2stars for previous orders which were good but sent peach tree which was dead gave it three weeks as per their suggestion replaced without problem and I was impressed but the replacement had only a couple of leaves and after a month to allow plenty of time to develop nothing so notified them to be told outside 14 day guarantee period so basically tough. They have lost a regular customer

I ordered 3 different Clematis plants - 2 of them were healthy & now growing well in my garden. The third however looked dry and unhealthy when received, but I planted it and hoped it might spring back to life. One month later, the plant gave up completely. Customer Service then wanted me to pay for a courier to collect the dead plant, as evidence, despite taking detailed photographs both when first receiving the plant and a month later. Their response was "All our plants are checked for quality, condition and overall health prior to dispatch, both internally and by an external independent ministry (DEFRA), to make sure we are only sending out good quality stock to our customers" This statement is clearly inaccurate! I had no suitable packaging to return a delicate dead plant, nor was I prepared to pay good money to a courier for its return. It was actually more cost effective to buy a new clematis from a different supplier and this is now growing healthily. Customer Service at Gardening Express do not represent their company at its best and I will not be using this supplier again.

After deciding to replan & Design my garden already spending a considerable amount on building materials also obtaining a large number of bulbs plant & even lighting from amazon with no issues having a large garden l deciding to finish the bottom corners with what l considered to enabling to create a small orchard with the 6 fruit trees from garden express at £29.97 which l purchased 2 which cost £59.94 + £6.96 Delivery the order being placed on 2nd November after which no delivery details were received by gardening express until 14th November when I was asked to fill a feedback form about the service l received without providing the plants l have already paid for lam considering seeking legal action as reading over 1500 reviews it seems that gardening express are obtaining money by deception which is fraud don't use this Company

It’s a lottery.. i ordered £100 of plants, most came nice, but some were not. I had bulbs that never came through and a hellebore that was advertised as a large plant in bud or bloom in season that just had a couple of weak damaged leaves. Contacted customer services, was told the plants are fine. They are so rude and condescending and would not listen. would’ve never bought those plants if I saw them in a shop. Never dealing with them again.

Arrived quite quickly. However, tricolour Cactus was missing pot, was told they had run out after asking where it was! Small £1 Christmas Cactus were over watered, limp and one was slightly broken. Tulip bulbs were in a damp mouldy bag, and bag was so damp the handle came off! Sent photos of black mouldy bulbs and were told they were fine. Queried this and was ignored on their chat. Waste of money and they went in the bin. Then got an email saying they were end of season and it said they maybe mouldy. I can assure you this was nowhere on the website as I would not have purchased them. First time customer and now last time customer.

contacting and getting a response from gardening express is extremely difficult, my order has not been processed after 2 weeks and its no longer required as its taken so long, want to cancel the order and get a full refund of my payment asap. Customer service is appalling.

Poor all round. Their avoidance of direct contact is for obvious reasons. Nearly three full weeks for delivery whereas most are delivering within 3-5 days as they vaguely quote.  The box of plants arrived crushed and the plants damaged. The plants in general were a lot more expensive and smaller than most suppliers. I will not be using them again and will advise others not to do so.

Delayed delivery, poor plants, not as described or shown on website - I would not order from here again, nor do I recommend. I posted a question about the hydrangeas not being as described, no response as yet. V poor service.

ordered Jasmine climber. video pictures showed a bushy established plant . when it arrived looked nothing like the size in the pictures. £59.99 will not be ordering from gardening express again. !!

Wish I had also read the reviews first. I have spent £60 on a plant and still waiting for it. Looked at there face page and saw that alot of comments had been removed and only a couple of positive comments about how beautiful the plants looked. I made a comment asking why are there so many comments missing and wish I had read the online reviews first as not good and they have removed my comment. Once they remove your negative comment you are unable to leave any more comments as they restrict you!! That says it all really.

Placed order for plants which were in season. Said 3/5 days delivery. 3 weeks later plants arrived alive but looked nothing like pictures on website just twigs Contacted garden express who said they would bloom when in season & if not I could return them but had to pay for postage. Idea was to pay more & get plants already in bloom to make garden look nice not like plant graveyard. Total rip off & wouldn’t recommend or use again 😡

I'm giving two stars rather than one as I did eventually get a refund as the terms when ordered were 3-5 days then after I paid they changed it to 4 weeks and it actually took 7 but I refused the plants by then as I;d bought elsewhere. Had a fight for a refund, and was pretty much ignored on their ticket system and phones and chat are switched off so you can't communicate with them, but I kept fighting, got the bank involved, and today I got £97 back plus £6 interest. Not sure if it was GE or the bank who refunded, but I have got it back so I got there in the end. So you may get lucky, some people seem to get good plants, but if you don't it's the customer services that lets them down i.e. it's next to non existent.

Well to be honest I have slagged off this company - but they have finally given me a fully refund (5 months on from the arrival of the dead plants) - 100 emails sent So they have come good at the end but I won't use them again

I have ordered two plants at different times. The second plant, a tri-coloured buddleia is fine but the bare-root tulip magnolia was dead onarrival and despite me planting and waiting 6 was, no growth or signs of life. I sent pictures as requested but have never received an apology or a refund despite several requests. The tickets just keep being closed without a satisfactory conclusion.

I don't feel quite as negative as others about Gardening Express as the plants they have sent me have been received packaged well and in good condition, better than many at garden centres during Covid 19, and have flourished but...... They sent me a wrong plant, I wasn't prepared to go to the trouble of returning what they sent me under the present circumstances so I kept it but it was cheaper than the one I'd ordered. I then tried to check my orders in my account and couldn't access it, it wasn't accepting my password. I've tried to change my password dozens of times but never receive an email from them to allow me to do so. They send me charming responses to my queries apologising and telling me how to try and sort it out but I've given up and will cancel my contact with them. This company is missing a trick, like the curate's egg it's good in parts but not good enough for me to stay with them. What a pity.

Box plants arrived quickly and look ok. One has a few yellowing leaves though and is in a badly broken pot. Soil has spilled out and this will make it difficult to both re-cycle the Box and to take the Plant into the garden for re-potting. A bit disappointed

I ordered a Blackberry Nip rose bush. My plant arrived in a very damaged box. One branch was hanging off and had to be removed leaving quite a sparse plant. Some leaves were dead and others quite wilted. No tag in the plant pot to say what the rosebush is - no buds so can't say. The pot was wrapped in a plastic bag which had been sellotaped onto a part of the plant. I waited 5 weeks for this delivery and I wish I had never ordered it now.
