Despite ordering a gift hamper well in advance of Christmas, it never arrived. No communication, rang 3 times but couldn’t speak to anyone. Emailed 3 times and just got automatic responses. The Yodel tracker wasn’t working either. Finally managed to speak to someone 12 days AFTER delivery date when I didn’t follow the automated instructions and eventually got a full refund. Needless to say, your systems and processes are clearly not robust. Everyone is understanding this year due to the pandemic but with zero communication was frustrating and not acceptable. You should have closed your orders down if you were overwhelmed.

Very disappointed that my Christmas gift to my family of a hamper didn't arrive until the 28th although ordered on the 13th and told it would be in time.

Really disappointed. Will never order again as I placed the order on the 12th December and only arrived yesterday almost a week after Christmas. Sent an email and had no response. It was a present but even if it was good the delay is unacceptable.

Christmas gift ordered in plenty of time which never arrived. Communication or being able to get hold of anyone was appalling. Eventually managed to get a refund, but as was two days before Christmas was too late for me to source an alternative gift. I really hope the company learn from their mistakes and employ someone dedicated in communication and tracking of orders.

Well, where to start? Semi-aggressive emails from BoroughBox around delayed delivery. Two emails - one from ParcelForce and one form Yodel - both of which still claim they have not received the shipment yet. And indeed I still do not have the goods in hand. I have no idea when or even if I will receive what I have ordered. I have not contacted you because your emails asked me to be patient and effectively NOT contact you! I 100% appreciate that times are unusual and stressful. And I understand that there are delays. But this is not the way to continue to run a business where you want repeat orders.

Ordered as a Christmas present for my parents and they were delighted with the quality of the contents and also with the gift box it came in. We will use BoroughBox again!

Amazed to have been asked to write a review. Ordered 2 weeks before Xmas, it’s now NYE and haven’t received it. They’ve not answered any of my emails. The courier asked them to clarify my address when it had one number wrong in the postcode and they told them to send it to a completely different county. I was never consulted. Awful. Maybe I’ll get my order, maybe not. Let’s see!

When I ordered I was promised a delivery for the 21st December for a 90yr old’s birthday present. The parcel arrived on 31st but to the wrong address and has still not been delivered to the 90yr old who is housebound. Emailed several days ago and no response. I definitely would not recommend or use this company again. Expensive and appalling service.

I ordered an item on the 8/12/20 assuming it would arrive for christmas, unfortunately it did not arrive until the 31/12/20. Yodel didn't receive the item until after Christmas and it was delivered on the 30/12/20.. item cost over£40, emailed boroughbox 4 times now, still no reply. Looked at reviews on trust pilot., all customers with the same sort of problem . I haven't signed for the item and I do not want it,waiting for contact and refund.Typical fraudulent behaviour by boroughbox, allowing me to order knowing full well it wouldn't be delivered for xmas. I will never deal with this company again and watch this space!!!!!

Ordered on 10th Dec only delivered yesterday the 29th! Your website offers no help/replies to queries, standard response is that you are busy! This is not a customer problem, I was left with a very disappointed daughter and family and could not offer any meaningful explanation as to why parcel was late and where it actually was. I wanted to cancel the order but there was no option to do this. So the whole process of doing something lovely for my family after an horrendous year was a complete let down!! R Levinson

Whilst I was advised my order may be held up because of lockdown and demand, my box arrived right on time. My recipient loved it - my daughter who is stuck in London (thou she is happy to be stuck there lol) when we would love her home in Aus. A great way to deliver some happiness in these hard times. Despite ordering December 7th, none of the gifts for my family have arrived a week on. I emailed on 4 occasions asking for information and was completely ignored, no notification that deliveries would be delayed, no response to repeated requests for information for several weeks. Just non-existent customer care. I was finally offered 100 points on my account as an apology which was laughable - as if I would ever use this company again. Unable to deliver what they promise customers, and then when everything inevitably goes wrong they shut down phone lines and social media, and completely ignore emails. Funny how happy they were to take my money immediately despite not fulfilling orders. Absolutely shambolic. Find a viable and customer focused independent business to support: this is not one. And to suppliers: I would look elsewhere to retail your goods lest your own products be tarnished by this company’s incompetence.
