8'x6' forest4life shed. Avoid like dog truffles on the pavement. Cheap, nasty product. These buildings are cheap for a reason. Flimsy build quality, poor instructions many of which were missing, osb/chipboard roof panels, paper thin roofing felt (that's if you get supplied enough- I was 2 8' rolls short), had to supply my own to finish the job, small panels that make delivery easy but poor structural integrity as there are so many joins in such a small building, don't store anything in this building if you value it, as the security hasp and staple can be forced quite easily with a carrot or a limp willy, the plastic windows are a new one for me and don't believe they won't fade in the sun - they will....they're plastic, don't expect to put any weight on the roof when erecting or once built as any weight on the roof will probably head South quite quickly, a better quality shed for a few hundred pounds more is a wiser investment of your hard earned money. 25 year life span is a very wild expectation. I think a decimal point was missed out . A good quality 8'x6' shed should take 2 people approximately 2-3 hours to erect. This 8'x6' shed took 2 experienced fitters nearly 6 hours to complete. I hope my thoughts help others.

I ordered a small summer house, thought it was fabulous you could pick your own delivery day. Turned up on time, (delivery driver was friendly, polite and very helpful) which was excellent as I had arranged for another company to put it up for me (forest garden wanted £430 to build it) the majority of companies you deal with these days check the order before sending it or at least include a parts sheet, neither of these important steps were taken, upon piecing together the summer house from the vague instructions, we found that bags of screws were missing, no bother my fitters came prepared! However, 2 windows were missing, mistakes happen so I called straight away, unfortunately their not available to speak to on a Saturday so an email was sent and building came to a stop, luckily I had some tarpaulin to cover it all over. Monday morning I had a response to my email stating they were extremely sorry and that I would have to wait a further 5-7 working days for my windows to come. On the website it states everything is treated and will be fine for 25 years, in the email I received it stated to make sure everything was covered well to prevent damp getting in, which seems a contradiction that I didn’t get an answer for when I asked how I should my protect my summer house from the great British rainy autumnal weather. Fast forward a week of waiting for windows and I finally got a delivery date, it had now been 12 days since the original delivery. I arranged for the same company I used to build the summer house to come back on that day and fit the windows, unfortunately the company sent me side panels. I was a bit frustrated at this point, as were my fitters, so I called the customer service line and spoke to a lady who I repeatedly asked to stay on the line until the issue was sorted, she hung up on me so we had to resort to email again, where I was told this would be raised as a high priority, but I’d still have to wait the 5-7 working days for the missing parts. Although they managed to arrange straight away for the sides to be picked up but couldn’t arrange delivery to rectify there initial error. So again, I arranged for my fitters to come back and fit the windows, finally I could have my summer house, maybe not as the windows they sent out were both broken. The customer service team and manager of the customer service come across unknowledgeable about the products they sell, if it’s not in the script they don’t know the answer. Unfortunately I have not had a very good experience with this company and I can not recommend them. Such a bad experience from something that was meant to be so joyous. Please, if your like me and value your money don’t shop with this company. I understand we all make mistakes from time to time, it’s how we manage them that counts. This company unfortunately don’t manage them well.

Delivery was on time and driver extremely helpful and polite. Unfortunately the 8x6ft potting shed is very poor quality. Instructions are extremely poor and wood panels are of poor quality. There were also nails sticking out of various panels and rusty nails. Getting the shed square was extremely difficult and when we put the felt onto the roof it has folds in it. The person building our shed is experienced and said it was the worse he’s had to build.

I can only echo the experiences of others. Ordered through a big retailer, delivery delayed, was fobbed off to Forest Garden, shed arrived damaged and of poor quality. Ended up spending £32 on a new roll of roofing, fixing broken and damaged panels myself. Asked for replacement doors, that took another two weeks and what arrived was soaking wet, mouldy, and made with timber so poorly sawn that it looks like a wet bath towel made of splinters. There's a difference between rough cut and ruined. Customer service is a joke, they treat customers like an inconvenience rather than their source of income. Nothing gets done until you beg them for it and then they act like they're doing you a favour instead of doing their job. Avoid the company, buy from another supplier and check their reviews before you do so.

£4K Melbury Log Cabin purchased via Costco .Says any DIYer can build . The doors don’t shut properly despite ensuring the door framework is level . They wont or can’t send anyone to fix it and Costco won’t get involved since we didn’t use their subcontractors A real let down and most annoying after days of construction and painting . If you are looking to spend this sort of money ,Find a reputable local company who can build and fit and won’t walk away when things aren’t right

Ordered a Forest Garden Hen House ex Asda. Arrived pretty swiftly. The roof was damaged (huge gouge/hole in it so pretty useless) but the delivery guy claimed to have ordered a replacement before he'd even left the drive. Promised replacement by the end of the week. A week beyond that and no comms from Forest Garden at all. And that is despite me ringing to ask where the replacement parts were and a chap telling me he'd get someone to call me back. I then emailed having had no reply for 24 hours and still nothing. So I had a hen house that I paid over £500 for and it had no roof amongst other parts missing or damaged).....a serious waste of £500 if you ask me. Dreadful company. Would not use again. ***Update*** Following me leaving a review on another site, Forest Garden contacted me to try and resolve the situation. Yet again, made promise after promise of calling me with an update as to when the missing/damaged parts would be replaced....BUT, they then never got back to me with an update as they promised. It absolutely felt like they were playing a joke. So, here I am, over a month after placing the original order - which was delivered in 5 days (the ONLY positive in the whole experience)....still no usable hen house and I've just paid my credit card bill. I had no choice this week but to insist they come collect the parts I DO have and surprise, surprise...they confirmed they can do that very quickly and are coming next week. Officially the worst company I have ever had to deal with. Use them at your peril.

please read all the reviews on the b and q website about the quality of these sheds!!! poor quality, leaks , warps, i had to pay a carpenter to come and sort the warps out after we put it up. i will say i was given a small partial refund, but 6 months on i have so many gaps appeared in the slated walls. contacted customer service who were very short and unbothered by my concerns.

