TO CUT A LONG STORY SHORT..... ISH to cut a long story short. 3 weeks ago i ran a quote for a land rover i was considering buying through EVERY uk search engine. On every occasion Admiral came top of the lists by a fair amount. THIS WAS THREE WEEK AGO. i was coincidentally already a customer with them so changed over the 'new car' to the old policy knowing the new policy was die soon and hoping for an equally favorable renewal. CAN YOU GUESS WHAT CAME NEXT.... 3 weeks later i got the renewal. NO CHANGE in any circumstances what so ever. the renewal was £500 more expensive than it had been 3 weeks ago... i rang and spent 2 hours being passed from pillar to post. i also ran the car through every online web site again. this time strangely ADMIRAL were no where on the search engine. this time it was TESCO... every result showed they were now chasing my business. this is how a company hooks you in then 'SHAFT' you come renewal the fact that ADMIRAL would not quote on the latest search shows the new UK law forbidding Insurance companies penalizing existing customers over 'new business' is working.... show no loyalty to any company and use the search engines... loyalty is not valued by this faceless companies... needless to say i am no longer with ADMIRAL.. be interesting to see if next year they want me back

My premium for July 2022 to July 2023 was £530 (paid monthly). My premium for July 2023 to July 2024 was £1205.36 (paid monthly) - due to the open claim against me, and inflationary costs. The claim was then closed at a cost of £729.76. Due to the increase of £675.36 on my premium from July 2023 to July 2024, I have more or less paid this claim cost back to you already. Your renewal quote for July 2024 to July 2025 is £1465.52. This is a 21.5% increase on last year’s premium. You increased my premium last year by 127%, due to the open claim and inflationary costs. You have now tried to offer me a renewal for next year’s premium at a further 21.5% increase. I believe there is no justification for this significant increase. Firstly, last year’s increase of £675.36 (127%) (as already explained, due to the open claim) I have already paid, therefore in essence, the cost of the claim is more or less paid off. Therefore, as the claim is closed and I have since paid the majority of the cost of the claim back in this year’s current premium, there is no reason for you to justify the extra 127% increase from this year’s premium in my renewal quote. Even taking into account inflationary costs, it would be nowhere near 127%. In effect, not only have you added on inflationary costs in both this year’s premium and my renewal quote which I would fully expect, but you have also kept on the increase from this year’s premium due to the claim, in my renewal quote for next year. The claim is closed now, and only cost £729.76. You are keeping last year’s 127% increase, and throwing on an extra 21.5% for good measure, despite the claim being closed and the cost only being £729.76 (of which I have paid for already in my increased premium from this year). I believe there is no justification for this at all and I would urge you to reconsider. I was anticipating inflationary costs in this years renewal quote, but you are also keeping on the cost of the claim which I have more or less already paid for with the increase to the current premium.

I have just left admiral after being with them for years - tried to make my first ever claim and they are telling me I can’t based on information that is not on their website! Their website says you need to make a claim Within 48hours - despite doing this, I am somehow still not entitled to the cover even though I pay for it!! Kept getting passed around and eventually called to cancel insurance and am washing my hands with them

Been with admiral for years. Until a hit and run driver wrote off my 09 jaguar xtype se. Eventually the guy did own up as his number plate fell off at the scene of the accident Admiral passed us onto another company (auxillas) for some reason and they in turn passes it on for the car to be Inspected. Auxillas undervalued the car at 2.8k In pristine condition with only 72k miles on the clock. As I'm register disabled and we have a son with autism we need to get to school, a car is essential and needs to be a certain size. Most are around 4k. Long story short, after disagreeing with the decision and dealing back with admiral, they came back with 2.9k So now we have to replace a gem of a car through no fault of our own and admiral have hung usout to dry. The gore car has to be returned in a week and it takes 8 weeks for them to get back to you with a decision Keep your money and find a more satisfactory way to screw yourself. They will leave you high and dry.

I work away Mon-Fri. I drive a big Mercedes. Im tall and broad. I use my car to travel a lot. Hundreds of miles a week. I carry my suits, shirts, my food for the week, my bags etc. My kids are tall and broad too. The car they supplied me while mine is being repaired is tiny. A little mitsubishi. No android connection. Therefore no sat nav. Tiny boot. Tiny seats. It has a CD player. Absolute joke. When I complained they said they don’t guarantee a like for like car. This is not appropriate at all. Causing me stress and inconvenience.

