Only get a good price if you compare with someone else first. Then when your query it by phone they lower the price.

Well Bennets is the cheapest when using a comparison site but ridiculous when calling them direct. I pay less than £100 for bikes over 1000cc but when Bennets try to renew automatically after a year the price goes through the roof. I also asked to add another bike to an existing policy a few days ago and was told the best thing was a multi bike policy. Which came to an extra £50 more than insuring both bikes seperately....I refused and pointed this out. I got a "thank you and good morning" answer from the guy on the phone no alternative was offered. I then went on a comparison site and insured the extra bike for £87. With.....yes you guessed it. BENNETS! Are the people on the phone on commission or something? As they are reluctant to give the cheapest cover and seem intent only on charging as much as the customer will stand. I'll be VERY surprised if Bennets display this review on any "promotional material".

Good bike insurance provider however no incentive for returning customers which is very disappointing. One does not expect to pay more each additional year!

Original quote was competitive. Got Phonecall on for renewal as they claimed could not get payment from card on record. Card had not changed. During phonecall paid using cc and did not have original renewal to hand. On checking renewal discovered they were charging me more over the phone. Phoned them back and now need to wait for chq for the difference. They also withhold number when phoning. I almost did not answer expectig it to be a call about ppi or accident. Not the best experience.

Taking out the policy was straight forward as expected but be aware that letters sent in the post such as requesting no claims discount proof will be different to the corrosponding e-mail. Advice is check both and call bennetts for clarification. If like me your computer is u/s then you will have a problem.

Have two bikes with bennets on one policy needed to add a third one onto policy but was told this was not possible. So got.a quote for separate policy on the third bike which was in fact more for TPFT than I could get it through Go Compare for fully comp with BennettsWas advices to buy it through Go Compare as fella at Bennetts could not match that price ??So May advice would be do your home work to save yourself some cash

Not great. I wanted to insure both a Suzuki GSXR600 and a Ducati 748R on a multi bike policy but was told I couldn't despite being able to insure both bikes separately. This meant having to start from scratch on one bike with no NCB. As it is I have had to cancel the policy on my GSXR to use my no claims bonus on the Ducati and take the GSXR off the road. Don't advertise multi bike policies if you can't provide them

I have been riding bikes for over 35 years. Once again I got a great quote from Bennetts however for the first time I found the renewals process a little frustrating and laborious. Firstly it was difficult to get through on the phone and I probably spent over half an hour in total on the three or four calls it took to sort out my renewal mostly listening to music! This was mainly due to me fully disclosing all the cosmetic modifications I have made to my bike. The main sticking point was a pair of £28 carbon heal guards I have fitted which increased my premium by over £40. Surely the list of non performance enhancing modifications that are accepted could be reviewed and that carbon parts are assessed individually based on their price.

NO SIGN OF IT...... oh yes I remember there is a get out clause that prevents you from supplying any FOC GOODS on a day with a Letter A in it.Oh yes & in a years time please don`t send a renewal quote that is so uncompetitive that it insults my intelligence. Dear Sir'sI was looking into changing my motorbike After a few test rides I chose a bike for me I then rang Bennets on the 6th May to see how much the difference would be. I went through the whole procedure with a very nice guy who under my instruction changed JUST the bike I stressed that I wanted the new policy to have ALL the extras as my last one did. He assured me this was accurate and gave me a case number should I buy the bike. (7168125).The new policy and the old policy's refund together would have meant me paying £220 which I was happy with. I then agreed a deal on the new bike so on the morning of collection I called and spoke with a lady called Gurpreet ext 72064 who told me NONE of the extras were included and that id need to pay £350 for the policy !!!! Shocked and Miffed was not the word she then told me to go online and apply for a new policy on your website I tried doing this but the site wouldn't let me add the extras to the quote. I called back and spoke with a great guy called Kieren I explained the whole boring story to him and he's managed to get me a slightly better quote than in the first place. So I ask you... After doing it all the correct way going through all the questions etc etc why on earth did I not have the extras on the new policy? why OH why was I told to go online but still could'nt add the extras. why if you record the calls would it have taken 2 days to listed to the recording (according to Gurpreet) ? You're very lucky to have my custom at the moment and this is only to how well Kieran handled the issue.ref WEL/MC02policy : NU46325BI wonder if anyone will reply to this ?????????????????????Stewart Holt 07766171213

Got a quote sent to me in a letter. Went on confused.com and got a better one (£30 less). Rang Bennetts and they beat the online quote by a pound. Why not give me the best offer in the first place and save me ringing up? Same game every year.

I joined the local Bloodbike charity and duly informed Bennets. They made an adjustment to my premium of a few pounds which was fair enough and then charged me a £30 admin fee. Total bill came to about 25% of the cost of the premium. I cannot see the justification for such a fee.

Trouble free booking and excellent response. Minor annoyance that you asked for proof of NCD - when you had it all the time! I wonder why I paid so much previously?

I have been a customer with Bennetts for 2 years now. Last year I purchased a brand new Triumph Street Triple R with ABS and insured it with yourselves. I stressed at that time that my bike was the ABS model and after much checking I was told I was covered. This year I received my renewal email quoting £177 as the renewal price at this time I noticed my bike was recorded as a Street Triple R (no mention of ABS). I phoned the renewal desk and agreed to renew my insurance with yourselves but also pointed out yet again that my bike had ABS. You can imagine my surprise when after checking the girl told me I was now expected to pay £244 for my insurance. I have since paid it but I'm not pleased that this oversight went unchecked with your company.

renewal quote was good however why do I have to hang on an expensive call line at my cost to renew business with you! You must do an online facility or give a freefone line

when I sold my bike I informed bennetts and was told I would get a £90 refund then it went down to £75 but then they took £50 off me for cancelling my insurance and I ended up with £25 , what a joke never again

My renewal quotation was an increase of some 60% on the last years price and with no convictions or any alterations to my previous details I queried the price. When I was put through to somebody who could actually help the price dropped dramatically. ALWAYS query your quote because you never get the best deal initially
