After my car was hit while I was at work, there was a letter left on my car apologising and a phone number left which surprise surprise was a bogus number, I contacted Axa, the first time I have ever tried to claim and 7 months later and annoyingly long phone calls, waiting mainly, I am still waiting for Axa to actually contact me or get back to me to let me know what is going on, this sadly is a modern day trait where online companies know and hope you will just give up trying and pay yourself, WHY are there no bodies monitoring and closing these companies down for legally stealing our money, sadly if you don’t have car insurance you face heavy fines, this is the tip of the iceberg, lots more companies are doing the same, some don’t even have phone numbers on the pretence they are cheaper if there are no phone contracts to pay, what a joke, you only realise how you’ve been had when you try to contact these companies.

The call handling is appalling, I honestly believe people are just sat there staring at the phone ringing. They not only take forever to contact you in regards to a claim but must feel the need to try and push you into admitting guilt. Awful experience I will not be coming back to Axa ever again. My insurance is up with 4 weeks and I will not be renewing with them.

They will offer you 30 per cent of the quotes to fix the damage. It is a bad joke.

After making an initial claim I was told to get a quote. I have been trying to contact them for 4 days to get their agreement to the next steps. I've tried to get through 5 times, giving up after 30, 40, 60, 35, 40 mins. I gave up and emailed them the quote, but haven't heard back for 3 days. I have a broken car and can't get it fixed until I speak to them.

Terrible call centre staff service and attitude. My claim documents have been lost and they clearly cannot be bothered to find them. Making every excuse. Not even possible to speak to a manager or get replies to emails. Have to wait over an hour to get through only to be treated like a boring pain in the neck. USELESS.

If I could give this company -10 the I would. Utterly appalling company. They just do not care about honouring the terms of the policy, nor do they care about agreeing a fair assessment, nor do they care about settling your claim within a reasonable period. Do not use this company.

It is stange that they have 1 star reviews and then they are getting flooded with 5 star reviews, i wonder how that is!!!!! now trustpilot seems to be on evry advert on tv, maybe they are getting worried that people will read about them. If you like to throw your money away go for axa. I will always make sure i am on top of the the review pile, i will never forget how i was left to sort my own problems out

Made a claim on their Home Emergency insurance for a gas leak after being cut off immediately as per law requires (November, no heating, hot water, Cooking). Paid plumber £750 to sort problem out but took 5 days due to his other commitments, not great but fair enough. Took a month to decide that I wasn't fully covered because the plumber reported the problem as a corroded pipe buried in the concrete floor feeding our gas fire. Ended up with £250 after chasing and chasing, lie after lie about the delays processing the claim..........Stay well clear. Crooks!!!!!!!

Huge waiting times of well over an hour to speak to someone. I would avoid using them at all costs! Wish I had checked the other reviews on here before using them for my insurance!

Terrible experience with AXA. Someone went into the back of me two months ago and since making my claim they have not tried to contact me once. They expect you to do all the work for the claim it seems and you spend hours upon hours trying to chase them to do their job. Each phone call you make, you are on hold for a MINIMUM of 50 minutes. I have waited up to 2 hours 10 minutes just to talk to the right person. No one knows how to use the new portal they have or the fact it even exists. I would strongly recommend anyone thinking about AXA going elsewhere.

Where Do I start? Someone went into the back of at me a round about and wrote my car off. Since then AXA has continuously messed up from taking my courtesy away from me a week early then after realising my policy says I have 2 weeks they gave it back, didn't help at the time because of my other half and son being in hoslital 25 miles away. Second time they asked if I wanted my pay out by cheque or bank transfer, after requesting bank transfer I get a phonecall from my old landlord saying a cheque has been delivered to my old address which I changed 3 months prior! Third time they took my excess off me when from the start of the claim they knew the 3rd party insurer admitted full responsibility and happily paid out. I had to phone and after realising they messed up I had to wait a week for my excess money. Fourth time I needed my proof of no claims, I phoned and asked what was the outcome as the other party admitted responsibility and paid out and I got told I lost all my no claims... After explaining to the person on the phone AXA's policy of not at fault and as long as the other insurer pays out my no claims doesnt get touched.. AGAIN they realised their mistake and sent me proof. Now I'm currently over a hour and a half on hold to AXA as my new insurer has tried to double my quote because AXA have not closed the claim case, if you want my advice please stay the hell away!

AXA travel insurance are the most unsimperthetic company ever. My Mum died and had booked a holiday and AXA have behaved in a way that words cannot explain. They are trying everything they can to not payout and as a gift of generosity they sent a cheap boxed hamper to my Dad containing a broken cup. Avoid using this company, they are awful.

I would say no stars. Never know a customer service like it. Every time I ring I'm on the phone average 1 hour and a half before they answer. When it hits 2 hours they hang up. I've been promised a call back and not recieved it. They instructed co part wrong at the start. They forgot to process the payment until I chased it up.  DO NOT USE AXA. Pay a bit more and go elsewhere!!!!
