We have went with legal and general we made a claim for critical.illness it bas been knocked back they said my partner had a convosation with the doctor 8 year ago about drinking my partner for the life of him cant remember is i said a lot changes in 8.year we now have 2 kids and certainly doesnt go out like he used to 8 years ago they have now went on to cancel the insurance we have now contacted the ombudsman as i.feel.this is so unfair

If I could give them a -10 I would. Horrible company on every level should not have the license to operate.

First i thought it may be them try to rob me of my money as iam foreigner. Money they were taking off me was taken without my knowledge and without my signature so its clear that i should get all that money back (+ what paid my employer and government as thats not THEYS money). I've cancelled pension in march 2021, since then i had no respond from them, i've sent to them 3 mails all signed up and so far it looks like they ignore me. iam waiting till end of next week and if there will be no reaction iam taking solicitor from union as iam union member. Also i think about put case to strassbourg court and/or helsinki as they breaking my rights. i advice do same to everyone, even british citizens as brexit doesnt blocked relation to strasbourg and helsinki court. I highly advice to everyone to keep far away from that company as they behaving like scammers rather than serious company.

Only giving 1 star as I can’t give none, made to wait 12 weeks for my pension money, keep making excuses as to why it hasn’t been paid despite being authorised I need my money as my husband has had a stroke it is MY money not theirs!!!!!

robbing veterans of what they are due when i left the royal air force I transferred my raf pension into a buy out plan after being made guarantees by an employee of legal and general stating my raf benefits would be a minimum that I would receive . It transpires that my pension will not be paid til age 65 fives years after the raf payment date and no tax free lump sum . they then sell my pension to reassure so they can wash there hands off it .what an upstanding company robbing veterans who have served there country .

I have been trying to withdraw some of my savings from my workplace savings account since 19th March 2021, legal & general keep making excuses and send the same forms over & over (stalling tactics ?), it’s now 8th may and I’m no further forward in getting MY money. They sent an email on 28th April asking for my phone number so they could discuss their poor service, I have replied 4 times with my phone number, I have received an automated response each time so I know they have been received but nobody has called. Absolutely appalling service. If I don’t receive the money I have requested by the end of next week then further reviews will be added. This fiasco has cost me a lot of time and stress which customers shouldn’t need to endure just to get something that is rightfully theirs.

They are terrible at paying out a small isa. We've being over 5 months trying to close it down and payed back to the people in the will. Even when we got Grant of Probate which I got setup by Graham Rosen Solicitor's £1260 to claim these amounts back. They now want to proof of where me and my brother live, which they've already had. They've written to me enough. Out of all the investment companies we've been dealing with NONE have been so difficult as Legal & General 🤬🤬🤬

Appalling customer service. I’ve been trying to access some of my savings since 19th March. every time I phone I’m either told the forms will be posted or they have printing issues, almost a month now and still no withdrawal forms have been received. My email complaint was acknowledged but nobody has bothered to contact me. I emailed again asking how to escalate my complaint, but again nobody has contacted me. They like taking money but not paying it out - it’s actually MY money. I will be contacting the financial ombudsman forthwith.

After reading the reviews I think I might have made wrong decision by buying an insurance policy from them, I have made my first genuine claim and which is very plain and simple, and now they’ve transferred me to cotswold group for an investigation. Also read cotswold groups reviews which are really really bad.

I bought dog insurance, as I was on low income, policy went up too £5000 and I had £75 excess for me to pay. My dog needed an op,but they said I would have to pay for it 1st, then claim it bk..if I had the money to pay 1st, I would not need a policy... I paid £600 a year..that would have paid for the operation. My dog is still waiting for the operation, and it's to do with her breathing...!!!!!! I was completely Ripped off...THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE CLOSED DOWN.... DISGRACEFUL...

I have a personal pension with L+G, cash and some shares. I have been unable to see a breakdown of the two since starting the pension early in 2020. All I see is a total. Customer service blithely told me they know there’s a problem and that they’re working on it. This was some weeks ago, nothing has changed, however. Since the shares in question have fallen in value by about 25% since starting the pension, yet the amount hasn’t changed as far as I can see, I’m sure even the total value that I can see is erroneous. I’m taking my money elsewhere.

I have recently turned 55 in March, i have been trying to access my pension pot, i have completed all the relevant paperwork they sent me (TWICE), they have not replied except an auto generated email, i have just spent 45 minutes on the telephone, only to be told there is a glitch in the computer system and to ring back in a week or two then they will be in a better position to process my pension claim, i would like to know my pension pot decreases in the time during their glitch will they indeed compensate me for the loss, sadly i fear not. If anyone out there knows what antiquated computer system they are using that takes weeks to resolve i would like to know, thank you for taking time to read and i will return to this site and let you know how long it takes them to resolve their issues and in turn pay out my pension pot. thank you, a very upset and irate customer of over 30 yrs.

I've never struggled to pay an insurance company before, normally they snap my arm off for every last penny but Legal and General have managed to provide me with a litany of firsts. - First company ever to force me to reset my password to something new, literally every time I log in. I'm up to 7 times in a two month period. - First company to enforce the special characters I can use in my password, presumably because their IT team is not up to scratch and cannot setup their website properly. - First company to not be able to provide me access to my account because someone else at my address also has a policy with them. Also the only company I've ever dealt with that take my money via direct debit and return it, consistently, two days later, before sending a message to complain I haven't paid. Then you try and get in contact and wait and wait and wait. Don't bother, I've cancelled the account. Based on what I've seen of their IT, I've also asked them to remove all my data, I'm sure they'll be the next company in the news about a data breach.

Mother passed away in August 2020 with L&G Life Insurance Policy. They are STILL to this day (April 2021), disputing whether she is actually legally dead, and refusing to accept the death certificate. This is obviously because they put the payout money into an account with massive interest whilst they scramble to find a loophole so they don't have to pay out. AVOID AVOID AVOID!

Legal & General Pet Insurance don't even deserve a star. I no longer know if my pet is still insured, no policy details for the year 2021 - 2022 have been sent out, phone calls to them are a waste of time as no one seems to know what they're doing, emails are rarely, if ever replied to, it took them almost 8 months to finally send out claim settlements....the list goes on. Even my Vet is fed up with them and is finding it almost impossible to work out how much I owe them, due to Legal & General Pet Insurance being an absolute nightmare to deal with. Do not go near this company for ANY insurance if you value your sanity and peace of mind.

Should it really take 50 days to get my money from my pension? The best solution is to transfer your money to another reputable company, and you will get your money a lot quicker than 50 days! Do your homework though on the company that you are transferring your money to.

customer service is completely unacceptable, to resolve simple issue its taking months, even today its not dealt with. All I get from customer service, we are busy and it will taking longer.(HOW LONG 1 YEAR)? my advise to all, never use L&G again.

Would give no stars if possible, do not use at any cost, still taking payments from deceased persons account nearly a year on and no settlement and no way forward, quite unbelievable really.

I had Home Insurance cover with L&G for about 6 years which I wanted to discuss as I've not had any paperwork or emails such as renewel documention etc for at least the last 3 years. I have just tried calling and after spending the last 45 minutes on hold with no luck in speaking to someone have completed the online request form. Apparently I will get contacted in the next 48 hours but I'm not holding my breath. My issue is non urgent but if this is how poor customer service is I will just cancel the direct debit and take my business elsewhere
