This is the worst Company for car insurance that I have ever experienced. Avoid! There is no communication between departments and absolutely no communication with the client when a claim is required. I made a no fault claim in April; the third party accepted liability and almost six months later, my claim is not settled. I now need to insure my car and will have to pay an equivalent as if I'd made a fault claim. All communication with AXA has been at my own expense as they do not update their customers in any way, whether a claim iS complex or not. I have been extremely stressed by the experience.

The WORST insurance company ever. Constantly being lied to, emails being ignored, we've been on hold for 45 mins at a time trying to get through. WE HAVE BEEN CHASING THIRD PARTY INSURERS AND CONTACTS OURSELVES TO TRY AND SPEED THINGS UP (Basically doing their job for them) BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO SENSE OF URGENCY. We were involved in a non fault accident and they have made very minimal steps to getting this sorted for us... On going complaint for weeks and it's got us nowhere. They'll take your money for the policy and give you bad service when you do need them. Id rather have paid an extra £500 than go with Axa and have the stress of this... Please save yourself the hassle and never use Axa. You will regret it if you do!

Having a policy with Axa for about 2/3 years and 5 years NCD, thinking my policy would stay the same if not, be cheaper upon renewal. Little did I know, it was put up by £14 p/m when it was renewed. Because I didn't contact them in the first month when it had gone up, I now have to pay £55 to cancel it and go else where. My fault for not checking, yes. I set it to pay monthly so I have peace of mind. Feel ripped off to be honest.

Do not use this company. They ignore e-mails. They will not forward correspondence from 3rd parties, I would like to see that they have acted in my best interest. No transparency whatsoever.

i was conned out of money by AXA as they dlipped in KEY RESCUE cover on this years policy. I have demanded my money back but they said i should have queried this cover in my renewal documents which i never got as i renew automatically each year. i see this as theft. i never asked for it and TRUSTED AXA to look aftery best interests. I was wrong.

Very misleading - I made a decision to go with Axa for my car insurance based entirely on the information that i was given over the phone. I explained the situation with my current NCB fully, i was then put on hold so that the adviser could speak to the NC team. She then came back and reassured me that based on what i had said, they could accept this. I then agreed to go ahead with the policy. Once my NCB documents were sent, i then recieved an email back stating that they could not accept my document, for the exact same reason i mentioned before setting up the policy, and asked for a further £350. This was a total waste of my time on the phone, both setting up the policy and using my 14 cooling off period. I am now waiting for my refund to be processed. I feel that i was mislead and was told anything in order for me to take the policy, in the hope that i would stay on and pay the extra.

I phoned a x a renew my car insurance being an honest person I told them about the two optional Extras I had fitted. They were a under bonnet sound proofing mat and wind reflectors fitted around the drives and passenger doors window frame. These were supplied and fitted by Citroen. So I was gob smacked when they told me they would not insure my car. This is the first time in 44 years I have been refused insurance of any kind. I did get my car insured in the end . All the other insurer's told me that the parts I had fitted were classed as modifications. But not enough to change my insurance. I also have my building and contents insurance with a x a that is due for renewal soon. I think I will look elsewhere.

I have a policy with Axa, and have done for two years now. My insurance went up in price, which I found odd, considering I had no claims on my policy. I agreed to pay the price and renew my policy. Biggest mistake ever, just looked at my bank statement and found that I'm paying even more which I didn't agree to. Disgusting!

Axa are making no effort you communicate with me or get a police report that I wrote to them about 10 weeks ago. No follow up when they said they would when I have chased this. Answering my queries just to shut me up and not answering until I say I want to complain

Bought my insurance online. After 1 year they're going to auto-renew my insurance policy. Tried to cancel the renewal online, but they're making me phone a number. The number isn't available 24hours, and only during set times, so I now need to go out of my way to cancel the insurance policy renewal that I don't want.

Zero stars (but it won't let me submit this form unless I giv ethem 1 star). 2 no fault claims Dec 2015 & May 2016. CCTV & witnesses available. No recovery from either 3rd party has been made for either claim and now my premium has doubled. Do not recommend AXA for car insurance

Took out extra insurance for a hire car, unfortunately the windscreen got hit by a stone resulting in a chip and a cracking. Gave axa all the details and I've heard nothing for two weeks! £380 out of pocket! Will be contacting the insurance ombudsman.

3 months later and still waiting for the payment from my holiday insurance. Axa have agreed the payment amount and have my bank details and each week I call to notify them there's still not been a payment made, just to be told sorry about that I will escalate it to my supervisor. ... This is the 4th week I've been told this so far!!!!

Refused to continue insuring me after 5 weeks, due to my NCD not being to their correct format. Im hoping to get a refund, but its still cost me a small fortune to be insured for a short time. NOT HAPPY

Dreadful service from Axa after having to make a claim. Insured through AA so never had a choice. AA are also useless. Had to wait a total of six weeks between reporting accident and finally getting my car back. Worse thing was it was a driver who reversed into my car in the night and drove off! Had to pay the 300 pounds voluntary excess. Awful service from AXA so would avoid at all costs!

I almost always travel with paid travel insurance. For my last trip, I bought and paid for AXA's travel insurance and unfortunately, had to cancel my trip due to a sensitive medical situation in my family. The attending doctor was kind enough to draft a letter without including sensitive information. With this letter, I was able to cancel my flight with full refund. But when I sent in my claim with AXA for recovery of other prepaid expenses, AXA began demanding for detailed medication information. As I am not prepared to "sell" sensitive medical information for money, I decided not to proceed with the claim. With their responses so far, I am convinced that even if I were to request my attending doctor to draft a letter with the requisite information, AXA will very likely demand to have a second opinion, possibly making it necessary for a visit to their doctors. I will never again buy AXA.