I had to talk the customer services department through their process. The person I was talking to seemed to no clue about their claims procedure or what a cover note was. Truly awful customer service.

Automatic Renewals at 50% higher the market price I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Admiral. They automatically renew your policy at prices well above the market rate. When you try to cancel a few days after the renewal, they still charge you GBP 25.00. Additionally, their website does not work—it's a complete nightmare. Stay away as if it were the plague.

First time of using and never again. Took out travel insurance at nearly one hundred pounds for trip to Australia. Policy finished on the 19th April as was return date back to UK. Flight cancelled that evening before midnight due to disruption at Dubai Airport with no return flight possible until the following Friday 26th. I had no idea whether I would be covered as policy had expired. I spent hours trying to contact this company which made it very difficult as they are closed at weekends. The only contact I could get was via email on the Monday no response I sent another on the Tuesday, no response and have up to todays date I have had no response 2 weeks after my trips insurance cover expired. Disgusted that I spent my last week in Australia not knowing whether I was insured through no fault of mine.

We've been with this company at least 10 yrs with 20yrs no claims on both our cars. This year they've put our car insurance up by over 30%!!! They said they could reduce it a bit if we insured our house with them too! They'd probably put that up by 30% next year too! We feel totally ripped off by this company who obviously do not care, at all, about their loyal customers! 😡😡😡😡😡

Been 7 years with this company never had any claims, road offences etc 9ncb total all same circumstances. Renewal price doubled (2500 per year!) for absolutely no reason. I received quotes £ 1100 from gocompare then i phoned admiral to get price match. My call was answered by indian woman i could barely understand what she was saying. She offered me 170 pounds discount off my 2500 premium. I cancelled my policy with those cowboys and happily accepted 1100 quote from another insurance provider. Thats how admiral treating loyal trouble free customers. Greedy chancers avoid !

Oh my goodness, I've just wasted 30 minutes trying to find out why my Policy has increased by over 70%. I think the call Center must be in India, which I have no problems with, except as I have a hearing issue, I struggled to understand the person I spoke to. One of the reasons my policy had gone up was because I was on the platinum policy, I had the same conversation last year when my policy had increased then. I do not want to be put on the most expensive policy each year to be told, they can lower the price. What an incompetent, money grabbing company Admiral are. We are now looking elsewhere. My advice to anyone reading this review, do not use Admiral unless you are happy to have your policy increased by an extortionate amount by being a loyal customer.

We recently had a major flood in our house due to a burst water pipe. We contacted Admiral, our insurer, and were told that the excess was £800 instead of the expected £300. They also added an additional £500 to the excess amount. Moreover, we were offered a very low price to fix the damage, which would have left us out of pocket by £1500. We were extremely disappointed with their attitude towards their clients and found them to be a very unprofessional and untrustworthy outfit. We would advise others not to use them and not to consider making a claim with them.

I am extremely dissatisfied with the recent pricing offer from Admiral Insurance. Despite being a loyal customer with no claims for a year, I expected to benefit from the accumulated no-claims bonus. However, the premium for the upcoming year was higher than the previous year's rate. I have faithfully followed the policy terms and paid my annual premium without fail. I was informed that maintaining a zero-claim record for a year would lead to a more favourable premium. To my dismay, the opposite happened. When I contacted Admeirl Insurance a month ago to inquire about this year's pricing, I was pleased to learn that I had accumulated two years of zero claims. I anticipated a lower premium as a result. However, the offer I received was even higher than last year's premium. This discrepancy is illogical and unfair. This company is ripping off and taking advantage of its customers. Their actions make no sense, and I strongly advise anyone considering renewal to check other providers first. Companies offer a 50% reduction compared to what this company offered me. My advice to everyone is to check thoroughly before choosing Admiral Insurance.

I accidentally rubbed someone's bumper with my van and it didn't even leave a mark I left my details anyway. Then after a while I am told the third party are claiming personal injury so I lose my no claims bonus without any evidence just the word of the third party it's cost me hundreds of pounds so far
