Absolutely abysmal company to deal with, tried to obtain insurance for my daughter and ended up talking to a supposedly Admiral customer service person who didn’t have a clue and was very hard to understand, do not go near this company , they are dreadful

tried to buy new policy via MSE new Moneysupermarket tool and was directed to Admiral's Indian call centre. 41 minutes on hold all in all. Horrendous experience!

I've been a customer for almost 5 years and I've never been involved in an accident, I've never made a claim. At the end of last year, I renewed my policy annually and also included a second car in my policy (on the Admiral app they say they grant 15%, but there is no such discount). I spoke to an attendant but it was impossible to proceed. This attendant was completely unprepared (she was in training) and constantly interrupted the call and consulted someone else (a boss or supervisor) about my questions, as she didn't know how to answer them. It was impossible to understand what she was saying (she had very bad diction as if she was eating all the time). She interrupted me all the time, not letting me speak. Extremely rude and without technical knowledge. I was on the phone for almost an hour, they didn't resolve what I wanted and they even hung up on me. She could never work in customer service. This company has the worst customer service in the UK. I would not recommend this company to anyone unless you want to be disrespected. I'm going to cancel my policy, it doesn't include my second car in the main policy and my two daughters didn't take out insurance with Admiral, meaning they lost four customers. And I am reporting what happened to all my personal friends and those at my company. He has to learn how to work and respect people—the worst insurance company in the UK.

Do not use this company, storm damage to the render on the side of the house, Assessor turned up saying poor workman ship, the render is only 10yr old, any excuse. Then they tried to put my insurance up an extra £10 a month because of the claim. Shocking service

Absolutely terrible insurance group. Would never recommend. Ive had no claims for 8 years and never made a claim in my life. My car and house insurance for last year was £600 and renewal for this year is £1000. Talk about being a royal customer. Dont not use them

I was hit by an Admiral insured driver Dec 2 . The driver ignored requests to provide details (a criminal offence). Admiral contacted me just before I contacted the police. Eventually their repairers took my car away. After alot of messing me about my car was returned on Dec 28. Repair was not complete and was taken away again. Finally returned 4/1/2024. Paint job was a poor match. Repairers were slow and did a bad job.

We had home insurance policy with Admiral since 2022. They automatically increased the price of our policy by 60% (!) a year later without getting our consent. They only sent an email to inform us of the policy renewal and we found out the new price increase when seeing our bank statement a few months later. Their agent could not give a single good reason to the 60% price increase. This is insane! How could any insurance provider justify this hefty price increase on the same items being covered? Now to cancel the policy, they want to charge us an extra £80.

Tried doubling my car insurance. Will only let me cancel renewal via the phone and then I hold for 20 minutes (twice) and they cut me off.

Customer service awful, basically accused me if telling lies. CEO couldn't be bothered to reply to my complaint, so so happy when taking your money though, too high up the corporate ladder to speak with a lowly customer.

Crooks, tried to double my insurance. Tried to cancel, had to go through a 15 minute phone call to cancel. Then told I had to pay them £25 cancellation fee, despite being within the law of 14 day refund policy. They said they would take payment out of my bank, they did not, so sent a recovery agency after me. Absolutely disgusting behaviour from a once reputable company.

Keep well away from these scammers. Wha they do is say that they have sent out 5 renewal notices. Which you have ignored. Then Dept Collection agents try to force you to pay the money. But is has been noted that no renewal letters were sent out. 1 IGNORE the So called Dept Collection agency. 2 Then inform the Insuarance refrence agency. 3 You will then here no more from these scums.

Admiral are a bad, hostile company, masters of sharp practice. cannot be trusted one bit. You are inviting trouble if you use them. We had an important house cover policy, (P67681414-to prove this is genuine) the card used for automatic renewals expired while we were on a months holiday. they sent a letter instead of an e mail which, obviously we could not see. When we got back, we found the policy had been cancelled and we were charged £50 ''administration'' fee, which they have put into the hands of a debt collection company, who are now harassing us. we made an attempt to pay to restart the policy, and were told they had cancelled it. We attempted to obtain a new policy from them, were connected to a foreign operator who could not be understood, after spending an hour on the phone, we were cut off and did not bother to call us back. Not the actions of a decent or responsible company. I have since noticed that they appear to be liaising with dubious reviewers, in an attempt to make The company appear better than it really is, which is all they can do now, to appear trustworthy.

I’d rate them 0 stars if I could! What a terrible experience with Admiral car insurance! I unfortunately crashed and wrote off my car while being insured with Admiral. They told me to call them up once I had found a replacement vehicle to make sure they don’t cancel the wrong insurance policy when I switch it over. I did exactly what they said, even confirmed with the agent that my new car’s policy would not be cancelled. (They cancel your insurance policy when your vehicle is deemed a total loss). I decided to double check my coverage, only to find they had indeed cancelled my new car’s insurance and I had been driving for 20hours without any cover! They didn’t even send me an email stating they had cancelled it, so good thing I checked! When it came to arranging a settlement figure for my vehicle they deducted the remaining amount I had to pay for my year insurance. They then tried to also take it out of my account (£762.51!), trying to charge me twice for the policy! They didn’t send me any notification of this transaction either, I was just lucky my banking app notified me as I wouldn’t have known and it would have taken me overdrawn. They told me to cancel the direct debit my end as they could not stop the payment from their end. I did exactly what they told me (also got written proof from them that they told me to do so) however they still continued to chase me for the money that I DID NOT OWE. They confirmed I indeed do not owe the money. Admiral then went on to send £762.51 over to my finance company without my permission then proceeded to chase me for the money yet again. I did not owe Admiral any money at this point and I had already rearranged my monthly payments with my finance company. They then emailed me a formal default letter telling me that my insurance will be cancelled on the 12th December 2023 if I do not pay the money to them. This has also affected my credit rating despite them reassuring me that it will not. The customer services team do not communicate with the claims team whatsoever and this has become very apparent in my dealings with this company. I have submitted a formal complaint which was “closed” without them informing me of any resolution. I had to reopen a new complaint which is currently still open but they are not doing anything about the default letter or the fact my insurance could be cancelled in less than 2 weeks time. I am truly disgusted with this company and I seriously suggest for anyone who is thinking about using them to reconsider.

Just spent over 45 minutes talking to a call centre operator in India. It was the most terrible experience I've had for a very long time. I was asked the same questions about date of birth and postcode 5 times. There were about 5 more people talking in the background. Be warned, it's not good.

Getting a feedback or even following up on a claim is really frustrating. When I call, I get transferred from one department to the other, with each department asking the same question. Admiral is not keen on providing good customer experience just out to get premium.

This is a scam establishment. I have reported a claim involving my insured Mercedes EQC 400 for the past 12 days. I have made several calls and even involved their complaints department and liability for a courtesy car has been pushed for many days between their appointed repairs garage and Admiral. Even though the response has not been timely, they eventually asked another second car hire to reach out but those ones are so daft enough to offer me a Volkswagen golf or similar. This is how they renege on contracts and when you fail their premiums they threaten brimstone if possible end your life. I have now declined on this car type and that simply is no courtesy car for me which is what they hope for at the beginning.

A bit more expensive than other insurers but the service is great and you can amend the policy quickly and easily via your account on the website
