not impressed, I phoned to change a bike on my multi policy with less than a month to run on my existing policy and was advised that I could have an early renewal which I went for. When I was sent my new insurance documents through I found that I had been given an early renewal but the new policy had been dated from that day meaning I lost almost 4 weeks from my old policy. It took best part of 1 hour on the phone for you to get it wrong so I haven't phoned to complain but will not be renewing next year.

Was sent my renewal, as per usual went online and found it cheaper with the same insurer. Then went to buy and the site crashed. Called the online number - this is when it got worse ! Customer service rubbish asked another 101 question even though they have had all my details for years. Was then told my quote would be £35 dearer. Not impressed. Went back online to another site and bought same policy cheaper. Mce need to get there act together.

Representative treated the client as a new customer instead of an existing client. He operated in a similar fashion to a robot and could not answer basic questions. Training (not retraining) is required of your personnel. Questions remain unanswered.

Spending 45 min on the phone, with 13 min on hold at the first call, is simply unacceptable. Once I talked to a person the service was good, but background noise from others in the office made it difficult to understand at times. Good price and good cover!

I find it outstanding that I can get MCE insurance cheaper through a broker than dealing with you directly. Why is this?

despite being a loyal customer and having a strong no claims bonus, MCE took the first opportunity to hike my premium. sadly i had too little time to shop around this time round but i will definitely do so in the foreseeable future.

I have been trying to insure my new bike a Ducati Monster 1200s 2017 model for over 4 weeks but it is not listed on the choice of models the 2016 model I was quoted £235.comp give or take once I managed to call in and insure my new bike my insurance was quoted at£1800 +/_ saying I am 3 weeks out of the 3 year no claims so going from 5+ years no claims to 0 no claims so you can see why I feel very disappointed

When I rang to renew the girl I spoke to was probably the rudest person I have ever spoken to. She talked too quickly and when I asked her to slow down she ignored me completely. The last straw was when I asked for printed documents to be sent to me because my printer had packed up she said that it wasn't her problem and I'd have to sort my documents out myself. I was so annoyed I put the phone down on her and renewed through compare the market. Awful experience!!!

Wanted to renew policy online, facility not available and unable to download documents. Waited an eternity on the phone to speak to an advisor who said they could process the renewal on the phone - penalty an extra £40!!. Went through comparison website and took out new policy for lower price. Documents not emailed or readable online. Another eternity on the phone before getting documents sorted and cover proven. Very helpful advisor this time -thanks Sian D who sorted issues. Previous advisor had been unhelpful regarding NCB. I sense if you make a claim here it will be difficult to achieve a positive outcome. Will not be renewing with them again.

couldnt download my documents why dont you send thru the post i dont have access to a printer ect will not insure with you again.....if i had known wouldnt have done this time...

Contacting MCE insurance has never been more stressful, i have had multiple policies with them in the past and they were great but trying to renew my policy has been a pain. They wont give you a renewal quote unless you ring them, which leaves you on hold for on average 30mins & if you have already searched around they refuse to give you a renewal quote from themselves. I tried to contact them on many of their ways of communication methods. Call back in 48 hours (I heard nothing from them), Speak to someone online (They assured me i would get a call back the same day but again i heard nothing from them). Ive attempted to ring multiple times & I now have 2 days left on my current policy & I cant get in contact with them to either take out a new policy or get proof of no claims. I think ill avoid MCE Insurance from now on

call center new policy department quite rude / not very polite / not customer friendly. lost 100£ as got policy cancelled because on temporary motor ID number (was waiting for DVLA plate numbers). no contact / information from MCE that policy was running out. Though receiving calls once a week from MCE marketing department to take additional cover.

Saleswoman on phone incredibly abrupt like she could not be bothered. Didn't want to work through the quote; in fact at one point I said 'if you're not bothered I can go elsewhere'. Barely helped. In fact if it were not for my long standing relationship with MCE I would've gone elsewhere - she made the experience almost intolerable.

The advisor I spoke to when taking out bike insurance was not prepared to listen to my needs and questions and even argued with me about the text I received. Abrupt, boarder line rude and unhelpful. I also have not received my documentation 5 days after taking out the policy. Not a good experience

I was on the phone for 45 minutes just to renew my policy. They guy said it was your procedure to ask for ALL the information again. Nothing had changed. Nothing. Tedious beyond belief. If you don't fix this I will not renew again. It is entirely unnecessary and not my experience with other motor insurers.

As seems to have come up on here a few times their renewal system is very poor, quoted different prices through compare websites to over the phone. Their customer services also told me that if it was cheaper through the compare site to buy online there as they couldn't match the price - which seems crazy. The quote experience is also pretty rubbish, as when I ring up about a renewal quote I don't expect to have to tell the call centre all my complete details again as if it's a new quote - very frustrating.

On renewing my policy I was quoted 144.25 by an MCE operative. Go compare quoted me 110 and when the renewal documents came through via email my policy was 85.79. the extra cover for europe was 66 pounds which I don't mind paying for but as for the actual insurance policy I feel that I have been ripped of by MCE as being quoted 3 different prices. I actually paid 110 on Go compare. MCE LOOK AT YOUR RENEWAL SYSTEM

I have purchase Insurance for my Motorbike about 5-7 days ago , received the request to complete a survey ( and chased once over the Telephone ) and still no documentation received by Email or Post ??? so far not impressed, cannot imagine what happens if I try and claim for any reason or need urgent help.

In the end I got the cheapest insurance I could find... but the hassle I went thru. Never again. Spent over 45 min on the phone being transferred from one person who is "definitely going to help me" to another who " will know exactly what to do". Terrible customer service over the phone. It send shivers down my spine when I think about what I will have to go thru if I get into accident. Avoid if you can. I will.
