“I bought 5 of the Cheese Hampers for Xmas gifts, they were really nicely packaged in the box and the contents were lovely. the cheeses especially. would recommend and would use again.”

“Thank you, took longer than had hoped to arrive but understand the challenges especially before Christmas. Box would have been improved with a little something linking the product to the picture online....or tone down the picture online maybe. But thanks, not tasted any yet!”

“I am very disappointed with BoroughBox, wished I had never placed an order with you, which to this date has not been received by the recipient??? I tried to contact you by phone and have sent 2 emails enquiring to the whereabouts of the order, all a waste of time. Just wondering, since Christmas and New Year celebrations have passed, are you planning to deliver the food hamper for Easter? If it has been in transit all this time, or sitting around some post office delivery room since 16 Dec I should think it is not fit for human consumption by now. I would like to cancel the order and I request a refund.”

“I know you were inundated with orders over Christmas but I was impressed that you delivered the box I ordered to my son and his wife, who had just had a baby, on Christmas eve in time for them to have some Christmas goodies. They loved the contents and I know how hard you worked to deliver ontime. Many thanks.”

“Placed two orders early in December expecting delivery in 7/10 days. Did not arrive at destinations by Christmas, did not arrive by New Year and have not arreived yet. Would like a refund, please An order placed in Lancashire from another supplier arrived on time so hope they supply Yorkshire as well.”

“This order was placed by my company to thank one of our major clients and was due for delivery 15th December. I could not obtain updates, as the phone lines were closed, e-mails were responded by an out of office with "we are very busy". On the 22nd I was told it was despatched. It wasn't, the courier said they had not been given the delivery, so the tracking number was invalid. When I eventually got someone to answer my e-mail, all I asked is that it would be delivered by noon on the 24th, as the client s offices closed then. It wasp put out for anytime and an attempted delivery was made at 15:00. Surprisingly there was no one there to receive it, so was a waste of £200.”

“Bought a few boxes of Christmas treats for my work team all ordered the same morning a week before Xmas. Everything then arrived at different times ... some before Christmas, another New Years Eve. Just spoilt the impact of the Xmas gesture. Understand un-precedented times but my order to the same team from NotOnTheHighStreet arrived within 24 hours of the order being placed a week before Xmas. Real shame.”

“I understand that with Covid things are delayed, but I received an email saying the three hampers I ordered were to be delivered on xmas eve, but when I contacted the recipients (on the 4th Jan 2021) and asked if the hamper had arrived, none of them had! It has been impossible to contact Borough Box to find out where the hampers are. Not happy at all and won't be shopping with Borough Box again.”

“Badly let down in that the goods were not delivered for Christmas or even the New Year, contact was not possible as the phone lines referred one to the web and emails only got a standard automated reply which was never followed up However when I eventually got an email giving details of the courier, from this I spoke to a representative of Borough who was very helpful and returned my money straight away, and made sure the goods were not delivered Despite my unfortunate problems the gentleman I spoke to did inspire me to give a better rating because I accept that it was not entirely their fault and I will consider trading again”

“I am still to receive my order, made on 12th December. I never rush to a negative review but with no contact above the email to say our order might not arrive before Christmas my patience is unfortunately wearing thin. New year has passed, I still do not have the Christmas gift I ordered for a family member, and I’ve had no response to requests for an order update.”

“Extremely poor contact center. No commitment on timelines. Overall a very disappointing experience. Other online gifting services are much better. It seems I have made a mistake by chosing Boroughbox over others.”
