After waiting for the best part of 6 weeks for my order when it arrived the box was absolutely battered and 3 of the shrubs were very damaged one to the extent that the best place to plant it was in the compost bin. Despite sending photographs of the box and its damaged contents there has been no acknowledgement by the company other than their robotic statement that the 'email has been received'. Given the poor state of affairs I emailed them again (can't get hold of them by phone) and said I wished to cancel the next two orders (one of which was 6 weeks late and the other 4 weeks). Once again though no acknowledgement and eventually the two orders turned up. Thankfully our other garden orders were done through You Garden so the rest of our garden refurbishment will be done through them.

I received a box of dead plants. I've ordered from them once before, and then it took nearly a month for them to dispatch my plants, so I wasn't surprised at how long it took to receive my plants this time. I was disappointed that all the plants were dead - but that sometimes happens. What I am incredibly annoyed about is that, despite eleven weeks, two cases, and multiple attempts, I still can't get any customer service out of these people, let alone a refund. I am considering small claims next, not because of the cost of my order- the cost of the time I have spent trying to get this resolved far, far exceeds the cost of my order - but because these utter charlatans will continue to keep ripping consumers off if they think that they can get away with it. All those £30 non-refunded orders add up... Quite the poorest customer service I have ever received - and in this case, it's very, very clear that the coronavirus is just an excuse for their shoddy unprofessionalism. Avoid!

June 2020 ‘Express’ should Not being in their company name / plants VERY late to arrive ( 2months) with ZERO meaningful communication from the company - just generic excuses in standard untailored replies to queries - do not order until their capability to deliver transforms

Unfortunately I have nothing positive to say about this company. Here’s a little questionnaire I’ve filled out: When was your ordered placed? April 22nd What was the cost? £82.86 Were you satisfied with the product? I can’t comment because I still haven’t received it after 58 days. Did you receive adequate customer service? No, I’ve counted 7 emails sent, I’ve had two replies. One being a generic response stating they can’t answer my email because they’re too busy. The other from Roger, who ignored my request for a refund and suggested my order was being dealt with. The next day my order status for 51 days of “processing” went to “preparing Your order” that was 6 days ago and is still the same status. Are there anyways you think the company could improve? I believe huge emphasis on customer service and management of the ordering system would prevent many highly dissatisfied customers. It’s clear the company is overstretched with orders, yet are still taking more. The communication is not acceptable. There is no telephone system, the emails are being ignored and I have three support tickets still open, ranging from mid May until now. Would you recommend gardening express and why? I would definitely not recommend gardening express. The delivery time is beyond acceptable, and without the option of a refund is unlawful

Don't use this company. I ordered plants from them on May 3 2020. I fully understood there would be a delay in delivery due to Covid19. It is now the 8 June 2020. I had great difficulty contacting them. Eventually I managed to find an email address I could mail. I told them I had not received the plants and asked for a refund. I gave them a deadline for when I expected the plants to arrive and to date I still have not received them. They are at least now communicating but they have told me twice now that they have been shipped and this is not the case. Terrible company who take your money refuse a refund when you request it even though they are in breach of contract under the consumer rights act of 2015. Don't use this company you will regret it if you do.

Plants arrived 5 weeks late, then some items missing, had to inform them about the missing items to them wait another 1.5 weeks for a refund. Plants arrived very dry and almost dead, it has taken a lot of miracle grow to get them to survive.

No email address. No contact address. No phone number. Doesn't that tell you something? If you want to know who they are, do a little research. I did. Barge pole springs to mind.

Ordered 2 plants on 9th April which I have not yet received. Cost over £18 with postage. Have tried to contact by opening a ticket but received a standard reply asking for my patience. I am disgusted with lack of service and will never use this company again.

4 weeks in and not a word from this company. No way to contact. They have posted an email address on Trustpilot in response to their mounting negative reviews but this is another waste of time as it leads to get another automated response.

BEWARE - RIP OFF COMPANY THAT APPEAR TO HAVE CEASED TRADING!!!!!!!! IF YOU HAVE PLACED AN ORDER WITH 'Gardening Express', YOU SHOULD CONTACT YOUR PAYMENT CARD PROVIDER NOW AND DEMAND A FULL REFUND!!!!!!!!! = This company are still taking customers money but are not supplying any products!!!!! They ignore all emails and their so-called 'Ticket System' is switched off!!! Order placed 18 days ago and not a single email, message, call or anything from them about my order. TRADING STANDARDS HAVE NOW BEEN ALERTED TO THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!! It looks as though they could be a company that is going to go bust becuase of the Virus... but are still taking customers money!!!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY AS YOU ARE LIKELY TO GET RIPPED-OFF AND NEVER GET A REFUND!!!!! THEY PUBLISH A DAILY TWITTER advert but do not reply to any of their customers!!!!!!!! AVOID - OR RISK NEVER GETTING YOUR MONEY BACK!!!!! PLENTY OF OTHER TRUSTWORTHY COMPANIES OUT THERE... UNLIKE THIS ONE!!!!! I HAVE ASKED FOR A REFUND MANY TIMES BUT THEY JUST KEEP IGNORING ME!!!! NO PHONE NUMBER OR EMAIL ADDRESS ON WEBSITE AND THE TICKET SYSTEM IS NOW SWITHCED OFF!!!!

Very worried after reading comments on some review sites. I've spent over £50 on bedding plants. I have raised beds empty waiting to be filled. After 1 week my order is not even at the picking stage. Eventhough, we are in a crisis situation I thought as they are taking orders they'd do all they can to move orders along. I'd rather of spent a day queuing to get into B&Q now. Spent my money and walked out with my plants. I've also seen their a nightmare to contact too. Just hope when I finally get my plants they were going worth the wait and the money.

I ordered two patio peach trees, one of which arrived today (late April) and should be in leaf. What actually arrived was a completely dead specimen. The twigs were brittle and the buds were shriveled. How any packer would mistake this for a living specimen evades me. From checking review sites (after the event) that, it seems that this is far from unusual - and to rub salt into the wound, these reports also state that their customer support is non existent as are refunds, so I'll guess I'll have to bite the bullet and take the loss. I have no great hope for the second patio peach tree and will try and source decent specimens elsewhere. An expensive lesson in ALWAYS checking reviews on different sites - how they get over 50% on Trust Pilot site evades me - I shouldn't be suprized if they spend the time they save by conning people into buying dead plants to write fake reviews! Hopefully, someone will read this review and avoid Gardening Express like the plague. I will certainly never use them again.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SUPPLIER! Recently ordered two pink Cordylines which were on special offer. When we received them, they were in a dreadful condition and were all but dead. All the leaves were brown and dead from the tips almost to the stem of the plants. We started to cut the dead/diseased leaves off, and then realised that there would be no plant left. I have tried to raise a ticket on their website but seem unable to. We would strongly advised not to buy from them.

2 out of 4 plants I ordered were dreadful. One almost dead and the other a twig . Both should have been in 2-3 litre pots indicating well established plants but mine arrived in pots less than half a litre. Customer services non apologetic and patronising and in bold font told me my plants were healthy etc despite sending them photos as requested and advised pot sizes vary ! No refund, (which I am entitled to) until I can return the plants which will be god knows when due to current travel restrictions due to Corona. What a waste of my pension money. Do not use this company is my advice. It appears that they do not take on board the other complaints in order to improve their service.
