date has been changed twice by this point. The next day another phone call saying id need to drop my car off and collect (whcih im unable to do) due to there being no one in the area to do this. Absolutely shocking and can’t believe I tried to give this joke of a company another go. Waste of time people- no clue how they’re operating still.

We’ve just been ripped off by Fixter and their garage, Highway MOT in Tooting. We’ve been charged £690 for an MOT, a new tyre (£205, ‘Leao'), new suspension upper arm bushes (£160, ’starline’) and new shock absorbers (£290, ‘SACHS’). Our local garage quoted us £500 and I don’t know which tyre he’d use but I suspect it will not be a cheap poorly wearing one link Leao. Trouble is, Fixter gave us the hard sell by telling us that each of these are ‘dangerous defects’ and that it would be illegal to move the car at all anywhere else. A good ruse. The online MOT states that the suspension issues are major defects and not dangerous defects. Fixter were also a pain to deal with remotely and did not listen to our request to use a specific newer credit card to pay with or properly inform us of the opening hours of the garage. I will not use either Fixter or Highway MOT ever again after these lies.

I had a very disappointing experience with Fixter and their partner garage. After receiving my car back from a service, I discovered that the car battery had been damaged, and the garage denied any responsibility. I reached out to Fixter to resolve the issue, but I was passed around between departments for an entire week, only to be told there was nothing they could do because the garage refused to take accountability and there was no evidence from my side. This is despite the fact that my car was functioning properly before it was serviced. Additionally, I noticed that my car had less than 5% fuel left upon return, while it had been at about 60% when it was taken in for service. The partner garage was also located so far away that I had to deal with this significant inconvenience. This entire experience has been incredibly frustrating, and I’m extremely dissatisfied with the lack of support and accountability. I do not recommend this company unless you want your car to be damaged.

Do not recommend at all. It was quoted 167 to replace brake pads and an MOT and disc on the website, but upon confirmation, the price doubled and the garage said they can't do the price that Fixter quoted. Where's the communication? why was it quoted, what was it based on? and when my car failed my MOT the list to fix it cause above 2 grand. Unbelievable. Never use again.

I was promised the car would be serviced and passed for an MOT by the end of the day. I approved the work to be done, but they contacted me to say it wouldn't be ready until the end of the NEXT day because the "supplier had delivered the wrong part." So I called Fixter and was told that someone would contact the garage and ring me straight back. An hour later no one had called back so I called again, and was told there was nothing that could be done. Eventually I was told the car would be returned by 1.30 the next day and someone would call the next morning to confirm this. But no one called. So I rang and was told someone would call me straight back. But no one did. You may see a pattern here. At no point was there any sense that anyone cared and the people I spoke to seemed to take joy in the inconvenience this was causing. I feel it's a duty to warn people to never use this appalling company.

! Absolute fraudsters! Avoid at all costs!! I booked my car in for an MOT and as part of the booking process my card details were taken for pre-authorisation. On the day of the MOT, I had a quote sent through via email, this detailed the work that was required. The vehicle had failed the MOT as the front tyres were not road worthy. I received a quote detailing the cost of two new tyres (mandatory) and replacement of brake discs and pads (recommended) . I called the mechanic and requested Bridgestone tyres. He said he would check the price. I called him back and he confirmed that the price of the Bridgestone tyres were the same price as the price that I had been quoted. I accepted the quote. Imagine my surprise when I received a receipt to say that my card had been charged £120 more than what I had authorised! I spoke to the mechanic, who said that it was a Fixter problem. The work was completed on the 19th September 2024 and I have contacted Fixter on 4 separate occasions to try and get the £120 refunded. Each time they respond to say that they are sorry, they are looking into the case and that they will respond by this date. However, they do not respond by the date that they have set. They have left me no option but to post a negative review, to warn other people about their illegal practices. As an aside, I have since had a friend contact the garage for a quote for the work that I had done, they have been told that the work would be £200 less than the price that I paid. Fixter are rip off merchants, avoid at all costs!!!

Horrific experience and service. Driver who collected my car crashed it on the way to the garage. They charged me the most expensive tyre for the pleasure, without giving me the option of choosing a cheaper tyre. Kept my car for 2 days, offered no compensation. Wasn't able to work for 2 days because of it and lost out on lots of money. Every time I called, I was told I would receive a call back - I never did. Had to keep calling complaints department as they continuously fobbed me off. First time using this company and couldn't possibly recommend them any less, will never be using them again.

If I could leave a Zero star I would. Went in for a radiator change for £260 .. ended up costing me over £1000 and took nearly two weeks to fix. Then , even after I specifically told them I had paid by Klarna they still insisted I pay via their invoicing system but it will still be paid by Klarna, they then take the full amount out of my bank. After complaining and wanting a refund as I can’t afford it in one go they , hence why I chose Klarna when they kept adding issues to my car and costs kept rising, they said they would investigate and call me back and could I send them a screen shot of my Klarna . They then cancelled my Klarna payments and never called me back. Do not use. They have ruined my holiday as now I’m short of money and the car also came back with a damaged exhaust

This review is in 2 parts; Good: - The site is easy to use - Communication through the site was good - The guy who picked up and dropped off the car was courteous. Bad: - Even though the allocated garage carrying out the repair had good reviews when the work was done they came back with a whole lot of recommended work they tried to upsell even though the car had been serviced the week before - They hadn't read the notes about what was required - A core part of the procedure was excluded and then they tried to charge on top, total thieves - Car was left dirty with things lying about After contacting Fixter, they took two days to reply with some made-up excuses. In summary, Fixter is a good idea with very poor delivery and no quality control, I would never use them again, the exact opposite experience of what I was expecting

Organised with Fixter to have my cam belt replaced. Passed over bank details and thought I was sorted. Took my car to the intended garage only to be told that the price quoted by Fixter wasn't possible and quoted double the price. In the mechanics defence he emailed them yesterday to tell them it wasn't possible but neither he normally I received a response. I doubt I will be using Fixter again.