Appalling customer service. Greenhouse and fitters booked for 8.30-9.00 am. It's nearly 11am and no sign. Phoned Head Office twice - no-one could tell me where the greenhouse and fitters were. Eventually spoke with a supervisor who didn't seem that bothered. Avoid using this company if you can!

Sadly I have to give a star to be able to give a review, however as the service has been non-existent I would prefer to give zero. I ordered a log store form Robert Dyas on 4th December, to ensure a pre-Christmas delivery. On the order confirmation it was confirmed as a delivery before 15th December, so all good and I ordered a delivery of logs to coincide. On the morning of 15th December I received a call from Forest Garden Ltd (the fulfilment company) telling me due to the lorry load 'being too heavy' my delivery could not be made. Straight out of the old 'leaves on the track' or 'the wrong snow' book of excuses! I was promised a call back with a new delivery date before Christmas. Guess what - no call back, so I called this morning only to be told that all deliveries have now stopped for Christmas (on Tuesday 19th!!!!!!!) and they have to raise it as a new order with a delivery date of 4th January - 3 weeks after the original promised date. If I hadn't have called I suspect I would not have known. I called Robert Dyas who were completely in the dark, as Forest Garden Ltd had not updated them either. I have 300 logs getting nicely drenched in the rain - thank you!! I have requested a refund from Robert Dyas and will now try and source something from a supplier who can deliver on promises.

Delivered damaged, waited a week for 1st replacement panels. Overall it has taken 5 weeks to get replacements that are still wrong. The horizontal wood on all of the small panels extended past the vertical supports by as much as 10 mm and had to be cut off with a saw to allow the vertical supports to go flush. When the large and small panels where assembled to the base the horizontal wood cladding was progressively out of alignment by as much as 40 mm at the bottom. Nothing like the photo of the shed on line. Shed was shipped with 4 identical roof panels. I sent a picture of the panels I had and how two of them fit the roof and asked for the correct replacements. They instead sent a right and left panel instead of two left panels. When I finally got the remaining roof panel the two replacements do not fit into the notches of the apex panel. They are slightly different than the first two panels. The centre support is 15 mm off. So the apex needs to be cut to fit. The small panels on each side of the door panel are 60 mm shorter than the door panel, they cut the cladding shorter than the cladding on the door and it looks stupid. Minor but irritating. Asked for a 50 mm Black screw to replace a damaged one on the door lock. Received a 50 mm brass wood screw. Also the chrome screws on the door knob are already rusting. Forest Garden obviously has no quality control. For a thousand pounds I didn't get what I paid for. A complete disappointment start to finish.

As previous reviewers have said, the product is worse than poorly made with cheap timber that as soon as it is nailed together it splits with their nails provided. The doors were bent so unless the catch was used it wouldn't bow outwards. The panels are poorly nailed together so the professional putting it together had to use different screws and many more of them to hold the summerhouse together. Holes throughout the panels and one particular gaping gap. They cannot guarantee the summerhouse will be weathertight and that I need to buy sealant to fill up all those holes. It was suggested to me that it was my responsibility for ensure quality of their product - where was their quality control department? They have offered replacement doors and £70 which is 10% of the purchase price. As others have said, I am going to have to pay for additional work to be done to make the product structurally sound and the floor just bounces. How Garden Centres and many retailers state they are the No.1 company for garden sheds etc beggers belief? How Forest Garden hasn't gone bust is beyond me - note to retailers - why are you selling us down the river and then refusing to offer any further compensation? Never again will I buy from Forest Garden nor BuyShedsDirect. The photos look great online but I wish I read all these reviews before purchasing.

Told 5-10 working days for delivery through original retailer and that delivery would be organised 2 working days before delivery date. Yesterday was day 8 so emailed asking what’s going on. Was told delivery would be an extra 2 weeks due to part shortages. I understand stock issues happen but an extra 2 weeks delivery should have been made clear earlier in the process. I have now had to move other contractors around and have incurred fees of £100 to do so. I raised this with forest garden customer services who advised I should have waited until I was happy with the delivered goods until organising further works - if this was the case nothing would get done and also defeated the point of having delivery times if they can’t be met! If they were upfront about this extra time I would be more understanding but the fact nothing was said until I chased is not acceptable. At this point the advisor did not provide reassurance and instead advised the shed could be damaged in transit which might cause further delays again! Avoid like the plague if you value honesty from retail companies! UPDATE - called them up on 10th aug following this review to organise delivery, agreed it would come the morning of 17th. Had a text to confirm this also. Now received a text at 5pm on 16th saying it’s not coming until the 19th! I am due to be going to the rugby with my dad as a birthday treat but I’m going to have to cancel due to this. This is also the 3rd piece of bad news I’ve received at 5pm - this is convenient as it’s closing time! I’ve also seen other bad reviews on here advising of bad news sent at 5pm so this must be deliberate. I can’t wait to speak to customer services tomorrow where they will advise that I shouldn’t have booked rugby tickets for a day that the shed wasn’t meant to be coming! Or Better yet they will advise I should have put my life on hold until I physically have the shed in my hands! Poor poor poor all around.
